Brand new custom construction timber frame cabin located near Spring Canyon. Enjoy peaceful mornings and quiet nights on the front porch observing wildlife, mature black hills pine trees, and crisp air off the canyon. Central location to all Black Hills attractions and Rapid City!

The Buffalo Cabin nestled in a serene area conveniently located close to Rapid City and popular local attractions. The cabin is 10 minutes from downtown Rapid City, 15 minutes from Mount Rushmore, and 40 min from Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and the northern hills attractions. There is an abundance of wildlife that roam the area to include Big Horn Sheep, Wild Turkeys, and Deer. There truly is no place like Spring Canyon in the Black Hills that offers the conveniences of town a short distance away!

The Rustic Cabin is new construction available Summer/Fall of 2022! The cabin is 1200 Sq Ft. and built with local Black Hills Timbers, wood flooring, and granite counter tops. The cabin has a covered front porch great for a morning cup of java and walk out patio with a fire pit and grill.

The Buffalo Cabin is modern with a rustic flare! There will be nothing like it in the Black Hills! Book Today!

Close to so many attractions

Great place to stay it was close to a lot of attractions as well as Rapid City. The beds were also very comfortable. We’ll definitely book this place again

Beautiful nature get-away with the comforts of town

This beautiful property is located in a developed area but with an out-in-nature placement. The big windows offer views of the landscape in all directions. Very easy check-in and even easier check-out procedures make this stay a gem.

Lovely getaway

This was truly a lovely home. Very spacious, clean and well appointed. Loved all the windows and natural light in the house. I was extremely impressed with the extras available for use, outdoor grill, outdoor patio propane fire pit - I haven’t experienced those amenities in other vacation rentals before. The proximity to Rapid City and all of its surrounding attractions was perfect. We felt very much at home and Buffalo Cabin was extremely relaxing for us.

The Buffalo Cabin is Awesome!

This cabin offered privacy and seclusion for our family while being close to both Rapid City, the Black Hills, and the Badlands. The cabin was extremely well stocked, clean, and beautiful! We didn’t want to leave!

Amazing Family Vacation

We absolutely loved this cabin! Everything was beautiful - so well appointed and thought out. It didn’t bother us that there was one bathroom. The heated floor was great! Nice big kitchen and living room with ample seating. Coming back from touristing to play the family games at the cabin (Jenga, Old Maid, Go Fish) while watching for deer was one of our favorite parts! They really thought of everything here. WONDERFUL.

Amazing. Can't say enough about the cabin. Everything you could need for your stay, nice and quiet, clean, upscale ammenities. Enjoyed watching the neighbors horse. A wonderful stay. Nice to have internet and smart tv. Lots of books to read during your stay. This will be the vrbo/airbnb we compare others to.

Very impressive top to bottom. Great location for our family get away to the Black Hills. The home is decorated with a smart and thoughtful touch. This is probably one of our family favorite rentals.

Black Hills Vacation

We had a really good time visiting all the sites around the Black Hills. It was nice to come "home" to a beautiful cabin after a long day and relax. I highly recommend having a base camp to come back to with plenty of room for the entire family. Great location, center of everything. This cabin is top notch.

Exceptional House in the Heart of Nature

We loved this VRBO! The space was beautiful with beautifully detailed touches. The house had everything we needed and more! We especially loved seeing deer visit every night at dusk and we were memorized by the horses out back as we watched the sunset!

Black Hills Vacation

We absolutely loved this cabin! Centrally located to all of the activities on our list. The cabin was roomy enough for our family of 5 and the kitchen fully stocked with all of the housewares to cook meals. We didn’t want to leave!!! Thank you, the cabin was the icing and cherry on the cake!!!

Great base camp to explore

We had an amazing stay at this clean and well stocked cabin! The location is private but convenient to make day trips to all the Black Hills activities. We hiked, swam and explored everyday, and we were happy to come back to this comfortable cabin each night. We loved that we could take our dogs with us on all our adventures. Communication with Jessica was fast and friendly. We’ve already recommended this property to our friends!

Absolutely amazing!

This home is amazing! It is close to so many places, national parks, monuments, and attractions. We saw so much and it was nice to “come home” here. Everything you need is here. We cooked and grilled nearly everyday. We saw deer, turkey, and horses everyday. I cannot say enough good about this home. We absolutely loved it!!

Quiet space

Property was nice and quiet. It is located right on a road that is winding, so be careful with children and pets. Home has one bath, so large numbers may have issues with showering. We were two, so no issues for us. Overall the home is quite lovely.

Great Black Hills Property

This is a great Black Hills cabin, in the Hills but close to Rapid as well. Great location accessible to any part of the Black Hills. In 4 short days, we ranged from Spearfish, Deadwood, Deerfield Lake, Custer and the Wyoming border, with two trips to Custer State Park mingled in. The cabin is new, beautiful, well appointed and furnished. The owner/manager was responsive and accommodating, even offering to find garage space for our vehicle when severe weather threatened. Property rules were basic common sense and not obnoxious, as some properties can be.

wonder week at buffalo cabin

What a wonderful week! I found this property searching in the Rapid City area so that we'd have a central location for our travels. It was excellent. The processes of reservation, communication, access and response to a couple issues as well as the house itself were all stellar. Jessica communicated well with us, esp as it related to getting internet and TVs working. Thank you so much. The house itself is so comfortable, well appointed and supplied with most everything you need for an extended stay. Just bring your food. The quiet location, frequent deer sightings and unique, mostly all wood features of the house are interesting and unique. I esp like the wooden door locks on a number of internal doors. And the exterior door locks were unique and substantial. If you note an odd odor outside around the parking area in late summer, we determined there's a small, low-growing weed with yellow blooms that will get your attention. Anyhow, if you are in the Rapid City area and needing a wonderful place to bed down for a while for 6 or less people, check out Spring Canyon Buffalo Cabin. It's good!

Black Hills Getaway

Our family of 4 plus our dog stayed at this property for a family vacation. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The home was VERY clean and met all of our needs! It is tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by nature. Visiting the area was so much fun and this house rounded out the whole experience! Highly recommend staying here, we know we will if we visit again!
