Hill house 2 bedroom, 2 bath house. Walk to downtown Hill City, SD
Two bedroom, 2 bath, 2 story house. Master bedroom on the main and on the lower floor with queen beds. Queen sleeper sofa on the lower floor plus a roll away bed. Sleeps 7. Completely renovated with all new appliances, furniture and fixtures. Hardwood floors thru out with central heat and AC. Too many upgrades to describe. Completely furnished. Plenty of parking for trailers. Walk to all stores and restaurants in Hill City.
Very clean, perfect for 2 couples with the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and baths and living areas. Ken was super helpful and came over to help us with parking when we checked in. We had 2 big rigs with trailers and were able to park in front of the home on the quiet, safe street. Would stay here again.
We had a nice stay at this house during the Sturgis Rally, they were plenty of room for our trailer and motorcycles. It was comfortable and close to downtown Hill City. Hearing the 1880 train blow its horn was delightful. The house was very clean and fully stocked. The view from the deck and windows were serene and beautiful, the buck, dear & 2 fawns were a bonus. Ken was quick to respond to our request to stay at the home in Hill City. It was a delight when he dropped by to say hi and asked if there were any issues or if we needed anything. We will definitely be back to stay in the future if not at this house than one of his other homes in Hill City or should I say âHeart of the Hillsâ
We loved the location of this property. It was super convenient to all the area has to offer and only minutes from town. Plus, the house is decorated well and was super clean. We also enjoyed watching the deer meander through the neighborhood each day. The host is very friendly, easy to communicate with, and provided good information about what to do in the area. Great property and host!
Very clean updated home in great location on side street. Saw deer a couple mornings. Beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked to cook at home along with propane grill. Only complaint was upper level of home was difficult to cool during hot afternoons. Opening windows were nice as evenings cooled off some but could use screens on windows, had access to a couple smaller fans for upper level. Ken was very friendly, met us on our first evening to give recommendations, even delivered a fire pit upon request.
Location was perfect. Very clean and beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. Owner was very quick to respond and very nice. Area was beautiful and food was good. Best vacation so far.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hill House! Very clean, great location. We needed to change our dates and Ken was quick to assist and answer any questions we had. Would stay again!
We were in the Black Hills for State Cross Country. The house was an easy 30 minutes from Rapid City. Perfect place for our family. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Lovely place to spend some quality time with family and enjoy the outdoors.
Great property! Fully stocked with everything you need in the bathrooms and kitchen. Conveniently located - walking distance to downtown Hill City and the George Mickelson Trail. Quiet neighborhood with little traffic. Easy checkin and checkout process. Overall great experience!
Enjoyed our stay overall. Property was well stocked with supplies and linens. Beds were comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed the beautiful woods and deer right behind the property. Parking space is much smaller and shallower than it appeared in listing. But the property owner directed us to another rental to park ATV trailers. Outside stairs are a bit treacherous as the pavers are uneven and some loose. Inside spiral stairs are very narrow so access to upstairs would be difficult for anyone with a mobility issue. Living room furniture, both up and down, is not in great condition (stained and a broken couch).
The location of this property was great for all the big attractions we wanted to see in the area (Mount Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Black Elk Peak, Custer State Park, Needles Highway). Downtown Hill City is not that far & is approximately a 15-20 minute walk or under a 5 minute drive. It was our first time in Hill City and we enjoyed the Lost Cabin Brew Co./Beer Garden, the food at Lemon Grass & the pizza from Exxon (great service). Krullâs Market is close for groceries. The couches & chairs could use upgrades, that wouldâve made the stay more comfortable. The outside yard was really nice & the scenery was great. We saw a family of deer in the backyard & across the road.
Overall, a great location for the 1880 Train and Mickelson Trail or anywhere else you'd adventure in the Black Hills. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and was easy to find. There was plenty of room and the kitchen was well stock with the essentials. There is a spiral staircase from the upstairs to the lower level, so use care utilizing it and watch children closely to prevent slipping. It would also be difficult for an elderly person to navigate.
