Restless Farms- A Lovely House on an Acre of land with Mountain Views
Welcome to Restless Farms! Nestled in the outskirts of Lafayette, Colorado our house combines modern amenities with a homesteading feel. My wife and I are into having an active, healthy lifestyle that enjoys the niceties and luxuries of our modern living and we try to have a home that reflects this.
We call our house "Restless Farm" because it is a nickname that a friend bestowed on us as we never sit still! Between trying to stay connected with our food source by working in our garden, running/biking in our neighborhood, climbing at local world-class areas, skiing big mountains, tearing up the local skate park with our kids, and fishing the many fisheries in the area, we are always on the go.
When it's happy hour time or want to spend an evening "out on the town" we are only 5 minutes from Downtown Lafayette, 10 minutes from Downtown Louisville, 20 minutes from Downtown Boulder and 30 minutes to Denver. Each community brings its own flare, the thing they all have in common are excellent restaurants, shops, and breweries. We feel we are creating our own little piece of magic here in Lafayette and we'd like to share it with you.
We have a bi-level house with 3 bedrooms downstairs. The master bedroom and two kid's rooms are downstairs with two full bathrooms. The master and kid's rooms have queen size beds. There are three bathrooms, one upstairs and two downstairs. The two downstairs bathrooms have showers. The upstairs bathroom is a very convenient 1/2 bath. This is our personal house so you will see family photographs and personal items.
The hosts had excellent communication with us the entire stay. Their beautiful home had everything we could ever need for the eight nights we were there. The hot tub and view of the Colorado sky was serene and relaxing. The secluded cul-de-sac and rural setting were better than any hotel. Very private. Very quiet. Very nice. Thank you!
There are some unique aspects to the property - the view, the chickens, and the kids loved the backyard. The ownersâ property fills up most of the space, though, making this a bit uncomfortable for a vacation respite. Location was surprisingly farther than expected from Denver and Boulder.
We are teachers in the Denver and Boulder area and have found a little slice of heaven with this property as we have a country location but are close to many amenities and various towns such as Boulder, Denver, and Louisville. As teachers, we travel in the summer and want to share our property with other families.
We love our neighborhood because it is slightly off the beaten path, but close to everything you need. We also have stunning views of the mountains and views of horses running out our kitchen window.
Our property has space to breathe and enjoy a cocktail or a coffee on one of the two porch areas, we also just put in an above-ground pool and hot tub for relaxing after a long day. We have stunning views from most of the house of the front range mountains and the continental divide. Our sunsets are picture worthy and the cul-de-sac provides a quiet place for kids to play.
