100% awesome place! The house is a modern beach mansion, still has that “new house” smell. The location can’t be beat, right on your private beach. We will be back for sure. This place is a gem. Watching movies in the theater room was an added over the top bonus. Thank you!

This was a great house for the 14 of us - which included 6 children ages 7 and under. It was clean and had almost everything we needed. We loved the location that was so close to the beach without being right on it, so we didn't quite have to worry that the littles were going to inadvertently venture into the water. Romy was responsive to our questions and needs. The kids loved the game room where they could snuggle with a blanket and watch a show or movie before bedtime - which provided some nice quiet time for the adults. We loved that the town, a great brewery and grocery shopping were not too far of a drive, along with some farmer stands for local produce - and don't miss out on the state park which is just down the road. Someone had mentioned the privacy of the beach - yes, we found that locals do come down and use the steps to access the beach, though we never had a problem with them - they were polite and respected our privacy by going down the beach a bit rather than staying in front of the house. Would we consider staying there again? For sure!

The house has an unobstructed view of the Bay, is secluded and lovely. It is very well equipped.

Our family gathered here for a vacation after a busy action packed summer. The house offered a quiet retreat for us and we had a great time. Highly recommend this home.

Wonderful beach vacation

This home was exactly what we wanted for our family vacation with little kids and grandparents. Plenty of room, very comfortable, clean, and so close to the beach. Not many people on the beach so it felt relatively private; water was gentle and good for kids. Fun to visit the town and then relax at the house by the water in such a peaceful spot.

Dolphin Bay beach house was perfect for our family reunion vacation. Plenty of room and steps to the beach made it convenient to enjoy the sand and water anytime. House was clean and well furnished. Pat was a great host!

Excellent Family Vacation

One of the best properties we have ever stayed at. It was so well stocked with everything. The kitchen cabinets were labeled and contained everything you could possibly need. The house was clean and in excellent condition. We loved having a beach area that was so private. There were nine adults, three small children and two babies in our group and there was plenty of room in the house for all of us. I would highly recommend this property.

Jewel on the bay

Picketts Harbor is a wonderful retreat. We loved the walks along the secluded shore and enjoying the beautiful sunset over the bay. From the host to the caretakers, everyone was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. The house was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The whole family enjoyed their stay!

Fabulous vacation house!

Beautiful property with view of the bay. We had a glorious family reunion here with people of all ages. The beach was beautiful and secluded and the hot tub was great for the couple of overcast days we had. Plenty of kids toys, games, floaties, beach chairs and towels, whatever we needed was there. Communication with the owner was superb.

Awesome times with Family & Friends

We have a yearly cousins get- together and we picked Cape Charles and Chesapeake Bay this time. Glad we did that, the views are spectacular, you got the beach almost to yourself. The hosts were super nice, responsive and caring for anything we needed. Kids and all family had a wonderful time creating so many beautiful memories.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time with our family! For most of the kids it was the first time they seen the ocean. We seen crabs and lizards. Had some beautiful sunsets. Just had a great time relaxing with the family.

Sitting on our upper or lower deck and watching birds, fish, boats and enjoying peace and quiet with only one close neighbor is very relaxing. We were blessed to find this little piece of Heaven and build our family home. Something this beautiful needs to be shared.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We were fortunate to have found and purchased this very uniquely located beach front property within a mile of Kiptopeake State Park. House is new and sits on one acre with only one neighbor within sight. Only 50 feet to waters edge on slight incline, easy. Hand rail to assist coming up.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

PRIVATE and QUIET. Very few, if any beach homes like this are constructed on a fairly level lot but with easy access down path to water of bay with energizing waves. Peaceful, as you can walk both directions on shore line without seeing people, just birds, sometimes dolphins and jumping fish. This is definitely a special place. Usually a gentle breeze helps keep the insects and no see them away. The lot has 100 year old wild Cherry trees as well as oak and native trees. Woods adjoin our lot on three sides, so there is an abundance of wildlife. Eastern Shore of Virginia is a hidden jewel that many eventually find and return again and again. Come visit and see why we are so special!
