Our group of 11 (4 adults and 7 kids ages 9-18) stayed at Vista Verde for the New Year Holiday. We had a fantastic experience and cannot say enough about this property. The option for having a full staff for the week was more than worth the cost. We had Annette as the business manager, Cristobal as the property manager, Albert as our Lunch & Dinner Chef, Jennifer and Berta as our Breakfast chefs and cleaning, and finally Casey as our beach assistant. The staff makes all the difference here, they turn this lovely house into a private all-inclusive mini-resort. The house is thoughtful crafted and decorated to maintain Honduran culture. There was plenty of sleeping spaces and bathrooms for our group of 11. Annette spoiled us and took care of everything from grocery shopping to reservations for excursions. The listing is accurate in all the available amenities including a jet ski, 2 boats, a Toyota 4Runner, 4 kayaks, snorkel equipment, etc. We highly recommend using Mr Dewey for his East End boat tour and West End land tour. We also recommend a day at Brady’s Key - all of this can be arranged through Annette. Everyone had a wonderful time on this trip, its hard to mention all the great details. Highly recommend this property for your trip to Roatan

Beautiful stay with very attentive and courteous staff

Our stay at Vista Verde was perfect. The property is gorgeous and very well maintained. The staff could not have been better as they were very attentive and promptly took care of any issues that we had or anything that we needed. From local recommendations to helping us locate our favorite island foods! As with any island accommodation, you may experience some small power outages or internet outages, but there is still plenty to do and sometimes those distractions are not missed! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Vista Verde

Vista Verde was a perfect spot for our family vacation on Roatan. With eight of us, there was plenty of room to spread out in its immaculate modern house. Recently built and beautifully maintained, its stunning location catches a nice breeze, keeping the insects and heat to a minimum. The property is located in a gorgeous, unspoiled area with very little development, so one looks out over a large expanse of forested land on either side. There is easy access to a huge private beach and dock; kayaks and jet skis are available. With a few small exceptions, everything works, a real feat in a tropical climate! We didn’t have time to take advantage of the many extras that come with the house, but it would be ideal for an extended vacation. The staff were sweet and tremendously accommodating, helping make sure all our day trips went smoothly. We take an extended family group on vacation to a different destination every year, usually a remote place. Many times we spend a good chunk of time just solving problems with the accommodations or provisions. This didn’t happen at Vista Verde. Our requests were addressed promptly, and we were free to spend our vacation time enjoying Roatan, and the lovely people who live there, together. I would highly recommend Vista Verde due to the quality and beauty of the property, and the dedication of its owner and on-site management team.

Amazing Luxury Vacation

This property is truly magical. We had a group of 13 people ranging from 8 years old to 80 years old. There is really something for everyone here. The staff is amazing. We could not have asked for anything else. The bedrooms are just as photographed and are comfortable. We were lucky with the weather for the first 4 of our 7 days. Even in the rain and wind the property was fun and beautiful. Thank you to the entire staff for making this a vacation we will never forget. Having the golf cart to go down to the beach house and get around the property is awesome! Be aware of the sand fleas they do spray at the property but do buy or bring bug spray. All around an amazing experience and we would love to come back.

Magical Birthday Trip

My family stayed at Vista Verde for my mom's 70th birthday celebration and had an AMAZING vacation! The house is very clean and has everything you could need and more. The staff were incredible. They provisioned the house before we arrived and were happy to pick up additional items as needed. This was the first time we had meals cooked for us on vacation, but it won't be the last. This truly allowed us enjoy the days without worrying "what are we going to have for dinner?" The food was delicious! We were taken out in the boat almost everyday to go snorkeling and this was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The reef is truly incredible, and we all had a wonderful time swimming around and seeing all the beautiful coral and colorful fish. Another highlight was the trip to Pigeon Key to snorkel with nurse sharks and stingrays. Ana organized two days of diving for my husband and I, one at a nearby resort where they picked us up from the dock and one at Big French Key, where we had a divemaster all to ourselves! On the sand flies and I am typically a mosquito magnet; however, with a light dusting of bug spray we had no trouble with the bugs. This truly was a magical vacation, and we hope to return with more family and friends. We will be sure to plan our next stay to co-inside with mango and guava season. Though even in early October we were able to pick and enjoy some from the property. Many thanks the the Casa Vista Verde team for a wonderful week!

