Two-room guest suite with private entrance located in picturesque Catonsville, MD on a pre-Colonial road originally used for rolling tobacco to the harbor. Downtown Baltimore is 20 minutes away, BWI airport and Amtrak station 15 minutes, and our street is located on a bus route. Beautiful 3.5 mile walk to historic Ellicott City and an hour from Washington, D.C. Individuals and families welcome!
Perfect accommodations for shows at Merriweather - and to venture downtown or Ellicott City. Cozy, clean and beautiful yard with the pool as a bonus. Will definitely be back.
Our hosts did a great job of making the space comfortable and efficient ! I was well stocked with needed tools, breakfast needs, including coffee pot, and microwave.(I brought homemade granola and some yogurt). The gardens were lovely, it was close to family, the host was great and we would return, again!
I was in town for a conference. The space was quiet and comfortable. I would definitely return if is available for my conference next year. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.
The hosts are very nice. The place is charming. Clean with abundant living space. The price was competitive with local hotels and you get so much more.
Enjoyed the visit to Catonsville and Calâs Rollingside Guest Suite worked great for our needs. My family traveled from California (2 parents, 2 adult children) and we visited my elderly mom to celebrate a milestone birthday. Her Catonsville home can only accommodate 2 guests, so we booked Calâs place for the 2 person overflow. Was clean, easy and very comfortable.
We had a lovely and peaceful stay in Catonsville. Everything was as described. The back patio and pool were inviting and relaxing on a warm summer day.
My mom and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend to see family and it was perfect! Very clean, the beds were comfortable and everything you need. Cal and Colleen have a beautiful property to look at and listen to the birds in the morning. We really enjoyed it here and are already talking about future stays!! Recommend!
We liked almost everything about this property and our stay. The location was convenient to our area event, and very close to a wonderful variety of restaurants. The suite was an addition to a historical brick house, with lots of info on its history and that of the area. The tv and sound system were outstanding. It was quiet and peaceful. We would have liked a bit more space in the bathoom, but we know compromises are sometimes necessary with additions. More lighting in the tv room would be nice, and the pillows provided on the comfortable bed were thin and unsupportive. Many bring their.own, and we meant to, but forgot. Overall, it was a charming experience and we would book.it again
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Rollingside Suite. Our hosts were so kind to our kids. The playset and swing were great, the jetted tub was awesome, and the outdoor space was beautiful. Every detail was well thought out and it was immaculately clean. The complimentary coffee and snacks were appreciated! It is clear that Cal and Colleen put a lot of care and time into this lovely place!
The location is very convenient and the entrance is in the rear of the house where the gardens, tranquility pond, pool, outdoor seating are beautiful! The space is accommodating and the hosts are exceptional and thoughtful to details. The snacks were gobbled up by all of us so thank you for those! The 5 year old enjoyed the outdoor playground and swing. A sweet spot!
We loved the ambiance of the setting which included pool, beautiful landscaping & koi pond. The back deck was shaded and delightful to snack there. Then within 5 minutes there were an array of restaurants! Our mission of relaxation accomplished!
Cal and his wife did an absolute great job setting up this rental. They were extremely helpful at helping us find local hot spots and extremely accommodating. The place was immaculately clean. Pool was great and refreshing. They had everything there for our little getaway. We felt extremely safe there too even being so close to Baltimore. Price is great too! Look no further!
The Rollingside guest suite was perfect for us. Clean, cozy rooms. Beautiful back yard. Attentive hosts. Cal and Coleen were very welcoming and helpful. Cal shared with us some interesting history of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the Trolley Trail and Historical Ellicott city. Also had some beautiful bird sightings. This was a perfect time of year to visit, during spring migration. Thanks, Cal and Coleen! We hope to come back again!
Cal and Colleen were extremely responsive and met all of our needs and more! It was evident that they put a lot of thought into every bit of the guest suite. For us, it was a quick trip to the Guinness Open Gate Brewery (highly recommend). Though it was a couples trip, we would have had plenty of room for family/another couple to stay with us. The suite is set up in a way that the two sleeping areas are able to be separate, with the bathroom in between. Every bit of information was clearly outlined for us. We appreciated all of the suggestions, labels, and instructions throughout the suite. Wonderful stay!
A very nice property with lots of great books and games on hand. The apartment is connected to the main building but has separate entrance and sitting area. The apartment has a wood burning fireplace. We were there after previous guests had a fire. The apartment was a little smokey smelling. I did not object, another renter might.
Boomer generation empty nesters with grown children and grandchildren, most of them nearby. It is a pleasure to share our 1920's house and yard with guests.
Landscaped back yard, deck and pool offer a peaceful environment to enjoy nature and the company of friends. The nearby villages of Catonsville and Ellicott City are quaint, charming and have lots of shopping, dining and nightlife attractions.
