Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback. We’re very sorry your stay fell short of expectations and — most importantly — that you encountered a bear at the property. Guest safety is a top priority. We apologize we didn’t follow up as promised about the trash pickup. We will investigate why the crew didn’t show and reinforce our procedures. We will also discuss bear-proof trash receptacles with the owner and local management and update our guest instructions to make it very clear not to leave trash on decks. Maintenance and housekeeping will be scheduled to inspect and address every item you listed: the cabinet above the refrigerator, the slanted microwave, loose faucet, peeling/loose kitchen flooring, dim lighting and bulb replacements, the firm mattress on the main-level queen, the unstable ceiling fan, broken porch swing slats, the loft shower leak, and any other safety or cleanliness issues. We will also confirm the hot tub situation and whether it is private or shared, correct the listing photos and description (couch vs. loveseat, view, and hot tub shown), and verify the listing’s appliance/amenity information (washer/dryer, ice maker). Thank you again for the thorough report — your comments are helping us make immediate repairs and improve our guest information. We regret this stay wasn’t a better experience.
