Rent “Blind Jakes” a gem of a property and be inspired by the history and landscape that the legendary western artist Charlie Russell felt years ago. Located in the heart of the Little Belt Mountains (Lewis and Clark National Forest) across from Russell point, out the front gate, you will access hundreds of miles of maintained ATV, snowmobile and 4x4 trails. If fishing or hunting is on your agenda you’re in luck (hunting district 448). A stroll out the front door is the S. Fork of the Judith River where brook trout swim. Snowshoeing, fire pit, elk viewing, bird watching, swimming hole... it’s all here. This quaint 900 sq ft 1 bed, 1 bath cabin (sleeps 3) is well suited for any Montana adventurer(s).

Remote, charming , homey and memorable with incredible scenery and abundant wildlife. If hiking, inquire about the trail to “Window Rock” for a quick uphill hike to a pass through cave w stunning views of our valley. This is truly an epic area for outdoor adventurers or anyone who wants to relax in a very comfortable, well appointed, true Montanan cabin with lots of good feels. This property is security surveilled at the front and rear entrances.🙂

Absolutely beautiful views. The way the cabin eas furnished/decorated was both adorable and super cozy, though I personally wasn't a huge fan of all the taxidermy. But best of all, it was super peaceful, to the point that even our dogs slept clear through the night, which they never do at home. We really enjoyed our stay.

The summary here is easy. It was extraordinary. The hosts, the cabin, the mountains, the valley, the elk...everything. Kimberly was fabulous, I can't say enough about her or the cabin. I didn't do my research, I should've rented an SUV for the unpaved road to the cabin but we made it in a little Toyota anyway. The area, it's history, and obviously its people are amazing, I'd give it an 11 out of 10!!

My husband and I, along with our dog, Rizz, stayed for five days and four nights, and I cannot adequately put into words how much we enjoyed this cabin. We hiked, we drove the road to the Russian Flats (where we saw Mule Deer and Elk), played fetch with Rizz in the spacious yard, and we just relaxed. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet setting, this place is it! The cabin gives an off-the-grid feel, but you don't have to miss out of luxeries like running water, electricity, and high speed internet. The house itself is small, but so cozy and felt like home. I would not hesitate to stay again, and thoroughly recommed it.

Clean, cozy cabin in the woods

Great little cabin in the woods. Very well stocked with all amenities we could ask for. Very comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, DVD movies, great shower, plenty of outdoor games to play! It made a great base camp for hiking and fishing in the area.

Tucked Away Cabin With Everything You Need!

Our stay for an "ATV/get out of dodge week" in MT wilderness was perfect! This cozy cabin had SO many extras - maps, binoculars to glass the area, spices, toiletries, games, lawn chairs, cornhole, WIFI (yes, in the middle of the National Forest!). If you love the Belt Mountains but are too old to truly "rough" it, this is a no-brainer rental. Kim was easy to communicate with and has obviously put thought into what people need/want.

If you want to unplug

Beautiful cabin tucked in the mountains. Cabin is decorated beautifully. It has a wonderful kitchen, bed was very comfy, and porch for looking at the views and animals. Be sure you gas up and get your groceries before you arrive. No cell service, wifi or cable. Lots of hiking and off road adventures. Perfect for that get away! We'll be back !!!

Loved this place!!!

We stayed here for three weeks and absolutely loved it. Connected with some locals for SXS rides (referred by host) and enjoyed sunrises and sunsets from the porch in an absolutely stunning location. Cabin is nicely appointed and stocked with a million little things you might forget. This is super handy because it takes a while to get anywhere - the location is remote. Get groceries and gas before you arrive! Cell phones didn't work but cabin had Wifi and that was super helpful. Would definately recommend to others who are looking for a chill, comfortable out-of-the-way spot where you can explore trails and/or leave the busyness behind.

Spectacular and peaceful

I had the most special two weeks at Kimberly’s cabin, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. It is at the most beautiful location in a long and awe-inspiring valley, and the log cabin itself is both cozy/charming and modern with many special touches. It really is a treat. It is remote so no cell service nearby, be sure to download the map offline, and then when you arrive take that deep breath and marvel at the views and birdsong and stars. I worked remotely and the internet is speedy and consistent. I saw deer and elk and a marmot nearby on some excellent hikes, and a lot of bear signs. Host was so helpful. I feel lucky to have stayed here.

Luxurious little cabin in the woods

This cabin is very well maintained and beautifully decorated. It has a modern kitchen with a nice stovetop and oven a large deep kitchen sink and all the dishes and glasses you need. The bathroom is nice with a standard shower stall nicely upgraded with new faucets and shower head and sprayer. The laundry machines are front loader high end Samsungs. The bedroom has a large comfortable bed and the living area has a pull out bed as well and a very comfy full sized sofa. The house has a smart TV and high speed starlink internet which is really nice for watching Netflix or other streaming services (you must use your account). They also have a Nintendo Wii with games and plenty of dvd movies to watch. We really enjoyed the cabin and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Very nicely set up. Now the cabin is way in the forest so you won’t want to leave it unless necessary so it’s best to bring all the food you need. There is a full sized refrigerator to store perishables. We hiked to window rock but we saw many people using ATV vehicles and I imagine this would be a good place for that. The grounds are nice and quiet. The yard is fenced and maintained well with a nice fire pit for evenings. It’s a nice place to get away. Very peaceful and feels luxurious for a cabin. No marked trails in the area (that we found) but plenty of woods to explore. If you ask they will give you instructions on a hike to window rock which is a local unofficial gently used path with good view
