Caribbean style resort close to Disney parks. Resort features fishing lake, pools, play areas, restaurant and spa. Surrounded by wildlife. None party space. Mostly looking to rent to families looking to experience Florida. Non smoking unit.
Wonderful stay on a great property. Condo was in great shape, perfect amount of space for our group of 6. Property had wonderful pools and beautiful natural space. We even got to see some alligators. Distance to Disney was short with some easy backroads to get you part of the way. Will definitely stay here again.
This was our first stay at Bahama Bay Resort. The resort property was great. With 4 pools to choose from, there was hardly a day we did not have access to a beach lounge chair. The pools and pool decks were always clean, and very well maintained. The resort, overall, was beautiful. The Tradewinds restaurant on the resort property was neat and clean, and the food was delicious. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. This was one of the nicest resorts we have stayed at within our price range. We have already reserved a condo there for next year!
We have stayed at this resort for 20 years. This by far has been our worst experience. Carpet was disgusting. It was soaking wet when we arrived because they had it cleaned. When it finally dried the stains all reappeared. Tub leaked and sinks and tub dont drain properly. Overall just very run down and dirty by comparison to other units. The furniture is completely worn out. Worn right through the cushions. The tv didnt work the whole time we were there. I took pictures of everything. The owner then told us we srained the carpet when that is a complete lie and the carpet is gross throughout the place. I could go on. Do NOT recommend
I have rented VRBOs before but have had better experiences. In the check in email--I received the news that the carpet was due to be replaced and that is was self catering unit. Which is ok, but would have been nice to know in advance. Cooking pans, bowls and utensils were limited and although spices were listed in the descriptions, there were none--not even salt and pepper. No dish clothes or dishtowels--just 1/2 sponge. Could not adjust the air conditioning as the risk of breaking it and losing a big deposit. It was 5-10 a night cheaper than similar units (because of the old carpet--conveyed in the checkin email) but the entire unit needs a good painting and updating. We stayed for a week and was not in the actual unit that much so we survived.
