Waterfall Chalet was new to VRBO (Jan 2021) but has an excellent rental history since we purchased it in 2019 and we then added it to vrbo in 2021.

The house was big enough for both families, and the large property was perfect for them to play and explore. We also had skiing lined up at Jack Frost and the location....2 miles down the road, was really convenient (which is important when you have small kids!). We usually don't like big crowds, especially in this environment, so this was a perfect holiday escape. Owners were super attentive to our questions and needs, so honestly could not have asked for more, other than some more snow! Will definitely stay here again."

Nestled on 8 private acres, you are surrounded by nature for walking, biking, hiking, fishing , white water rafting, golf, skiing, paintball, zip lining and so much more!
Waterfall Chalet sits on 8 private acres in the Poconos just 2 miles from Lake Harmony, Francis E Walter Reservoir and Jack Frost ski mountain. You will enjoy relaxing on our deck overlooking the stream! Watch and hear the stream from the deck. Bring your bicycles as the Lehigh Gorge State Park is close - ride 26 miles from end to end (White Haven to Jim Thorpe). Enjoy a picnic lunch, views of the river and many waterfalls along the way!
The cabin also has a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, a Pool Table and Bar in our finished basement and an outdoor fire pit, a gazebo by the water, lawns for games and a charcoal grill! And best of all - No Neighbors!
Most of the rental houses in the Poconos are located in housing developments controlled by Homeowner Association. Our cabin is NOT in a development! We have no neighbors worried about you, ready to report you. You will feel secluded in the woods, but you are also just a short drive from town for all the things you might need.
Activities:
Lehigh River Gorge State Park - it's perfect for walking, biking, fishing, tubing, and rafting. The park contains 4,548 acres of land and about 30 miles of the Lehigh River. Recreational opportunities include: hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and whitewater boating. About 26 miles of abandoned railroad grade follow the river and are available to hiking and biking and provide access for hunting and fishing. Whitewater rafting is a major attraction of the park. This section of the Lehigh River is Class III whitewater and is popular for rafting, kayaking and canoeing.
Hickory Run State Park: The 15,500-acre Hickory Run State Park, has over 40 miles of hiking trails, three state park natural areas and miles of trout streams. You must visit Boulder Field, a striking boulder-strewn area which formed 15,000 years ago! It is a National Natural Landmark.
We recommend our guests plan a day of swimming at their lake. It has a sand beach and concession areas, bathrooms and bar-b-q areas. It is open from late-May to mid-September.
Fishing:
Francis E Walter Reservoir - stocked for trout fishing, with a variety of other native fish. Motor boats (1 hp max) allowed, also great if you have kayaks and inner tubes!
The Lehigh River has warm-water game fish, trout and panfish. You can walk to the river from the house! Francis E. Walter Dam, just above White Haven, provides boating and angling for trout and warm-water game fish. All local State Parks have lakes & streams for fishing.

We have other Poconos Log Cabin rental properties in the area (Fat Rabbit #3015417 and River Lodge #4743836 and Valhalla) and had driven passed this beautiful stream property for years, noticing the stream but unable to see the house from the road. One day we stopped at a local realtor for something else and he wanted to show us a property soon to be listed - and it was this property that we had always admired! Long story short we fell in love with the property and bought it in Nov 2019 and prepared it for rental. It rented throughout 2020 with excellent reviews, making us so happy that we can share this amazing property with people visiting the Poconos!
