Great views, close to everything. Having the parking was a big plus and easy to access thru the lobby elevator. The hosts communicate nicely with any detail about check in check out, parking, transportation directions, etc,.

Convenient Location

We were busy with adventures most days and this condo was a nice retreat after driving all over the island. The day we had nothing planned, it was nice to just walk and explore the area. Conveniently located by car or foot this made our vacation an enjoyable experience.

Honolulu Vacation

We had a wonderful stay in Honolulu. We love the location of the Ilikai because of its convenience and that it is at the outside edge of the craziness of Waikiki. The view and sunsets were spectacular.

A few day, getaway

We booked this property based on the view and it did not disappoint! The beds were comfortable and the space clean. Communication with the property owners was easy and fast… thank you for creating a home away from home with a decent price!! Would definitely stay here again!

Great Condo up at the less crowded end of Waikiki. The condo had everything needed for fun at the beach, pool. The owner, Beverly was very easy to work with. The view from the lanai was post card perfect!

This is a fantastic retro style condo with amazing views from the Lanai. The host is awesome. Don't hesitate to book this location if you're in Oahu.

The Perfect Stay

We had a great stay at Chris's Unit. It really was a perfect place for everything, VIEWS, beach access, restaurants and entertainment. We did have a rental car and used the Ilikai Valet Parking, it was $28 per day, well worth it. Communication and coordination with Chris was excellent. We'd definitely stay here again.

Ocean Front Stay

Our stay at the Ilikai was amazing! The view was spectacular and centrally located right downtown on the beach. There was a fantastic coffee shop in the building which was nice to have and a lot of great restaurants in the area. An unexpected bonus was the parking spot for our rental car as they had just acquired one in the building, that made our stay even easier as we did not have to worry about where to park. A stay here will not disappoint!

A perfect apartment in paradise

This lovely and comfortable apartment lives up to the description on VRBO. The view is amazing, the bed is comfortable, the accommodations are well appointed, the location is excellent. We even saw a rainbow the morning of our check-out. We have no reservations about recommending this wonderful apartment.

Amazing Hawaiian views

The listing was accurate, but the experience was so much better. The view was incredible. The sunsets more amazing than we can describe. We even watched the waxing crescent moon set!! We loved waking up to the ocean view. We loved the lanai!! Thank you for sharing your piece of Heaven with us!!

Clean, pretty cozy condo with beautiful harbor view. We had a rainbow over the harbor almost every morning when having a breakfast on balcony🌈. The owner was caring and helpful with good communication. The condo is located between Ala moana shopping center and waikiki shopping area. We had a rental car and the place is convenient to go out with free parking. It is much quieter than than center of waikiki beach and you can enjoy the pool and Hilton lagoon in just a few min walk. We’d like to come back soon!

Business Stay

Overall the listing is very accurately described. Nice view of marina and ocean from the balcony. Pool was good and bar restaurant in hotel was good with lots of choices within walking distance. parking is expensive and the other options of marina lot and public parking make it better but its a pain sometime finding a spot for the $1 overnight parking - not anyone's fault - just the dynamics of the area

Nice place in an older facility

Worst thing about staying here is that you'll have the hawaii-5-0 theme in your head for much of the stay. On a serious note, nice condo in the heart of Waikiki. Ilikai has been around since 1964, so it is an older place, nothing wrong with that. Had no issues at all, communication with owner was clear and concise. Walking distance to ala moana mall, where we enjoyed several mai tai's at mai tai's bar.

Paradise for 2!

Adorable condo in a fabulous location. Overlooks the Gilligan’s Island harbor, walkable to sandy swimming beaches, surf spots, kiddy lagoons, and a 20-25 minute walk from the heart of Waikiki. AC unit was a life saver after being in the heat all day. Comfy bed and fully equipped kitchen (but we didn’t cook anything). It’s a studio setup so might be ok for more than two if you are super comfy sharing small spaces, but we loved it for just the two of us. Waking up to the sights of the boat masts, surfers, paddlers, and sailers was perfection. Hosts were quick to respond when I needed them and even sent a local friend to deal with the evidence of pigeons left on the balcony. Now there’s a bucket and brush too so that made it easy to keep clean when needed. 😎 I’d stay here again. Thank you for wonderful memories!

