Location, location, location

Loved the location, minutes away from the beach. The place was very clean and the owners were very responsive.

Clean cute flat near the beach

We stayed one night and it was convenient place to stay. Very clean and close to the beach. Short walk from dining and shopping. Very quiet neighborhood..

Decent but Disappointed

The property itself was not a problem, it was accurate to the picture displayed. Most of our disappointment came from communication with the hosts. Prior to booking the property, I messaged the hosts to ask if there could be any accommodation since our flight landed at 12am and check in was at 3pm. I was told by the host that no accommodations could be made other than booking the day in advance rather than the day we land. However, when I attempted to book the advanced day, the day was already booked. After booking, we discovered that there was a hurricane, hurricane Ernesto, that left Puerto Rico with flooding and no electricity. I then messaged to the hosts to cancel the trip due to safety concerns. I was denied a cancellation refund due to the fact that the hurricane barely impacted the property and they had backup generators and water tanks. I then asked if we could reschedule since they were not willing to refund us. They replied with “if something opens up we could let you know”. At this point my friend and I felt pressured to go on the trip or our money would be a waste. After consulting with my friend, we decided we’d wait the 15 hours since it was too late to book somewhere else due to age restrictions (we are not 21) and not receiving a refund. Luckily we were safe and the locals were kind to us but it was a extremely dangerous situation. We were walking around Puerto Rico with our luggage for 13 hours. A lot more happened but the character limited has maxed.

Overall a nice property

Overall not a bad property. It was clean and well kept. It was within walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. The downsides: zero water pressure and at times no hot water in the shower. The bed was super uncomfortable. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was annoyingly loud. We couldn’t even use it at night when we were trying to sleep. The wifi was spotty at best.

Dan It would have been nice to hear about your concerns the day you checked in. We could have dealt with the noise and wifi or even moved you to another unit. You would have spent way more to sleep in 2 or 3 star hotel which doesn't compare to our place. Your review is not accurate Tks

Location is everything!

This unit is within an amazing location if you are looking to be close to the airport and within a short walk or car ride to all the action in Condado / Old San Juan. Safety definite check since it is a gated community. Beach access check 1 block away, on the beach within a minute. Local restaurants and bars just steps away as well. The room was very clean, and everything you need is right at your fingertips. Furniture was contemporary and WI-FI is probably faster than the speeds we get on the mainland. We will be returning again and the owners Hector and Kathleen were awesome. We may stay within a bigger unit next time and bring the the entire family!
