Was our second time here and will definitely return!
Our family really enjoyed staying here. All rooms were very clean and property was well maintained. The host was amazing and answered all of our questions. The sunsets were simply breathtaking. Thank you so much!!!
My daughter (10) and I stayed here and had a lovely time. Very quiet place. The lake was beautiful, we had so much fun kayaking and paddle boating. The home had everything you could need. Will definitely try to go back!!
We enjoyed our stay and family cookout, swimming, fishing, kayaking, the pedal boat, and firepit. A perfect Maine Up To Camp experience in a very well equipped cottage on a peaceful pond with loons. A great little sandy beach and a nice dock to fish from. Perfect for our needs.
We had a wonderful vacation at Jessicaâs cottage. It was quiet, clean, and a great place to get away to for a week! Jessica kept in contact to ensure our stay was everything we hoped for! We highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful vacation!
Our 7 year old son wanted a getaway to simply swim and fish as he celebrated his birthday - this spot did not disappoint! The owners have clearly put a ton of thought into providing their guests with whatever they might need. A great place to enjoy each others company, and the sunsets are epic!
The house and grounds are amazing. The rock steps going down to the sandy beach. Easy in and out with a kayak. The sunsets and stars at night or to die for. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked if youâre looking for quit, this is your place.
Nice relaxing atmosphere with everything you could possibly need. Kids loved kayaking and fishing from the dock and caught fish! Lake was clean and quiet without lots of boats making it a great place for my kids to learn to kayak without large boats zooming through which would make this mom nervous. Highly recommend. The beach was sandy which is rare in Maine.
beach was sandy! Beach was and sandy,
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was thought of and provided. The views were amazing and all of the equipment, kayaks, and my husband really enjoyed fishing. The house was very clean but the carpet was stained, I would suggest replacing it with something that can stand-up to the traffic also the outdoor cushions need to be replaced. This didn't stop us from having a wonderful week just suggestions for the next guests or maybe us next year. Thank You!
We arrived pretty late at night so if you don't know where you are going, it could seem a bit daunting. However, the house was clean and ready for occupancy. It was very warm so with no AC, the first night was rough but we muddled through. The view is absolutely spectacular! Oh . ..sitting out in the provided chairs and sipping your beverage as you take in the scenery was the best part of this trip! All the amenities available in the house made staying very enjoyable and having friends over to kayak and eat was cherry on top! Thank you for a great weekend stay!
We had a wonderful time once again at this small camp in Somerville. It was a getaway for just my husband and myself, and we spent much of the time sitting on the porch, enjoying the serenity and the wildlife, reading a book, and sometimes sipping a cocktail. We did make a trip into Augusta when my husbandâs phone died and that was an easy and short trip. The camp feels remote, but it really is not that far from any services one might need. We also had lunch on that trip in Manchester, ME, at the Kennebec Cabin Companyâs/Maine Cabin Mastersâ restaurant, the Woodshed. We also enjoyed some kayaking in Long Pond and a short way down the Sheepscott River. And as usual, when we had questions, Jessica was very responsive. It was a wonderful week.
What a blessing to be right on Long Pond the first week of real summer weather! Loons, bald eagles, osprey, turtles, frogs and fish to enjoy. So restful and peaceful to look out on the water at all hours. Loved kayaking, dipping and hiking nearby. Slept well and found the kitchen and home well equipped with all we needed for a week long stay. Felt like we were borrowing the home of a friend, and so grateful for the opportunity!
I first looked for a place on a lake near my nephew as he was dealing with cancer. He had recommended a place nearer to his home but the shoreline was rocky. This place has a small beach which is perfect for kids. Everything you need is there. I wish I could afford to stay longer. Jessica is very easy to work with.
We had a great week on Long Pond! We enjoyed the kayak and the small beach. I went in barefoot but my husband would recommend water shoes for any Maine pond. I think we most enjoyed sitting on the porch, sipping a beer or wine, and listening to the ducks, the geese, the loons, and watching the eagle fly by. Long Pond is a quiet lake. Quite a few kayakers and some boat activity (saw a couple jet skis and one group tubing) but most of the time, it is a quiet, âenjoy natureâ lake. Many fishermen went by and I saw some children enjoying the water a few cabins down. Itâs also located close to several mid Coast tourist towns such as Boothbay, Damariscotta, Nobleboro, Rockland, Rockport, and Camden. One day we took the auto road up Mount Battie in Camden (small fee for this at Camden Hills State Park) and enjoyed the views. We then had lunch and explored a few shops in downtown Camden. It was a simple but a great day out and the views were amazing. Check out the waterfall in downtown Camden! The cottage would easily sleep six, although we were only two. The first two days were exceptionally hot, in the low 90s with high humidity, and the air conditioning was appreciated. The kitchen is very well outfitted and had everything we needed. We had one lunch and one breakfast out, but the rest of the time we enjoyed meals at camp. The Internet was very appreciated, although not as strong as home, but it did make it easy to connect a laptop for email, etc. It was a very nice week. Thank you!
What a great experience and opportunity to unwind and reconnect as a family!! Amazing fishing, fun campfires, great time on the kayaks! Jessica was responsive to any questions!
This cabin and location gave us the best week we couldâve hoped for. The cabin is in such a perfect location and has everything you need to be comfortable and more. The kayaks of all sizes and paddle boat made it so enjoyable and we had some amazing experiences with the wildlife. Our host was so kind and attentive and the cabin was clean and well stocked. I will definitely be back next summer. So perfect!
We loved our stay at this lakefront cottage. we will be back. the kitchen was stocked with everything you'd ever need and the property had all the toys and tools necessary for a great time.
We loved our time here! Super cute cabin with a great view of the lake. Access to kayaks was a major plus and we conveniently located within driving distance of some other towns. Jessica was super responsive and helpful!
I choose this lake because it has all the amenities of lake life but leaves the hustle and bustle of larger lakes behind! It is small enough to feel safe and private and allows motor boats (unlike other small lakes in the area). Small children can play in the private beach area and although a few boats may go by, they won't be a threat to the safety of children swimming. The private beach area is unmatched. The water is clean and clear and I love fishing from the shore! The sunsets over the lake make me never want to leave.
