Nestled in the woods but Close to downtown, this little cabin will keep you warm. Summer time offers outdoor BBQ, seating and campfire ring. Enjoy quiet nights or local restaurants or walk to the Talkeetna River. You will find lots of trails and a quick flight to Denali from our sleepy little town.
This cottage was a lovely little stay for us while we did a quick stop in Talkeetna to break up the drive between Denali NP and Seward. It was just two of us and would have been a little cramped with any other adults but was just what we needed. The host is very communicative and even provided us a list of recommendations around the area for food and how to explore. While not directly next to the Main Street area, we had no trouble walking (1 mile) to the restaurants/shops. Overall we would recommend this cottage!
Cabin was clean and comfortable for our young family. Quick/easy to visit downtown Talkeetna yet calm and quiet yard to enjoy the fire pit. Host is very responsive and helpful, would gladly stay again.
This is a cute, well appointed tiny house. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. A close walk to downtown. Amenities included plenty of coffee, hot chocolate and popcorn! My only wish was a bathroom sink.We would return.
The hosts were amazing and we were impressed with their communication, and working with us. We experienced two days of flight delays and cancelations such that we arrived a day late. The cabin is cozy and clean and suited our needs perfectly. We like to go for 7-mile walks so an easy walk into Talkeetna.
Cozy house in the woods, near the airstrip. We watched a plane land between trying out all the ski and snowshoe trails. It has all the necessities without too much. Wonderful place to reset.
Perfect little cabin for me and my husband. Warm, clean and cozy with all the amenities needed!
Even though thereâs another home close by itâs very private and quiet and on a quiet street!
Was so fun walking into Talkeetna (about a mile walk)
Thank you for a beautiful stay!
This place was like being in a she shed in the boondocks it was not dirty but it was musty the bed was up against the wall pretty much on two sides almost on three It was rockhard and very uncomfortable. The bathroom was like a closet with a commode and shower no sink. There was no television the love sofa was musty with one wall of refrigerator sink stove water heater two seater table that only one chair fit at and the door could have been unlocked by anyone who had the key code at any time. The host was very kind prior to our checking in and gave us some good advice she was appreciated however we do not recommend This building
Les points faibles : Communication, emplacement, exactitude de lâannonce
Owner overbooked and sent us elsewhere without our knowledgeâŠ
We reached out for check-in information not long before our stay. The next day, we received a message that weâd been âupgradedâ to a different cabin. When we arrived, the location was totally different. We asked the property manager what happened and were told, âShe (the original cabin operator) triple-booked her place, so she asked if you could stay hereâ. The property where we stayed was okay but not what we reserved. It was not walking distance to downtown as the property we reserved was. We drove by the property we reserved at it appeared unoccupied. The property we stayed in had a ladder to an upper loft where the second bed was located. The property we reserved had two beds on the ground floor. The ladder was a bit sketchy for sure. We messaged the property owner of the original property expressing our concerns and received no reply. Be careful with this property.
We found the property to be as described and perfect for our needs. The heater took me a moment to master but very quickly warmed the cabin. Talkeetna was all we hoped, lively, friendly, great food options, live music, brewery and more. We were even blessed with an appearance by Denali during our first evening in town. Turned out to be the only sighting, but we were thrilled to see it.
We were just here for two nights using Talkeetna as a jump for Denali. The cabin was just as presented. Rustic feel but clean and comfy. The only comment I would have it that a sink is not present in the bathroom so expect to use the kitchen for that âŠand it would be nice if there was a plug near the mirror in the bedroom for drying hair in front of a mirror. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely stay again if we find ourselves here again.
Long time Talkeetna resident who loves to fly, run a lodge and provide traveler services in Denali State Park. My passion for travel and living in the village has rounded out our hospitality service. Living close by, we offer help and any suggestions you might need to have a wonderful experience n Talkeetna and Denali.
