HERE IS A SUMMARY OF THE FEATURES AND UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DESCRIBED ADORABLE 1-BEDROOM COTTAGE:

OPEN LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN COMBINATION:   The unit features an open living room and kitchen combination, creating a cozy and functional space. Bar stool seating is included, providing a casual dining option. A full-size pull-out bed in the living room adds extra sleeping capacity.

MAIN BEDROOM:   The main bedroom is equipped with a queen-size bed, offering a comfortable sleeping space.

SHARED WALK-IN SHOWER BATHROOM:   The primary bedroom shares a walk-in shower bathroom, providing convenience for guests.

APPLIANCES:   Convenience is enhanced with the inclusion of a dishwasher and a washer/dryer in the unit.

CHARCOAL GRILL:   guests can access a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking and entertainment.

CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING:   The unit is equipped with central air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable indoor environment.

We had a wonderful girls weekend while staying here. The property is very well kept and this specific condominium is very clean! We plan to bring our families back and enjoy the many amenities we didn't have time to enjoy.

The house was ok. We had plenty of room. The house is is need of renovation and some repairs, many noted by other guests in their reviews. I won't rehash those. I knew the property was near the entrance to the park, but didn't realize it was so far (about an hour on winding roads) up into the mountains to get to the popular parts of the park where the giant trees live. We spent two hours a day commuting to the core of the park. Another thing that impacted our stay was the heat. The house is in a lower, drier, and hotter climate than much of the park. The house has many singled-paned windows with no coverings, allowing a nice view of the foothills, and a lot of heat into the building. We noticed that the hosts have a smart thermostat that was set to override our setpoint at different times of the day. We stay three days and each day we returned to a hot house that required many hours to cool down. The third reason I wouldn't stay here again is that on the day of arrival we received a message from the hosts telling us to not use the WiFi to watch movies or play games. Given that we had no cell phone coverage, we were without alternatives. These kind of rules should be clear and upfront on the website. I travel a lot, but not much in California, so I don't know if this is typical for California, but it is certainly not typical outside of the state. For these reasons I can't justify giving this property more than 3 stars.

Cozy, clean, super close to the lake

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I had a great time at Sleppy Hollow, just right for the two of us. We enjoyed the pool and a short walk down to the lake. Biking to downtown South Haven is a scenic 1.5 miles.

Spring in South Haven

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sleepy Hollow is a very nice resort with a beautiful private Lake Michigan beach. The resort has many activities to keep everyone entertained. Our cottage was very comfortable and had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay. Cottage could have been cleaned more thoroughly as there were spiderwebs in a few places and bedroom needed a good dusting. Overall this is a very nice place to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We needed three bedrooms, so we rented 3A and 3C. The comments here are only with regards to 3A. They are connected similar to connecting hotel rooms. 3A was in good condition, clean and with relatively new appliances. The rooms are a little small, but that doesn't really matter, as you don't spend much time in them. The staff at Sleepy Hollow is wonderful and attentive, taking care of any questions/needs immediately. The grounds of the complex are great and the view of Lake Michigan is unbelievable, especially at sunset. The only complaint, which is a small one, is that the pool could be kept a little warmer. It is heated, but at the low end of the normal range. I would have preferred 2-3 degrees warmer. The best way to describe our view is that we already reserved a place for next summer.

Kicked back for a week in Unit 3A

Lovely family vacation

Great staff and accomodations

Only complaint this year was the beach area had a lot of debris and wasn't very well picked up. Could have been a weather thing from the previous weeks but didn't see any staff trying to clean it up. Jackie was great as always and we just love Sleepy Hollow!
