With ski, mountain, and golf course views visible from this two-story townhouse, the excitement of South Fork beckons you from almost every room. Prepare anything from full-course dinners to movie night popcorn in the well-equipped, full kitchen complete with an island and counter seating for three. Enjoy meals together at the nearby table for up to six guests, and then relax in front of the gas fireplace in the cozy, sunlit living area illuminated by large windows. This home also includes a furnished patio with a private gas grill for summertime cookouts.

What's nearby:
This charming townhouse sits within walking distance of the Rio Grande River - a perfect spot for trout! Launch a raft and take a gentle float on the river's headwaters, or seek out a more challenging water adventure among the Class II and Class III rapids. Visiting golfers are just a half-mile from the Rio Grande Club & Resort. Only two miles away is downtown South Fork for excellent restaurants, convenience stores, a visitor center, and much more. And in winter, the Wolf Creek Ski Area is only 20 miles away for those who want to hit the slopes.

Artist Retreat was awesome!

Incredible views, very comfortable furniture, lots of room, good sized bathrooms and a great well appointed kitchen! It is a quick easy drive to Wolf Creek ski area but would be awesome in the summer positioned on the golf course. Will certainly come back and stay here again!

South Fork Condo

The property was wonderful. It is spacious and well supplied. The condo was comfortable worked well for our family to relax and connect. Check in and check out was quick and easy. It is located in a small neighborhood right on the golf course. The deck on the back was a very nice space to relax.

Stylish, spacious condo

The condo was just what we needed for our stay in Southfork. The condo is spacious, comfortable, and has everything you need! We love that it was dog-friendly, without the outrageous pet fees. Also, it was very easy to get to and set in a beautiful environment with big windows. The fireplace and recliners are warm and cozy. Highly recommend!

The only draw back was it was hot and the little ceiling fans did nothing and we were not allowed to open the windows upstairs. I would recommend they get another fan for the other bedrooms it was very hot sleeping!

Inflexible management

There was a blizzard in South Fork and the highway was closed down, but Vacasa would not let me cancel the reservation. I was very disappointed that the management was so inflexible. We were not able to use the house at all. They even refused to refund the cleaning fee!

Great Resort But Owner needs to give attention to townhome

We Stayed last year and everything was well stocked as far as dishes, silverware and other necessities like TP. This year not so much, the owner needs to go out and spend a little bit of money like a hundred dollars and buy new skillets and utensils, the current ones actually have rust on them they should be thrown in the trash. The silverware is a hodge podge of old stuff trown together, I think we had 5 spoons 2 very large ones 5 mis matched forks 2 reg knives. As for dishes we had 5 dinner plates and 4 or five saucers and 6 bowls. We did have plenty of glasses and an assortment of steak knives. Obviously with 4 adults we were washing dishes after every meal forget the dishwasher. The owners also need to perform some maintenance on their town home ceiling fan in master needs to be fixed and shutter in master is broken, there are several things that need attention in the townhome. We had to go to store and pick up TP the 3rd day.The other couple we invited to stay with us for a week also couldn't believe the way the owners had stocked the kitchen utensils and the other things. Quite honestly it was a lot more together the first time we rented it. It seems like the owners are not paying an attention to the place, just collecting rent on the place.We would probably rent another unit next time, we had a great experiance with the manager from vacasa and would ask for her help.

Great location for skiing Wolf Creek

South Fork is a small town, but it has such quicker access to Wolf Creek. These townhomes/condos are a great place to stay. Well maintained and perfect for our family trip. We rented 2 places close to each other and it made the vacation so much fun! We will be back.

Great family retreat

We loved the spaciousness and openness of the house. We loved that there were three bathrooms we loved it. There was a garage. We love that it was not too far from the main area of the town and that is was very close as we could possibly get to the ski resort. we love that there was washer and dryer. We loved it out. There was huge access to the back area so our dog could go run around. We love that we could come home in the evenings from skiing and relax and cook and enjoy each other’s company. Thank you so much for making this place available for us to enjoy.

Very Nice Property but Communication Lacking

I give the property 5 stars but my overall experience 3 stars. We looked everyplace but there was no printed binder or sheets of information about the property, resort or surrounding area in the unit. Things that would have been helpful to know -1) For fishing on the property you need to first go to the club house of the resort which is across the road and up the hill (not visible from the unit) and request an ID badge. You have to have this ID badge on you when fishing on the property. 2) A general basic map of the resort showing where the clubhouse is, there is a fishing lodge building that looks like somebody's house but you can drive to the fishing lodge and park there which would have been nice to know also, and what are the boundaries of the resort's fishing property. 3) While the access code to the unit is in multiple communications from the property manager (Vacasa), only once did I see the door code to the building that houses the dumpster where you need to take your trash before leaving. You'll receive multiple texts and emails from Vacasa after booking, some are just ads. We were at the unit and I could not find the communication about the trash door code on my phone - would have been nice to simply have it written down in an information package within the unit. Yes I tried calling and emailing Vacasa but to no avail while we were there. The email I sent at 7:20 am the day of our 10 am checkout was acknowledged at 10:20 the day after we left. Some old people still like to read and refer to a printed page rather than endless scrolling through their phone looking for that one message that has that one piece of info they need. Thanks to the assistant golf course greens keeper who I could ask my questions to as he was out working first thing each morning. Whoever is the owner of the unit - they should not be relying on Vacasa to control all the communication about the unit. They are a large national company and while one of the phone numbers I was given had a local area code I was usually in a phone sequence of press 1, press 2, leave a message - all our representatives are busy helping other customers. Also thanks to Val at the resort clubhouse for taking the time to help me get a fishing ID badge and letting me know more about the clubhouse, restaurant and bar facilities. The people in the resort business office were very nice and helpful. It's an amazing resort property.

Beautiful place and art!

We had a wonderful time! The condo has everything you need and the view is lovely. We have stayed in many vrbos and have never seen so much beautiful Native American art! We brought our 2 dogs and they too were very comfortable and really enjoyed all the deer they saw on walks. We hope to return!

First...Having 2 small children with us I'm always super aware of cleanliness - especially in the corners and the details. I was so comfortable here and was super impressed with the cleanliness. Second...the decor, furniture and set up were all FANTASTIC! Nice furnishings, great space - bigger than it looked online. Super close to everything in town, the country club and even nice walking trails along the golf course. Totally loved our stay!
