Really enjoyed our stay!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Tropical storm aside, we really enjoyed our stay. The location of the building was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Destin. Having easy and quick beach access was the best part. The pool was my kids favorite feature and we used it daily. Our condo was clean and had all the appliances and utilities we needed. Definitely will recommend this place.

Family Friendly Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We come back each year to Silver Dunes because it's family friendly. Everything from the pool, courtyard to beach is perfect. Our unit, 42 had a great kitchen. The carpet needs replacing and new beds in the guest room. Our only complaint is the garbage buildup in the stairwell. If people couldn't fit it in the garbage shute, they left it sitting in the stairwell. My suggestion is clear communication to guests that this isn't acceptable and give a solution to where they can take their garbage if it doesn't fit in the shute.

The unit was well furnished, carpet appeared to need replacing. Found cookies under the bed upon arrival, kitchen had areas that were not clean (fridge, stove).Stayed with silver dunes the past 25 years, usually things are cleaner.

Silver Dunes

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a wonderful vacation in Destin, FL. Unfortunately, management didn't seem fair with my group. Upon first arriving, staff accused my group of "piling too many people off the RV". They also said we were keeping people awake at night despite our whole condo going to bed at 10:00pm. When further evaluated, it was determined a board member was staying in the room next to us and had "hawk eyes for our group". One day while staying in the pool, a security guard approached and said due to Florida Ordinance we cannot have any fluids within pool range. We quickly removed our drinks. The next day, when more vacationers arrived, everybody had drinks within the pool with no problem. We also got in trouble on the beach for playing family-friendly music at an appropriate level.

There are several thing to do and restaurants in the area. My only complaint is both the inside and outside of the condo could use an update. Overall we had a great mini vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved Unit 42. We have stayed at Silver Dunes 3 times now and love it. Unit 42 is beautiful and spacious. I loved having 2 floors. The view from the upper balcony was simply gorgeous. The Silver Dunes complex is so inviting and family oriented. We loved the S'mores night with live music. Sorry the weather was not good for the pool grand kids love it and cant wait to go back. it is a perfect place to stay. We have met several families 2 years in a row here that are now our friends. We enjoy going to LuLu's for dinner. The beach is clean and beautiful. We will be back

Silver Dunes Unit 42 July Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, we enjoyed our stay at Silver Dunes. There's not many places in Destin that are not high rises, and the beaches are not so crowded. It's definitely a family friendly (young or older kids) place to stay. We loved our unit with all the space, but the furniture in the living area could use some updating including a new sofa bed, which was unusable. Other than that, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice, the kitchen was fully equipped and had lots of pantry space which was definitely a plus.

Plenty of room and a beautiful view from the upper balcony. We have been to Silver Dunes 5 times and stayed in Unit 42 twice. We love it and will be back.

Location was perfect, short walk to the beach, spectacular view of the ocean from our balconies, near grocery stores, shops, and Backporch restaurant. The king bed was very comfortable and the condo was clean. The ice machine was a nice bonus. We would definitely rent again.

Unit 42

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our spring break vacation for my family of 5 was wonderful. The property was great and the beach was fantastic. My family loved the access to the cornhole boards on the beach!Upon arrival, I was surprised to find our kitchen sink very dirty and containing popcorn kernels. Along with that, the coffeemaker basket contained a used filter and coffee grinds. We also found an empty water bottle under a bed upstairs. The pull out sofa was terrible. That really needs to be replaced. Luckily there was an air mattress my son was able to use.
