Youâll know that you have rented a historic colonial home when you pass through huge, antique front doors framed by 3 foot-thick adobe walls. Lounge on the shallow, submerged bench seats in the pool or in the hammocks hanging between 12 foot wooden c

Had a wonderful, relaxing stay! Beautiful property putting you in touch with nature. Our favorite was watching the howler monkeys in the trees. A perfect location to chill poolside as well as travel to other nearby sites and the city. I'd recommend a 4x4 vehicle for driving. Javier and Carmen were excellent care takers. I especially appreciate Joe taking the time to check-in on us.
The property and house both exceeded my expectations. What a beautiful and peaceful place. I stayed in the upstairs room, what a wonderful way to wake up! Windows from floor to ceiling.
The property is very well kept. Both inside and out. And the house has a great open feel, even better than the photos show.
This was our dream house built from scratch with local materials on one of the tallest hills overlooking the Asese Peninsula and Lake Cocibolca. It was severely deforested cattle grazing that we reforested with over 15,000 fruit, precious timber, medicinal plants... 5 years after reforestation the biodiversity bounced back and we have a troop of 40+ howler monkey, several bird species never described for the area, iguanas and native species all of whihc roam the property and surrounding area freely. Now we support and environmental education project in the local school (see pics).