Quiet Paradise

Traveled with two families (total of 7 people). The property is amazing with landscaped acres of fruit and palm trees, manicured beachfront and quiet seclusion. We enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to coming back. Ana, the property manager, arranged our diving and activities. On two days we were picked up from the pier and taken to the nearby resort. We've always wanted to visit Roatan for diving and island experiences and we were not disappointed. The nice part is that you can plan your activities around the cruise ship schedule (Wednesdays and Thursdays seem to be the crowded days). We did rent the facilities PWC and enjoyed traveling down the coast to see some of the beautiful properties inside the reef. Highly recommend getting the chef-prepared dinners if in a larger group because restaurants require a bit of a drive to get to.

Family vacation Roatan Casa Vista Verde

Stayed a week at Casa Vista Verde / had a great time / house is extremely clean, secluded and the staff very attentive and accommodating. We did most meals at the house and the chef did a fantastic job (our favorites were sushi night, the spaghetti with pesto and seafood, risotto and the lobster tails). We went snorkeling, played golf, went kayaking and also deep sea fishing. All activities were awesome and the staff always took care of arranging the transportation. The only disappointment is the flies which just seem to bite daily and the our enjoyment of the beach. The beach area is huge and feels private… we even did an evening bonfire that the staff prepared… but the beach is very course with shells and rocks and the water has a lot of sea grass … which is not inviting to swim or lounge around. This was a nit for us as we were predominately a pool user. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again

Dear Mr. Scala. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are very pleased to hear that our staff made your stay pleasant and you enjoyed our services to the fullest. Roatan is home to a small insect called a “sand fly”. It is believed closely related to an insect known in the US as a no-see-um. In our experience they are very sensitive to OFF! One spray in the morning and one when coming out of the water, usually keeps them away all day. We provide OFF! As part of our welcome amenities at check in and are happy to provide more upon request. They tend to show up when conditions on the beach are wet and coo, which is normally around November to early January. During that time we also fog twice a day with a bio-gradable botanical repellent if conditions indicate they may be on the shore. As advertised, our shore line is roughly 900 ft long. The Eastern and Western thirds are sand, but the center third consists of mostly coral fragments and shells, and is rough in its natural state. For this reason, we recommend our guests wear water shoes as appropriate. The Turtle Grass or Sea Grass is a nursery for many sea species including baby barracudas, baby turtles, sea horses etc. The sea grass grows and shrinks as sea conditions change there was more during your stay than average, however we hope you also noticed the number of small sea creatures in there natural habitat. As you leave the shore line there is a section of the beach with is pure sand underwater, and as you get deeper you will find again more turtle grass. Our staff is happy to point out sections with pure sand. Our guests can also take the kayaks, jet-ski, or boats to enjoy the clear water and sand just inside the deep water reef just minutes away. Perfect vacation

From beginning to end. It was perfect. Starting from the communication prior to arriving at the property Ana and Anette communicated clearly and helped ensure our arrival was a good one. The property is beautiful and well kept. We felt like we were living the life of rich and famous. It was a homecoming of sorts for my mom that came down for the trip. We had a friend who loved fresh coconut water. The staff ensured that she had fresh coconut water for breakfast. The amazing cook and housekeeper made us a great breakfast every morning. We only chose to have breakfast prepared. Part of me could have stayed exclusively on the property but we chose to leave during the day and take advantage of all the things Roatan has to offer. Ana was able to coordinate travel for my parents and get them from and to the property. That was a great help for us. I highly recommend Casa Vista Verde. A beautiful property with lovely staff that ensured our stay was special.

Paradise!

