Experience tiny home living in the Eastern Sierra's! Custom tiny home located on over an acre behind the Historic West Walker Motel. Numerous outdoor activities available include swimming crystal clear waters, bathing in hot springs, fishing, rafting ++. This unit is not appropriate for people with mobility issues, the main bed is lofted with steep stairs, the 2nd bed area is also lofted with a small ladder and the secondary sleeping is on a futon.

This is a boutique road side motel. It's off the 395, if you are a light sleeper this may not be the right place for you.

Wonderful place to stay

It's a wonderful place to stay. I thought this location is perfect for my itinerary my only complained is the wifi I've been trying to connect but to no avail other than that it's a perfect location quiet and peaceful . Thanks Shevy for renting your place. Definitely It's worth recommending.

Clean, safe, and affordable

The place was exactly what I needed as a place to sleep while exploring the ES during the day. It was clean, safe, and affordable. There is a restaurant across the street that has decent food and Walker Coffee is just down the road. If you're expecting a luxury stay, this isn't it. But if you want a clean, safe space to land after a day of hiking, exploring, etc. this little place is a gem.

Saved money, had a great time and had what I needed

Saved money on everything else in the area for Independence day, thank you. Was able to cook to save. It is a tiny home so if you are closer to 6', the shower and bathroom will make you lean over. Also, if you have mobility issues, it may be tough to access the beds. Just FYI. for me it was great. Saved money, had a great time and had what I needed.

Great little spot to stay

Overall, this was a great little spot to stay! We would likely stay there again. There are several very neat little walkable spots and the accommodations were comfy and met most expectations. The host provided arrival and entry instructions that were easy to follow and we found the place without issue. The only issue we experienced was that the wifi info they provided was not strong enough to work in the room, which was tough because I had some work tasks to attend to. When I let them know in a private message towards the end of our stay, they responded that there was an alternate option if we had reached out, so perhaps this issue could have been avoided if I had let them know sooner. Instead, we used the wifi at the BBQ spot across the street from the accommodations for the "must do" work tasks. (BTW, great little restaurant! Definitely check it out if you're a fan of BBQ!)

Tiny Home

I’m torn in writing this review, because there were definite positives and it was a cute place. However, we arrived around 7pm and let ourselves in (no on-site office) and quickly saw that our adjacent ‘building’, which was feet away, was a residential camper surrounded by trash and otherwise messy junk. Also, a dog barking incessantly on a chain. Even with the TV on loudly, we could hear it AND the ones inside the RV. There were no paper towels and one roll of toilet paper, no sugar or creamer for coffee, which was provided. And since it’s a tiny town, all the closest gas stations (only stores… no groceries) were already closed. We had to drive into Nevada (about a 30 minute total drive) for these items. I know it seems like ‘first world problems’, but even Holiday Inn has these basics. And you still have to clean your dishes (with what to dry them besides bath towels you’ve used….) and take out your own trash to the dumpster right out front of your view since there’s no onsite management. It was relatively clean, but I use to manage properties, so I’m I bit picky in that regard. It was memorable, but we won’t be staying again.

Cute and compact, as expected. No barking dogs like last review, but was thankful we brought paper towels and did our shopping prior to arriving in Walker. Coffee shop nearby was great. Didn’t spend a lot of time at property besides sleeping and breakfast. Served as a home base for our sight seeing.
