Book your stay at this cozy mountain cottage! The residence features an indoor fireplace, rustic wood surfaces, mid-century touches, and a layout allowing for privacy between the upstairs and downstairs sleeping areas with queen beds in each of the three bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances downstairs; flat screen TV upstairs in living room. Relax at the fire pit while roasting marshmallows after a day on the slopes of Appalachian Ski Mountain. Sip coffee on the porch listening to the sounds of the property’s babbling brook. If you need to work, there is high speed internet and a separate home office. Just minutes away from hiking, skiing, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and all that Boone/Blowing Rock has to offer. All wheel drive or chains needed when it snows due to a steeper driveway; 3 car max. If you have any questions about the house or area, feel free to ask!

The location is perfect, being between Boone and Blowing Rock, with access to NC, VA, TN, SC loops.

Mountain Cabin Stay

Nestled near Boone and Blowing Rock this was there perfect choice for our stay. Our host were incredibly accommodating and on point with any and all communication. Will recommend and likely be back soon!

Tucked away but still convenient to everything

This "Retreat" is well-named; private but a short drive from it all. Comfortable beds; very clean; excellent communications with owner. The canopy of trees over the front yard was the perfect place for morning coffee.

Great location

We booked this house for our daughter’s first trip to Tweetsie and to see the mountains. She was in awe. The location between Boone and Blowing Rock is hard to beat. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and more. We plan to stay again soon!

Perfect location for activities and relaxation

I really enjoyed my stay. We were in town for a little league baseball tournament. This gave my family of five room to stretch out. The location was perfect, close to town and many other activities, but still tucked away with a feel of the mountains. After each game, the house was a great place to relax!

Location is fantastic

This house was just a couple of minutes off the main highway in a quiet neighborhood. Very quick and easy access to Boone or Blowing Rock. This house was clean and just the right size for our family of four. Tamara was a very thoughtful and engaged host.

Perfectly comfortable and clean

We enjoyed this comfortable home… there is a little traffic noise out front but nothing that will keep you awake as it seems to stop fairly early. Nice and private and plenty of room to stretch out.

Hideaway close to town

Fantastic location. Wonderful natural setting with a convenient fire pit with chairs surrounding made the hotdogs and s’mores great. Easy drive to Boone or blowing rock. Four-wheel-drive may be recommended during winter season, especially if any snow accumulation, but this summer it was easily accessible with our Honda CRV. Lastly, I slept extraordinarily well with the excellent bedding.

Perfect location, perfect host

The rental was in the perfect location for access to skiing, tubing, and Tweetsie Railroad- all activities that we planned for our young family. The real shining star of this rental is the host, Tamara! She was so incredibly attentive, responded quickly, and when we left a few valuable items behind in the haste of packing up three young kids, Tamara helped us recover the items- immediately easing our stress! Thank you Tamara!

Cozy Mountain home

Loved this cozy mountain home. I liked the stone and wood in the house. Only complaints, a few dead bug and large crawling ants, and shower pressure not great and could add a hook by the shower upstairs. But it was a great find. It was just minutes from Tweetsie Railroad the reason for our trip. It was right between Boone and Blowing rock downtowns. The owners were very responsive to all my questions.

Cozy Mountain Retreat easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Multiple Lakes!

My family and I are in love with this cozy mountain retreat! This is our second visit to this location and the property was once again spotless with some lovely new amenities. The 3 spacious queen size beds, modern kitchen, easy access laundry, convenient covered parking, fast WiFi - it has it all! The owner was incredibly responsive and had some fantastic local recommendations for us (shout out to Boonshine and Hatchet Coffee!). The whole family enjoyed the quiet and calm. The kids were able to have easy access to roam and explore - and of course, smores by the campfire. Everything was on site and convenient! Looking forward to a third stay and to enjoying the nearby lakes, family friendly breweries/restaurants, hiking, and fishing!

Beautiful, quant home with easy access to Boone and Blowing Rock

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The house is recently renovated with all the necessary amenities. The 3 queen beds are a real plus. We encountered only a minor issue during the stay and even this was immediately addressed by the owner. They have repair services oncall for quick response should the need arise. A word of caution for those with limited mobility. this is a two story unit with living area on one level and kitchen on the other. But is it could be used to advantage for those with kids, as they call stay upstairs, while the parents have a bit of quite in the bedroom next to the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again should we be able to make it back to Boone, NC.

We are a family of five who likes to get away from city life and enjoy relaxing in the mountains! We want to share our home with you, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

In selecting a home for our family, we wanted to find place that was like entering a different word. Even though it is a short drive from nearby locations, the high elevation of the area gives Blowing Rock a totally different climate; we love being able to go someplace cool in the summer and to have snow adventures in the winter!

The house makes you feel like you are in a woodsy getaway, but you are still close to all the comforts of life! There are tons of options of things to do, eat, and see - all within just a few minutes of the house.
