WELCOME TO LAKE LURE!! Our Happy Place is located inside the gates of Rumbling Bald Resort. It's the perfect place for a family vacation or golf groups. Enjoy the direct views of Bald Mountain and watch the golfers as they play along the 3rd fairway of the Bald Mountain Golf Course. Sip your coffee or cocktail on the front porch while enjoying your sunrise and sunset. The condo is newly renovated and decorated. You will have access to the resort amenities - which includes indoor/outdoor pools and lazy river, walking distance to a private beach, restaurants, fitness center and spa, tennis and basketball courts, mini-golf, hiking trails, and MUCH MORE!

The main level bedroom has 2 queen beds and a full bath (shower only) with double vanity sinks. The bedroom opens to the front porch. The upstairs bedroom includes 2 full beds and 2 twin beds on a platform. A full bathroom is directly outside of the bedroom. The bedroom opens to a private balcony that seats 2. It overlooks a fully furnished patio off the kitchen below.

Our Happy Place is a 15 min drive to the nearest grocery (Ingles). It is conveniently located 45-60 min to Asheville and Hendersonville and a short 25 min drive to Chimney Rock and Rutherfordton. It is also a 30 min drive to the FEI World Equestrian center in Tryon, NC. Enjoy hiking trails along your way and wonderful shops in the small cities of Western North Carolina.

Another great trip

We stayed at this property last year and came back again this summer. The condo was clean and comfortable. The host is wonderful! She worked with us when we had to reschedule our stay due to an illness, and she was accessible and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Will Definitely Stay Again!

We had the most wonderful stay! The condo was very clean and comfortable! There was plenty of room for the 4 adults and one child we were with. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets and towels. We had car issues while we were there so we weren’t able to leave the resort but there was plenty to do every day. We rented a golf cart to get around the resort and it was fun driving it to the pools and beach every day. We took the boat tour of Lake Lure and got pizza from Legends restaurant on the lake. A mechanic finally came out to the resort and got our car fixed the day of check out. Audra was very understanding and accommodating We made some wonderful memories and hope to return again soon!

A Fun Weekend!

My youngest grand daughter wanted to spend her birthday at Lake Lure with family. We had a great time. The condo is very accommodating for families with kids. It is well furnished, clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities--lake, pool, lazy river--a fun time for all!

This property is perfect for a little relaxing getaway at the lake! The amenities such as the pools and private beach access to the lake were great! the owner was helpful and we would book again!

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at The Mountains Win Again! The property looked exactly like the online listing and was spacious and comfortable. My son's absolutely loved the loft space! The property manager was professional and responsive. We would absolutely stay at this property again!

The Mountains Certainly DO win again!

Everything about this property is perfect. Check-in was very easy and communication with the owner was fantastic! We have a 3 year old so we asked if we could access the amenities prior to check-in and Audra was more than accommodating. In fact, when we arrived two hours before check-in the property had been cleaned so Audra let us check-in early which was very much appreciated with our little one. The home itself is immaculate; very clean, well decorated, comfortable furniture, and well appointed. If you think you need to bring a bunch of stuff to enjoy your getaway, you don’t. The kitchen is the most well equipped rental home I’ve ever stayed in. The separate a/c unit in the downstairs bedroom was a July heatwave dream! It was so nice to crank the a/c down for a nice relaxing sleep while not freezing everyone else in the house out. We rented a golf cart from the pro shop for the week. At $95 a day it’s pricey but oh my is it convenient. Definitely worth it for our family but using your car to get around would work as well. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the pool and/or lake. Thank you Audra and family for allowing us to stay in your home. We had an absolute ball and will definitely book again.

Perfect!

We loved our stay in Lake Lure! The condo was very clean and modern and had everything we needed. We were in Lake Lure for a wedding at Rumbling Bald, so we were very close to all the events. We also enjoyed the pool, pickle ball, tennis, and the mini golf. We would love to come back and stay again!

This condo is a gem. It is beautifully updated, very clean, and well stocked. The location is great and there are multiple amenities available. We didn't have time to check them out on our short stay, but are definitely planning on staying here again. Check in and Check out were easy, as well.

Clean and Comfortable

My family of 6 stayed at “Our Happy Place” for 5 days over my sons’ winter break. The condo was clean and comfortable. The owner communicated well and in a timely fashion which made check-in and check-out easy. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated have plenty of sleeping spaces that did not include the common areas. The kitchen served our purposes of quick and easy meals with not a lot of prep. The table and chairs in the kitchen gave us plenty of space to share our meals, as well as family board games. Multiple TVs and comfortable sitting areas allowed my sons to enjoy gaming while my husband and I enjoyed watching some of the college football bowl games. We enjoyed Chimney Rock State Park and snow tubing during our visit.

Cute golf condo

The condo is a a great golf community with amenities, pretty remote, beautiful views, quiet and safe! Takes about 30 minutes to get to the strip where the shops and restaurants are (driving around the lake). Condo is well equipped and decorated perfectly. Nice comfy beds.

Great place, hope to be back!

The condo was clean and organized. Everything you might need is included, without being cluttered. Location is great with lots to do nearby. The restaurant within the resort was super convenient for last minute pizza. Beds were very comfortable. Host seemed nice and provided great communication. Definitely would recommend!

Anniversary Getaway

Description is accurate, view was amazing, condo is clean with comfy beds, activities in the area are many and entertaining, and the drive around is thrilling and sightful. The home is well stocked, nice decor, pleasant furniture, and relaxing and peaceful views from the front porch. We enjoyed having our morning breakfast outside on the deck while watching the golfers and reflecting on our Mountain View’s. And if you listen carefully, you can hear the rushing water from the other side on the green. The only bummer we encountered and is no reflection on this rental, is the property restaurant. It was mediocre for the expense, but view was stunning. We want to return and spend more time here and in the area. Thanks for the opportunity!

Short and sweet visit

Overall, the facility was great! We did experience a hiccup that really didn’t settle well though. The garbage service that you are supposed to use was full. Upon checkout, due to hosts Covid procedures: guest take out all garbage. That wouldn’t have been a huge issue if we didn’t have to take the trash to the dump ourselves, which took us 20min out of our direction of travel. The procedure also includes doing a quick kitchen clean and bringing all linens to the washing machine. I didn’t mind doing that, however, my husband wasn’t thrilled. It was nice to get away and the lazy river and outdoor pool was a huge hit! We even took our paddle boards to local spot down the road, so much fun.

Relaxing and Comfortable

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this Lake Lure property! The condo was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. There are two nice patio areas to sit outside and enjoy the breeze or the view of the golf course. The Rumbling Bald resort was beautiful and had lots of fun things for us to do together as a family. We would definitely stay here again.

We are a OSU Buckeye loving family from OHIO!! Lake Lure has been a family vacation destination for our family for nearly 40 years. My parents started taking us to Lake Lure and now multiple generations enjoy the mountains and lake life.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We had been looking at properties for a couple of years. When Our Happy Place went on the market my mom fell in love with the views and overall location. Because our children had enjoyed summers swimming in the trout stream pool, hiking, riding golf carts, and swimming in the lake we knew this was a life long dream to make happen.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The views are amazing from our front porch. You can walk out in the mornings and just listen to the stillness. You wake to the birds chirping and on many mornings you can hear the trout stream flowing. We love the many adventures you can take and most important the memories to be made. We love Lake Lure!!