Our trip to Casa Vista Verde was a dream vacation!! The staff took amazing care of our family. They made us feel right at home from the moment we pulled in. The house is gorgeous, super clean and was stocked with all our special requests. The food was authentic and delicious. We highly recommend Chef Frank, no need to eat out when you have him cooking! Ana and Annette made sure all our needs were met and every activity was planned perfectly, rain or shine. We had a beautiful engagement and a dream 25th anniversary renewal. One thing to remember, don’t forget the bug spray!! The sand flies love new people. All 10 of us enjoyed our memorable stay. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

Beautiful Property!

Vista Verde is one of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed in. Ms. Ana and Ms. Anette along with all the other staff make Vista Verde "The" place to stay. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting a carefree vacation!

Four Seasons Service In Your Very Own Villa

I don't know if I booked too quickly or if I just wasn't paying attention, but I did not realize this house was fully staffed when I booked. What an AMAZING surprise! I'm the one that typically cooks, cleans, and watches the kids on our vacations. I love traveling with my family, but I always need a vacation from my vacation. I can't tell you how amazing it was to have the cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, etc. taken off my plate so I could ENJOY! The entire staff was incredible and truly made our vacation. Four seasons service. The home is beautiful and has everything you need. I believe it is accurately described in the description and photos. It was set up perfectly for 2 families. The location was ideal for us. Snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, diving, and boating all out your backdoor. We took the boat or kayaks out almost every day. We so very appreciate you sharing your home and hospitality with us. We hope to be back soon!

Wonderful relaxing stay!

We just returned from one of the most amazing and relaxing weeks of vacation in Roatán! Casa Vista Verde is an absolute paradise of a property! There are lots of places to relax and take in the breathtaking views of the ocean. Roatán is a great island getaway with lots to do from snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, hugging sloths/monkeys, exploring the West End/Bay area or finding secluded beaches on the East End to explore! But what really makes Casa Vista Verde absolutely amazing is the friendly and caring staff. Ana kept everything organized and helped us get all our activities set up. Edelis kept the villa very clean and did laundry when needed. Neptali and Hector kept the grounds looking great and were wonderful guides around the island by land and sea! Yosselin made the most delicious meals, each one like a 5 star restaurant! Relaxing with family on the patio overlooking the ocean enjoying the amazing food and presentation will be something we will always remember!! We can’t say enough about how great the staff are at Casa Vista Verde! We would highly recommend staying at this fabulous villa and enjoying all Roatán has to offer!

Beautiful location and amazing staff

We had a nice, long couples weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday, and the accommodations, staff, and food were all amazing. We plan to return with our whole family.

What a great property and staff! We will be back!

I could not give this property a higher recommendation. The staff was great and attentive, the house was large and luxurious and everything was exactly as advertised. We loved the cabana, private beach and boat dock. It was a wonderful way to spend our first week in Roatan. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Warm Hospitality and Stunning Views

From the moment we were picked up by the house driver at the airport until the handshakes and hugs goodbye, we were treated to smiling expert hospitality. There are many beautiful homes on Roatan; you can see many of them if you take a water tour. What makes this beautiful place special is the staff. The home is clean, bright and spacious; plenty of room for our four couples. The grounds are well tended, and the well-featured cabana (kitchenette, restroom with shower and dining table) is ideally situated above the white coral beach. A short stroll down the beach brings you to the resort next door complete with a restaurant / bar and all manner of activities, from watercraft rentals to horseback riding. We spent many hours in the infinity edge saltwater pool, as well as the spa. Views from the upstairs balcony are stunning: the blues, greens and gentle breakers over the coral reefs of the Bay of Honduras as well as the ever-changing cloudscape are on full 270 degree display. In the evenings we retreated to the basement for a hearty game of bumper pool and big-screen TV. Well off the beaten path, this home is ideally suited for leisure. Although the house was a sanctuary, the staff gladly chauffeured us to some incredible locations: the monkey and sloth rescue, West End and West Bay, Big French Key, an awesome Mangrove forest, multiple snorkel sites, and deepwater fishing. The warmwater snorkeling and healthy reefs are a delight to explore. With both breakfast and late lunches, always with local provisions and flavors expertly prepared provided by the awesome kitchen staff, we rarely needed a dinner out. Our custom experience would NOT have happened without the dedication and response of the expert manager Ana and her team, though. Heartily endorse this experience!

