What a beautiful retreat! Flying Squirrel Lakeview is a 4-bedroom cabin located in a peaceful gated community. Flying Squirrel is the perfect mountain getaway for the whole family.

Great open floor plan allows for great family time while enjoying all the comforts needed for a great vacation. Flat screen televisions and WIFI throughout this home featuring a great downstairs Rec Room with games, ping pong table and more. Relax in the hot tub while enjoying the spectacular views. The Master Bedroom features a King Bed, second and third bedrooms feature a Queen Size Bed, and the fourth bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds. Enough room for the entire family and friends, up to 10 people and two full and one-half bathrooms.

Enjoy the double outside full deck enhanced to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the area. Catch glimpses of Lake Nantahala as you relax on the decks. Spacious, open Living Room with gas Fireplace to relax and enjoy your days. Fully equipped kitchen with separate dining area. Outdoor wood fire pit and gas grill all enhance your outdoor experience. The Cabin on the Top of a Mountain

The views were amazing. The place gave a home feeling with perfect sleeping arrangements.

Beautiful Cabin!

We booked this cabin at the last minute to escape tropical storm Elsa and we are glad we did. We enjoyed the deck and looking out at the lake. The cabin was clean and spacious, great for a family.

Great Weekend Away

This cabin is in a great condition, clean and equipped with everything you need. There was plenty of space for the kids to play and the adults to relax. Our family had a memorable weekend and would revisit this cabin. Thanks for letting us stay!

Great Location

Wonderful week in the mountains. The open great room and massive deck with views were very welcoming. We needed help with a couple of small items and the response of the management team was great.

Wonderful Getaway

The location of the property was beautiful. The view off the balcony was tremendous. The description of the drive up is accurate. We did not have a 4x4 but we do have an interlocking differential which worked. But I am sure, 4x4 would be needed still during the winter or wet months. We enjoyed our stay would love to go back.

Great getaway cabin!

Wonderful cabin with room for everyone to spread out. The teens loved the hot tub and game room and the hubby loved the relaxation of the family room and tv options. We spent a lot of time on the upper deck just taking in the beautiful scenery of Nantahala Lake. We got lucky and watched the fall leaves change right before our eyes each day. Very peaceful. Cabin is well equipped with great non-stick pans. Quality bar ware as well. Would definitely recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway!

Tree top retreat

This property was clean and found as listed. It is not directly on Lake Nantahala and access requires driving a steep four wheel drive accessible road. A great cabin for a quiet retreat if you don’t plan on going anywhere after you arrive. Communication from the owner was prompt and thorough, however details are withheld until 48 hours before your arrival.

We do provide the address of the house with the rental agreement which is emailed shortly after booking so that you can start planning your trip, however; for the safety of the house and our guests we do not give out the lock box code information until 2 days before your arrival.

This house was very nice! I came up for a wedding and brought my adult children and grandchildren from Florida. Property is very clean and has all the extras such as a pack n play, a high chair, washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets. Theres even a small play room with toys for the kids!! My only complaint is that it is far from towns, but everything in the mountains are.. It has a firepit outfront and some wood is provided. The owner even brought sticks for roasting marshmallows over! The whole experience was amazing! 10 out of 10!

Post Christmas vacation

Beautiful cabin and view! We had 10 adults total. The youngsters had downstairs, my husband, father in law and I had the main level. On arrival the power was out…in the teens and chilly! Neighbors jumped in with a heater and Wi-Fi.. The caretakers arrived with extra blankets and candles within minutes of notifying them via Wi-Fi. Power came right back on and they set us up😄All amenities available. All we had to purchase/bring was our food. The hot tub was a nice bonus. Totally got to enjoy using our 4 wheel drives😄

The Dubraj Family Fall Getaway, 2021

Flying squirrel property in Nantahala has exceeded our expectations. Getting to the property was an adventurous experience. It was our first family getaway since this Covid-19 pandemic and let me tell you, the 9 of us were instantly impressed. The home/cabin was very clean, smell good, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. The décor gave the home a warm welcome and everyone felt comfortable. The mountain/lake views were spectacular, breathtaking and WOW at every glance. Fall foliage was an added bonus to the atmosphere. It is truly a place to unwind, relax, have family moments and be at peace. We will definitely visit in the future.
