Inviting, bright, gorgeous space right on the Trans Canada Trail, overlooking Balsam Bay . Year round home where quality meets function. Accents of stone and cedar, in and out, make this a perfect place to relax and enjoy life. Over 500 sq. ft of deck, a private patio and huge yard for outdoor living. Beaches, bike and walking paths through the forest or along the lake are close by. Grand Beach Provincial Park and amenities are a 7 minute drive away.
Winter guests are close to ice fishing, snowmobile trails and cross country ski trails. Parking on site.

Wake up to sound of birdsong. Watch the pelicans fly overhead. Spot the eagles lazily circling in the sky. Swim or enjoy the sun at the nearby beach. Take a walk or bike ride on the many paths in the area. Cook supper on the patio BBQ and eat outside. Gather round the bonfire in the backyard fire pit. Lots of space to relax inside in the evenings or on a rainy day.
Winter guests can enjoy a wood burning fireplace, view incredible sunsets from the warmth of indoors, and put on a winter BBQ on a nice winter day.

Balsam Bay rental from Glenda

This property was beautiful and spacious. Every person that came out to stay during my rental week were very impressed and comfortable. Glenda answered all of my questions both before and during the rental very promptly. She was a lovely and welcoming lady. I'd recommend this property to anyone. A great experience. Thanks Glenda

Wonderful family vacation

I, my son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren had a fabulous week at the cabin. It is beautiful on the outside with large decks and lovely flower gardens. The inside is very roomy with a well stocked kitchen, washer and dryer and 3 bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The host, Glenda, was very accommodating to our needs. A bonus is that the cabin is pet friendly and my grandchildren were delighted they could bring their cat along. There was plenty to do in the vicinity of the cabin and Grand Marais and Grand Beach are only minutes away by car. I highly recommend this cabin for a family stay.

Beautiful cabin

My husband and I shared some wonderful family time with our daughters and their husbands and our grandchild. There was lots of room for all of us. The kitchen is large and fully stocked. We had a great time.

Wonderful Stay!

We really enjoyed the cabin and location. It was very close to Grand Beach and other areas near by. The cabin was as pictured and very clean and well supplied. The neighbours were friendly and it was located in a very nice area. Our host met us at the cabin and took us through it, and also stopped by as we checked out. She was great! We would definitely stay here again.

Cottage was clean and very well supplied with everything you need. Photos and descriptions are very accurate. Short walk to a few local beaches /lake access points and about 10 minute drive to Grand Beach . Glenda was a great host and was quick to reply to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Manitoba getaway

Good location-short drive to numerous beaches. Spacious accommodation inside and out. Beautiful flower garden and deck planters. Well stocked kitchen, lots of storage and use of washer and dryer a bonus. Host Glenda is very responsive to questions and most helpful.

Enjoyable Stay with the Family

I love people and animals, walking and working in the forest and making birch syrup. Although I travel for business my favourite place is home. This area is special to me. I grew up here, live, work and have family here. It is our pleasure to share this wonderful place with you!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The house is beautiful, bright and comfortable. It is close to the lake. You can hear the waves, feel the breezes as they bring the lovely fragrance of the water along with it. There are many decks. One just moves around the house as you seek sun or shade. We enjoyed these things for many years. We know you will too.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We loved the fireplace, the cedar ceiling and the view of the lake. We renovated and added on to the cottage to showcase all of those things. Beautiful cedar decks, lots of windows, stone on the front, custom cabinets and finishings. And we finished it all up with cedar flower boxes. Enjoy the details as you relax with beauty around you - inside and outside.
