This is a true tiny house located on a multi unit 20 acre property on the banks of the year round Kisercreek. Enjoy the sounds of the year round creek from everywhere inside and outside the tiny house. All the comforts of home full kitchen full bathroom comfortable queen tempur-pedic bed and comfortable sofa bed. The tiny house is elevated over the creek there is NO handrails surrounding the deck. Not safe for children. The deck flooring is made of steel grate so can be uncomfortable for some dogs to walk on. Cell phone service can be spotty at times. Internet is typically good. I looked it here! Everything was wonderful. I loved all the doors for light and air. Everything i needed. Shower was amazing! Quiet.I stayed for 2 nights. I was in B tiny home.
Loved the secluded location, calm scenery, creek and animals on the property. Amenities were good, it was very easy to cook meals while there, good storage and lots of hooks around the house to hang towels, bags, etc. Although I wish they provided paper towels. Unfortunately the A/C unit only cooled one room down, and the rest of the house got very hot. With all of the curtains closed, the thermostat read 84 in the hot afternoon sunshine. Kind of a bummer we couldnât keep the curtains open to enjoy the view. Also, the floors appeared clean but became extremely sticky shortly after arriving. It was almost as if someone tried to clean them with too much soap and didnât rinse them off well enough. That was a nightmare to deal with, our shoes were loudly sticking and our feet became very gross and dirty from whatever it was. But no smell and otherwise pretty clean.
Property was nice, creek running nearby, facilties were clean, service was prompt if we needed anything. Once we figured the shower out, ie hot water, it was all good. We would use this facility again if needed in the future.
The pipes froze the first night but the property manager was responsive and corrected the issue in a timely manner.
There was a large unleashed white dog and llama (didnât mind the llama) but the dog approached and threatened my dog who was on-leash/ couldnât be shooed away.. There was no human around for the white dog but I believe he lived in the nearby house. No railing on the deck, which extended over the a creek many feet below. Nice for aesthetic , but couldnât ask my niece up to visit due to the danger to her small children. How is that code?
This was a terrible experience. We booked this tiny house weeks out, and on our way out of the house we received a message saying the tiny house was rented still as a guest had extended their stay. We were told they would provide other accommodations however there were no images and we were told to âjust come and see.â We were also told to stay away from the couple in the main house, as they were sick. This whole thing was so confusing. It seemed to warrant a phone call and some more intentional communication. Overall, we felt brushed off and not considered. Donât work with this host! Not reliable.
I left a fishing rod case in the cabin by mistake and tried on at least 5 occasions to call Melanie, but no answer. Her phone has no voice mail option, so i was unable to leave a message. Very disappointing.
We pulled up to the property and we were both like, "hmmm, not sure." Once we parked and walked to the front of the tiny home, hovering above a lush green, roaring creek, we were in heaven! Can't recommend enough!
Being a motorcyclist I enjoyed the seclusion of the property and the ride up the dirt road. Nice white noise at night with the creek running next to the house. Great star gazing. Inside as described, shower with good hot water. Unfortunately I could manage to get it cold, but thatâs okay. I would rebook.
The property and nearby creek were lush, green and gorgeous! The cabin was clean, quaint and restful. I really wish I couldâve stayed longer!! I would definitely rent it out again!!!
This is such a perfect little spot to go and get away, I felt very safe while I was traveling alone and even though they were other houses on the property I felt very secluded in the tiny home, it was just absolutely perfect and I loved everything about it. The sound of the creek when I opened up the windows in the morning really started off my day the right way and I also like getting to pet the horses in the cows that were on the property it was such an added bonus. Thank you so much for hosting me and I will definitely be back â€ïž
My boyfriend and I are college students at CMU and weâre in need of a relaxing and peaceful weekend stay. This tiny house is so charms and beautiful. We woke up every morning to a different animal across the creek, my favorite was the long horn. Sitting out under the stars was fantastic the most I have ever seen. I will be definitely booking another stay!
Although we didnât spend much time here as there is a lot to do in the area, we had a very cozy stay. Others have mentioned how the home is not level, i but it didnât negatively effect our stay at all. The sound of the creek at night and in the morning is a wonderful experience I hope to repeat some day! We even had some deer visit the creek late at night â€ïž there are other rentals on the property but you feel so cozy and secluded in the tiny home!
The setting is wonderful, and the description was very accurate. We loved sitting out on the deck, enjoying the sound of the stream and the view. I feel like if the owner invested a couple, hundred dollars to upgrade things like nice towels, providing some paper goods, such as napkins and paper towels, This would make this a five star rentals, rather than more like a three star that it is now. I would probably come again, because the price is very reasonable, and the bed is very comfortable, but I might look at other places to compare.
The place was nice. On the creek was a great setting. Just needs a little TLC and adjustment for the hot water...which was a bit too hot for showers...ouch.
Overall we would stay again.
The location of the tiny house over the creek was amazing. Hot water, cold AC and everything you need.
We had no mobile phone service so didn't get the check-in details although I asked days before, we had to bother other guests at the house for the owner's phone #. After we were getting settled 3 strangers were under the deck, just staring at my daughter and me which made us uncomfortable. They didn't introduce themselves or anything. Apparently, they were workers (the tiny house is slightly at an angle sliding towards the creek). Later at sundown, another middle-aged man was standing under our deck staring at us, so weird and uncomfortable being a single mom and teen daughter with no phone service. I called the owner and we had no such disturbances our 2nd night. (I had a phone connection near the house and there is free wifi). I reluctantly used the free wifi and someone tried to change my FB password, I should have used a VPN or something.
There were goats and longhorn sheep next door. A scruffy, collarless dog appeared on our deck while we were grilling. The morning of our check out there were numerous gunshots in the area, so it felt a bit lawless, like the wild west.
We had a nice visit but the Tiny House is tilted down towards the water. Enough to feel off balance when walking. Everything else was nice but I feel like others should know before booking. The water heater also only worked for the shower or first night and then we had to run the sink to get the shower to be warm.
