Spacious 4-bedroom home on 5 acre farm near Minnewaska State Park

A stone’s throw from the Hudson valley wine trail and state parks, this modern A Frame is set on a 5 acre former horse farm, providing privacy without seclusion. 2 hrs from NYC, it’s perfect for weekend trips, holidays, and longer remote work getaways.

An ideal day here can include a morning coffee on the wraparound deck, working remotely with an amazing pastoral view, and ending the night by roasting marshmallows under the stars and unwinding in the clawfoot tub

Outside - enjoy some country life with horse stables, lawn games, a grill, fire pit, and plenty of space to run around. The giant wraparound deck is perfect for coffee in the morning and yoga at sunset.

Inside, an open, sundrenched living area provides a cozy and spacious environment for relaxing, cooking, and enjoying the view as deer graze across the field. Smart TV with Hulu/Netflix included + vibey electric heater provide extra warmth and entertainment to gather around by night.

The basement provides entertainment for all ages - equipped with a wall sized projector, ping pong table, and vintage arcade games. It also includes a private bedroom with private bathroom/shower.

The master suite occupies the entire loft, creating a sense of privacy and luxury with French doors that lead to a queen bed, beautiful clawfoot bathtub and private terrace.

Plenty of work desks and spaces to accommodate remote workers with new fast wifi! (as of Sept 2025)

It was a smooth communication with the host started from the beginning. We love the space and chose it to host a memorial of a family member that just passed. The house is in a great design for gathering. The backyard and porch are in a perfect looking out to the green space/ woods. Morning and afternoon lights were perfectly aligned.

It was pretty good. Nice open space. A little dark indoors at nighttime and a few things were a little unclean (pots, dishes, utensils), and there were quite a bit of ladybugs upstairs in the master bedroom, but we kind of just dealt with it. The homeowner gave us some direction on how to clean the ladybugs up with a vacuum cleaner and on how to deal with the well water smell. Overall, it was good.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay on the farm! The proximity near our destinations could not be beat and we appreciated how it is tucked away in this peaceful neighborhood. Also the host left great instructions for checking in and out with ease. He responded to any correspondence that was sent.We did have some concerns. First the listing advertised an additional space with 3 twin beds. This space was nonexistent, which majorly disappointed us because we were counting on that for the group that came with us. That forced some to unexpectedly share a room. Also, there was an issue with the water pressure which was so low, it made taking showers difficult. There were some toys available, however they needed a thorough cleaning and trash bins had not been emptied so were With some adjustments, we would be willing to stay again because it allowed us to bond as a group!! Something we couldn't do if we were at a hotel. We hope that these updates are made so we could possibly stay in the future!!

Peaceful stay

We enjoyed a calm weekend near wine country. The house was comfy and had what we needed for a simple vacation. Luckily the weather cooperated and we were comfortable with open windows and fans on. It may have been a bit stuffy if we were there later in the spring or in the summer. I’m sure it’s a cozy spot in the winter too!!

Large, open spaces and huge windows. It had snowed, so the porch was icy. However, my daughter and I easily found the shovels and cleared the porch and steps before the grandkids arrived.The only downside was that the previous tenants had broken the pellet stove.I would stay there again.

Amazing overall experience

We were originally just looking for a house that was close to angry orchard for a quick couples trip. But after being there for a couple of hours we realized that this home was going to be the bright spot for the weekend. We ended up enjoying the outdoors for the first night and only ended up staying at the orchard for a couple hours and just wanted to get back to the hours and enjoy the outdoors. I highly recommend this home to any family or group of friends looking for an amazing home for the weekend. I hope to be back here next year and the home was the bright spot of our weekend.

Only one night

Went with wife and mom in law. Other friends could not come, so we had the whole house to ourselves. Breakfast overlooking deers also having breakfast was the topic of conversation at the table.Main BR has a window to the night sky, not big, but enough to keep my wie amazed. Only used main level, and upper level. Did not have to use the area down stairs. I would stay again with a bigger group. It has the potential to a memorable occasion. Thanks a lot !

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

1 star is being too kind. We stayed here last week and upon arrival we noticed the place was INFESTED with bugs. All over the ceilings and floors in every room. We contacted the owner and he acknowledged the bugs and said to use a dust buster to vacuum up the bugs. Absolutely ridiculous. The sheets had stains, corners of the house had cob webs. It had a very musky stench and the water smelled really bad! Too much Sulphur. Showering was not enjoyable. We immediately checked out the following day as my guests refused to stay in this house. The owner told us to contact support for a refund and when they called him, he denied a refund. Total scam artist. Said he offered to come and vacuum the bugs as a solution which is why he denied a partial refund. We have text messages and emails proving all of this. VRBO refused to acknowledge the issue and did not provide further support to receive a partial refund. Very disappointing. DO NOT STAY HERE. You will regret it.

Lovely home and property

Pro’s: Lots! Definitely recommend this house. It was inviting and comfy. The yard was amazing. Kids loved running around and kicking balls around the property. The game area downstairs was quite entertaining for the kids. :) Neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The owners were very quick to respond to our needs and concerns. Cons: Basically, it was the water. It took getting used to because it smelled like sulphur. But it was fine and we could get clean. Haha

Family get away

Property was spacious and clean. We truly felt like we were the only ones around. We had access to a grill and fire pit both were ready to go for us. We had A very hot week which it was a relief to come back to the property and get cooled off with the air conditioning. Our only complaint was the lower shower the water pressure was terrible so we all basically ended up using the shower on the main floor. Also we had access to air mattresses but was unable to locate an air pump. Overall was a great country get away.

A quiet place

This place was perfect for our group. It was a little rough around the edges, but sufficiently clean. a few problems & personal gripes though...They do need clearer instructions for the downstairs electronics, and a supply of new batteries for the controllers down there. We were unable to use the gaming systems or the projection tv because the controllers were dead and the instructions lacking. The downstairs bed frame actually collapsed on our friends in the middle of the 1st night due to loose screws on the frame. That was an easy fix the next day with my multitool, but an alarming suprise for our friends that night. The light/fan switches were very confusing on the main floor, they need labeled. Lack of a exhaust fan in the main floor bathroom was very inconvenient, especially with the microfiber towels provided, we couldn't dry off very easily. But overall, a very pleasant house and a relaxing stay. Deer in the field every night, we enjoyed the deck for morning coffee and evening IPA's. If the size of our group permits, we would definately stay again. Close to the world headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses at Warwick. Patterson & Wallkill are in close proximity also for the amazing tours. We enjoyed exploring several of the small town shops and eateries in the area, the ice cream at the Creamery on the mountain top was awesome!

We've always loved coming to New Paltz and Beacon for the last 15 years, so when we were ready to leave the city and buy our first house, we saw this one and instantly fell in love.

It's a truly special place and we're so grateful that we've been able to host others for their special days - whether it's hosting holidays, weddings, engagements, family reunions, bachelor/ette parties, hiking trips, or just a weekend away from the city.
