Walk to the Beach for Snorkeling, SUP, or Surfing!

Steps away from famous Kahalu’u Beach, this two bedroom condo is perfectly positioned to enjoy ocean sunsets and spectacular snorkeling. Sit on your lanai overlooking the pool, and the beach park across the street, while sipping your Kona coffee and enjoy the rolling waves in the distance. Walk down to the beach park and get an education from the Reef Teach volunteers before slipping into the water for snorkeling, stand up paddle-boarding, or surfing.

The main bedroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom with marble walk in shower and double vanities. The second bedroom has a queen bed and twin bed, with an attached bathroom that also opens to the hall. That bathroom has a newly resurfaced shower and separate soaking tub, as well as double vanities. The stackable washer and dryer, replaced in 2025, are also located here.

The main living and kitchen areas are full of beautiful koa wood (kitchen floor freshly refinished). The dining table will seat 4 with an additional 3 stools at the breakfast bar. There are ceiling fans in all living areas, but there is no air conditioning.

The complex offers a swimming pool, BBQ area, covered assigned parking & an elevator. Walk to Kahalu’u Beach Park, located approximately 700 feet away & only minutes to the Keauhou Shopping Center that has a grocery store, restaurants & shopping.

This is a non-smoking, no pets property. Quarterly, there is exterior and interior pest control scheduled by the complex management. The treatment is mandatory and may not be refused.

***DISCLOSURE: Kahalu'u Beach Park will be closed for coral spawning each year, in the second half of May. During the closure, the Kohala Center’s Kahalu‘u Bay Education Center and the Division of Land and Natural Resources Division of Aquatic Resources ask the public to refrain from swimming, snorkeling and surfing in Kahalu'u Bay to support the reproduction of cauliflower coral and to give the bay a rest.***

Coming Back ??

Our stay at this location was wonderful. I have been to this condo complex several time in the past and have always loved the location for its beauty, quietness, and central location foe experiencing all Hawaii has to offer.Sadly I learned today that the state of Hawaii will be adding a "Green" tax to all visitors who come there. The cost of doing anything here is already very expensive so it feels like the straw that broke the camels back. The "Green" deal nation wide has been proven to be a myth and just another money grab.

Awesome location

Condo is in a great location. Condo is in need of a deep clean and maintenance. The king size bed was not comfortable and the head board was not attached. The ceiling fans need some help as well. The one on the main living room area did not work very well and the light would keep coming on when it was turned off. The carpets in the condo need to be cleaned. They want you to leave your shoes at the door but your feet get dirty walking on the carpets. Loved the view from the balcony. The property is nice and the pool is great.

Review of #204 Kahalu'u Bay Villas (2022)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at and the view from Kahalu'u Bay Villas. Unit #204 was, however, quite dated, only in fair condition, and not air conditioned. We had problems with the bathroom exhaust fans and dishwasher that should have been addressed before occupancy and caused us inconvenience even though Hawaii Life's representative was relatively responsive when we reported them. Beds and showers were also not up to snuff. Rental for the unit is overpriced given its condition so would not stay here again or recommend despite the building, location and view otherwise being very nice.

Nice Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice condo across from beach park. Nice shopping area just down the street. There is no AC but with windows open and fans it was nice, even at night. Unit had everything we needed. Has a nice big lanai. We enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is the king size bed needs to be replaced so we slept on the queen bed in the second bedroom.

Beautiful Condo with easy access to beach and reef

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lots of space in this 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom condo. Lots of kitchen pots and pans, a blender, and all the other necessities to make your own meals. The pool area is awesome! We bbq’d twice and ate outside by the pool as well. The beach area (just down the street) has a reef full of fish!

Communication with Lisa and rental agency was great, Lisa even called to let us know she had personally inspected and the unit was ready early for us! Recommend Da Shack, Pa’akai Poke, Rays Obama Grill. Perfect location to grocery store, easy access to Queens highway, and of course excellant snorkeling within a couple minutes walk. My family’s favorite vacation unit, we will be back to Unit 204

Our Kona-side stay

We spent most of our time at the condo out on the lanai. It was a very relaxing week. Fantastic sunsets; would be much better if the tree yonder is trimmed a little bit.. Pool has a clean and well organized area to bbq meals. The building itself feels safe and well maintained, but not so sure about the rest of the neighborhood. We like to go for early morning walks down to the beach or along the main boulevard.
