My second stay here. Itâs perfect for just me and my grandsons or friends. The only drawback is the lack of real lake access, but the amazing deck accommodations make up for most of that.
The host is always very responsive to any question or request. Thank you for sharing your home!
Loved this place. Jennifer made the stay very personal. From the welcome sign to the cookies etc. Bed was super comfortable normally I can't sleep in strange places but I did here. If i had any questions during the stay she was quick to answer. Would highly recommend this place and believe me I'm picky
Lakeside Landing proved perfect for our needs. The hosts have given much attention to detail. Spotlessly clean with quality bedding and comfy mattresses. The spacious deck with comfy patio furnishings adds living space to this compact cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with dining space at an island or out on the deck. Generously stocked with bottled water, coffee, ginger ale and a popcorn treat. We loved our stay and hope to return. The lake access is nearby-nothing for beach. But a floaty or a kayak on the lake would be lovely.
We had our annual mother/daughter trip at this cozy cottage on Derby Lake in Stanton. The cottage is nicely remodeled and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the email with all the things to do in the area, places to eat, grocery stores, etc and it had the links for more info which was very helpful. We also enjoyed the 2 mile walk around the lake. We got some much needed rain so only got to sit out on the deck once but got to enjoy the view. We had good food at Clifford Lake Inn Reataurant and sat out on the layered deck with beautiful view of the water. Also had a nice meal at Brickyard Grill in downtown Stanton. There was a nice listening device which had all kinds of sounds like nature, white noise, music, etc which my mom used every night. Anderson & Girls Orchard was a really cool barn that was made into a store and they used the entire space even the rafters to display merchandise. There was produce, baked goods, tea, coffee, clothes, toys, signs, books, etc. We found one of a kind items there and there was an ice cream store on the property. We did not go to the petting zoo but it looked well set up. There is not a beach and the public access walkway was not a large area but you could put kayaks, canoes, etc into the water from there. Overall we had a very nice and relaxing time and would stay again.
This property was easy to check into. The host was very accessible by text. Everything was clean and there were some nice touches - coffee & Vernor's in the fridge, shampoo, conditioner, & body wash in the shower. Make sure to bring your own toiletries and hairdryer. I didn't see those in the bathroom. Thank you for a great stay!
This cabin is very cute, but does not have good lake access. It is lacking in the essentials for cooking. No measuring spoons. No big serving spoons, had 5 hangers in the whole cottage. Needs dresser in main bedroom to put clothes in. All there is is a nightstand in both rooms. The bathroom toliet and sink is very short. If you are tall you will not like it.
The owner and her parents are very quick to respond.
I think with a few adjustments and additions to the cottage essentials this would be a great place to stay.
Cute place to stay. Furnishings all very nice and maintained. Lighting is very bright and could use dimmer switches for evenings. Also, this place is lake ACCESS so if you are looking for lakefront this is not it. Access is close by though. Would definitely stay here again.
Small, cozy, yet 2 private bedrooms! The full bed was comfortable! Best sleep I had in a while! The treats you left were very much appreciated! Loved it!
Cozy, clean cabin. We very much enjoyed our stay- it was warm and pretty. We had some trouble finding the foot bridge with the directions in the snow and were hoping for more of a walking path rather than following the roads, but it was a very nice stay overall. Great place if you want the lake!!
This was a cozy cabin, very sweet. Everything we needed was there, the rustic furniture was comfy and attractive. Easy check in and out. Highly recommend it!
We enjoyed our time in Stanton, and we really appreciated how well-stocked the house was. The views of the lake were good from the patio. There is another home between the cottage and the lake.
This rental has amazing views with a beautiful paths for walking. There is a park down the road for kiddos to play at and this place comfortably for four of us. We appreciated the goodies already stocked for us when we arrived and the ability to use the vacuum and broom (just like at home) to try to keep the grass clippings out of the house. We enjoyed rainy days, perfect skyâs and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend enjoying as much time on the deck as possible!
