CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: AMENITY CLOSINGS EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 2025

SunDestin Beach Resort is currently undergoing exterior construction around the property. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and on-site restaurant are projected to be closed until the beginning of January 2026.

Please be aware that construction activity may result in noise between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. Our goal is to keep you informed ahead of time so you can make the most of your stay with us.

Parking in the main lot may be limited. Please note that the drive-through area at the main lobby entrance, typically used for loading and unloading luggage, may be temporarily closed. Each one-and two-bedroom condo is allowed one vehicle only. Any additional cars will need to park in the overflow lot across the street.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as the resort works to improve and enhance the overall guest experience.

Need some time away? There’s a beach for that and it’s just steps from SunDestin Beach Resort in Destin, FL. Nestled on the sugar sands along the Gulf of Mexico shores, amenities abound at this centrally located resort property. Browse through our lobby gift shop for snacks and cold beverages before heading out to soak up some sun by the newly renovated outdoor pool. Linger in the outdoor hot tub or lounge surfside with a beach chair and umbrella (additional fee). Get your workout in at the fitness facility, both located on property. Enjoy seasonal amenities as well, including an outdoor splash pad and tiki bar. Need a break from the endless sunshine? Check out the indoor pool (heated seasonally), sauna, or steam room. Late afternoon, take a nap or unwind with complimentary DVD rentals. SunDestin Beach Resort is perfect for your large personal gatherings with the ballroom accommodating up to 120 people. Our warm and friendly Scenic Stays team will be available throughout your stay via our 24-hour on-site front desk should any questions arise.

SunDestin Unit 1702 is a cheerful, sunny one bedroom, one- and one-half bathroom condo accommodating up to six. Feel renewed upon entrance, greeted by an open concept living/dining space with vibrant beachy decor. Lounge in the living room in front of the flat-screen TV or head to the kitchen to prepare a snack in the fully appointed kitchen. Enjoy meals at the dining table or sup alfresco out on the balcony! When it’s time for some shuteye, settle into the master suite housing a king-sized bed, flat screen television, and en suite bathroom for added convenience. Others can doze on the queen sleeper sofa in the living room or on twin bunks nestled in the hall.

While in Destin, take the whole family to Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park or charter a boat and meander for dolphin sightings!

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Great location!

Loved the location of this place! There were only a few things I would’ve changed. The floors in the living room weren’t the cleanest, they were covered in sand. The key was missing from the safe and the bedroom window was left unlocked. Also, for me a handheld shower head is a must and it doesn’t have one. Outside of that, this place was great! I would definitely stay there again!

Amazing !!

The room was perfect ! The view was so pretty we saw dolphins. The room was very clean and was better than the pictures! It was huge ! The hotel its self had everything you need , beach front , then showers, then pool indoor with shade and out . A hot tub and a splash pad ! I would stay here over and over!

Great condo

Love this place!! Super clean. Comfortable beds. Internet was very poor but there was a provider issue while there. My only complaint was that the air conditioner was very loud when it came on. Was not pleasant to listen to while on the porch enjoying the view. Also need a better coffee maker.

Horrible Experience

When we got to the resort after a 14 hour drive with me my husband, son and grandson we went to the unit and I was appalled by what I saw. The whole resort was under construction so when you went in the balcony there were three ropes hanging in front. It was for the works to use to work on the out side, so they would pass by the unit everyday. The closest were packet full of 5 gallon paint buckets so we couldn’t use them. The fridge was rusted and had writing on it in black sharpie “narrowed from the maintenance shop. There was something all over the couch and pillows. The unit was disgusting. We went down to the front desk and the young man there was very polite and wanted to help us. He called the manager on the phone because she wasn’t there. She wanted the security gaits to go up to the room to see about our complaints. The security guard agreed and let the young man at the desk know, he then called the manager back and she wanted us to just stay one night in the unit and I said absolutely not. Then she wanted to give a full refund and I said “and go where it’s 8 pm”. So after an hour of this she finally put us in a unit that the young man at the desk had originally suggested. By the way the young man’s name was Denzil and he was so polite and wanted to help. I booked the original unit on reviews and it was so far from a 9.8!! I’d give it a 0. .

MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW!!!

Cannot beat the view! I love being on the 17th floor. Being that high up, you still hear the ocean sounds very well and you see so much more. We saw dolphins, manatee, sting rays, etc. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. And it is interesting to watch the people activity in the boats and on the water, the beach, pools, splash pad and hot tub. My happy place!

We love it

We enjoyed staying there the staffs were super friendly. But there was a couple things First the wifi was soooooo bad. We couldn’t get any good signal at all. I have to use my own Second I love to sit outside at the balcony but the noise from the A/C compressor was so loud I couldn’t enjoyed enough. Lastly there was no cutting board provided. So inconvenient Other than that we enjoyed every moment we stayed. Thank you.

Great location

Great location and beautiful beach. The space in the condo unit was used well and we enjoyed having the kitchen for breakfast and lunch. The unit could use some updating and a fresh paint job. Very comfortable stay.

Mattress too soft

The mattress in the main bedroom was so soft it caused my wife and I to wake up in pain each day. Besides that, the unit, location and people were wonderful. The unit was clean and had an amazing view. Kitchen had all the things necessary and worked well. TV's were nice size too.

Beautiful but difficult to sleep

The scenery, the area, the people and the unit were all excellent EXCEPT for one thing. The mattress is way too soft. Woke up in pain each day, both my wife and I from the mattress. Got better sleep at the beach in the chairs and on the couch in the unit.

Shower

We were trying to shower for family pictures and maintenance came to the room and told us that we had a leak in our bathtub. Thankfully, we were able to shower at other condominiums because we had family staying here as well. You would think that we would have been compensated for something beings that the price for the rentals is outrageous and the property isn’t that great. I do know that my family has decided that we will never stay at this condo again.