Stunning Views from Tired Condo

Condo with excellent views from the terrace in the low key, friendly Ilikai Hotel and Suites. Unit was a bit disappointing due to the worn and dated tile in kitchen, bath and shower stall. There was Inadequate lighting in living space and water from air-conditioner needed to be emptied regularly. As a frequent renter, I rely on reviews that lead to clear expectations. Communication with hosts was excellent. If you overlook the tiredness of the unit, the views are stunning.

The view! The location!

This VRBO was everything we wanted for our first trip to Hawaii! Communication from Chris started early which was greatly appreciated, and he was responsive throughout. We spent a lot of time on the balcony watching the ocean, the surfers and the boats. We had a gorgeous view! The suite was very clean. The king sized bed was comfortable. There were plenty of towels for both of us. The cute retro- kitchen had appropriate pots, pans and appliances. And we were a 5 minute walk to the beach, 5-30 minute walk to fantastic restaurants and shopping. We did not rent a car, and only needed an ride share to site see. Thank you for your hospitality Chris!

Amazing view

I read all the reviews on this property and I would say they are pretty spot on. The communication with Kiersten (Josh) was friendly, prompt and so helpful. The condo is dated and not fancy, but it is clean and welcoming. The bed is extremely comfortable and my adult son slept on the futon and said it was great. The kitchen is well equipped (we didn’t use anything but the fridge) and there were added touches like a few laundry pods, a deck of cards and a few beach chairs and a cooler. I can’t express enough how good the view is. This is our first trip to Waikiki and it left a huge impression, there was so much to watch from the balcony and it easily holds 4-5 chairs. We are in a fancier hotel downtown Waikiki for the rest of our trip with “ocean views” and it does not even come close to the views from this condo. If your goal is to be on water, with show-stopping views this is the place for you and as long as you know it’s not a 5* resort your stay will be amazing!

It was amazing and just like the pictures!!

After a long trip, we walked into the warmth of this beautiful condo that transported us to the Hawaiian life. The spectacular view went from one wall to the other, top to bottom, was always filled with the ocean, sunsets, rainbows, marina, and ships! We loved sitting on the lanai eating our meals and/or relaxing to the quiet moments. The king size bed was heavily to sleep on and we could see out all night. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted. No car was needed. We were also delighted that the bus took us all around Waikiki for $2.00. AND it picked us up right outside our condo building. The condo was a short stroll to Waikiki Beach and the lagoon. The owner was amazing and easy to work with and got back to you quickly. She supplied us with a fold up grocery stroller, beach chairs, towels, umbrella…all for our use. The owner gave us so many great ideas of places to see and eat. And every day or night we got to go back to our relaxing room and sit on the lanai and watch the ocean. We will definitely come back to this beautiful condo!

I commute between the Mariana Islands and Hawaii and am actively involved in travel and tourism. I own a small tv production company that produces news and travel segments, and I also founded and operate an adventure travel business that has locations on Saipan and Guam. We do really fun activities that include hiking, mountain biking, zip lining, ATV Riding, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, and Go Karting. I love ocean sports, beach volleyball, soccer, tennis, and baseball.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I love staying here, it's right on the water and easy to paddle out to some of the best breaks on the south shore. Tennis and volleyball are nearby at Ala Moana Beach Park and everything is within walking or biking distance. The Ilikai has a lot of charm, and it's great to have a kitchen, a direct ocean view, the safety, security and cleanliness of a well-managed hotel and still be in Waikiki. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

When walking into the unit, the ocean view always takes my breath away and I love looking at the waves out front and all of the boats in the yacht harbor. Sunsets here are pretty special and with boats coming and going no two are ever the same. It's great being on the ocean side of Ala Moana Boulevard as you can be in the water in a couple of minutes without driving and it's very easy to walk to just about anywhere. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby as well as Foodland Farms grocery store (inside Ala Moana Shopping Center) which has great local produce, fresh bread, poke, and lots of gourmet items. The kitchen is well equipped and you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner right out on the lanai overlooking the water, with a better view than just about any restaurant in Oahu. The 15th floor is really the sweet spot.....incredible views and you can still hear the ocean and island music from below.
