Great place! Very clean and well stocked with everything you need for a get away. Bed was comfy and linens were very nice. Host was attentive and friendly. Wildlife watching so entertaining we hardly turned on the tv. The view is world class!
The setting is idyllic.Quiet, peaceful, and restful. The host anticipated every little detail to ensure a comfortable stay. We highly recommend the Loft on the Henry's Fork!
Property is perfectly located in order to find access to the various trout streams in the Ashton Idaho region. I asked for a hose in order to wash down our waiters and waiting boots and the owner was more than happy to provide access to a hose. They also provided some local knowledge which helped confirm some of our more adventurous exploration Itineraries overall, I would stay here again, especially as the Ashton area is an annual pilgrimage for me.
The property was exactly as described. We used it as a hime base for our Yellowstone and Grand Teton exploring. Peaceful and relaxing and everything you'd need was available. Laura's communication and her binder guide of travel tips and local spots was so appreciated. Book it. You'll love it.
The location of this property and views from the space are unmatched. It is so relaxing with the river just below and the quick access to amazing fishing was exactly what I was looking for. I look forward to staying there next year!
Amazing views. The place came well furnished and was very clean. From the view out the living room window we watched Ospreys and Bald Eagles diving for fish. The husband caught trout by the nearby bridge and damn. Many anglers were also observed fishing in the Snake River.
We have been coming here for 3 years. Itâs just the very best place in Ashton for a couple. The views, the sunsets, the river is right in front of you.
One of the best experiences we have had with short term stays. We stayed two weeks and enjoyed the location, the home, and the hosts. The home was in excellent condition, and everything was just as advertised. The hosts were super responsive and met all our needs and questions.
We really enjoyed our stay at the loft. This is probably one of the cleanest VRBOs we've stayed in. The kitchen was well stocked, both in terms of equipment and some treats like tea and cocoa. We appreciated having a washer and dryer available, and the location was a good base camp for our week-long fly fishing trip. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The only issue was a lack of central air conditioning (which the property had, but it was out of service). There was a window unit, but it was pretty far from the bedroom. We really appreciated the room darkening blinds. The property had everything we needed, and all the appliances were brand new. The property was also immaculately clean.
We truly enjoyed our stay! The views from every window were amazing! Check in was easy and everything was very clean! Plenty of towels, well stocked kitchen and very spacious.
We have been at this place the 2nd time. It is absolutely our favorite anywhere in Idaho and Montana. Big thank you to the hosts! We wish we could own it LOL
My fly fishing husband and I stayed in this beautiful loft apartment for two weeks and have only good things to say about our time here. The views from the loft were spectacular and my husband was right on the famous Henry's Fork of the Snake River to fish to his heart's content. It was a comfortable drive to the entrance of West Yellowstone for our national parks days.
The kitchen was very well outfitted; we had everything we needed to cook our own meals and feel "at home". The grill came in very handy. The loft was amply supplied with amenities (bedding and towels, kitchen supplies, cleaning and paper products, etc.). Our host was quick to respond to any questions we had and is as lovely a person as her rental property is a grand getaway! Thanks again, Laura.
We have lived in Ashton for the past 25 years. My mother was born and raised in Idaho Falls. I grew up in California but we spent every summer out here in the Island Park area. My husband is a builder and I finally convinced him to build me my dream home at this location and we moved in almost 5 years ago. The apartment is above a shop next to our home. When I am not teaching at the local high school, I love to hike, ski, kayak, and do anything outdoors. My husband can be found on the golf course or fishing in his spare time. We are excited to host you at this spectacular location. Our dog, Zoey, will provide a happy tail-wagging welcome to you when you arrive.
This property and listing is a fly fisherman's dream location. The section of the river from Ora Bridge to the Ashton Dam has some of the best brown and rainbow trout fishing around. The boat launch is just 400 yards down the road and the river can be easily accessed in this area. A new bridge was just finished this spring and the area from the bridge to the dam is wadable for most of the summer. The location of this property is not just for fishermen-- it is an ideal location for taking day trips into Yellowstone or Jackson Hole. The area of Island Park is just a stone throw away as well. Harriman State Park is close by and offers great hiking and fishing. There is so much to do in this area!
I love watching the Osprey fishing the river below and the bald eagles soaring at eye level from the apartment window. At night coyotes can be heard howling and an occasional owl will visit the property. The sunsets are a memorable experience every night along with the plethora of stars in the sky. This is Idaho at its best!!