Casa Vista Verde-World Class Villa and Staff.

Casa Vista Verde, Roatan - Beautiful island, amazing villa with an incredible staff Our stay at Casa Vista Verde on the beautiful island of Roatan was a vacation of a lifetime. The villa itself was amazing. Built on a hill overlooking the second largest reef in the world, the villa provided breath taking views which never got old. The layout of the villa was excellent, five bedrooms, each with a private bath. The patio with an infinity-edge design pool, outdoor spa, super comfy chaises, and tables and chairs was the place to be when we weren’t experiencing the remarkable attractions around the island. If the pool wasn’t enough, the beach was a short walk down the stairs from the villa. The things to do on the island seemed to never end, which is why we are planning our next trip to Roatan. The villa supplied kayaks were great fun, paddling around the cove. We jet skied for an afternoon and took a sunset horseback ride on the beach and through the water to a neighboring island which was beautiful. The snorkeling was perhaps my most vivid memory. The beauty found in the reef, a 10 minute boat ride from the villa was something I have never experienced. We golfed at the world class Black Pearl Golf Course in which each hole offered stunning panoramas of this island paradise. We enjoyed the beach at West Bay and shopping and dining at West End. The food was amazing. The great people at the Casa Vista Verde provided a daily breakfast which rivaled any 4-star restaurant in the states. We dined at restaurants two evenings while the other five nights we had dinner at the villa. We enjoyed dinners prepared by a guest chef, Francisco, who prepared grilled lobsters tails over risotto, filet mignon, grouper, and ribeye steaks. Each meal was served like a work of art. The staff at Casa Vista Verde was incredible. Ana was our cruise director, and her attention to detail was perfection. From coordinating transportation, meals, and provisions for our stay, we knew we were in a well-oiled machine that went on like clockwork. Sayda and Joselyn were working their magic in the kitchen. Hector and Neptali took care of the the grounds and the kayaks and other boats. The villa was always clean and the staff managed to do our laundry each day. This is the first vacation that I went home with a suitcase full of clean clothes! Our week at Casa Vista Verde and the island of Roatan was a trip of a lifetime!

Great house superbly staffed

Just spent a week here - 2 families with children ages 4-10, all ages had a blast - the property is on the other side of the island so once you get there, be ok with settling in - once you do, you’ll love it as the staff there is super friendly fun and will attend to anything you need or want to do Diving is of course world class and right in your backyard - also do the mangrove tour with Ana - very unique to the island Overall greatness

Perfect for large groups or family reunions

We celebrated my mom's 70th bday with our family of 12 (ages ranging from 6 to 70). Casa Vista Verde has everything you could want for a large group or family reunion and is especially perfect for families with kids. Nine acres of beautifully landscaped grounds to explore with plenty of room for everyone--and the teenagers had lots of fun using the golf cart. We were in the pool and hot tub every day enjoying the 360 degree views of paradise. Make sure to visit Pigeon Cay to see one of the best snorkeling spots in the world according to CNN. Pigeon Cay definitely was one of the highlights of our trip and Ana's underwater pictures were amazing and captured everything so perfectly. Joselyn and Wendy cooked breakfast and dinner for us each night, which we would highly recommend as the food was delicious and a great value relative to restaurant pricing. On one of the days Justin and Neptali drove us to West Bay for drinks and appetizers at Banarama so we could see the tourist side of the island, which we really enjoyed as a change of pace (but not somewhere we would want to stay for a week). Other than Pigeon Cay and West Bay, we didn't feel the need to leave Casa Vista Verde as it has everything you could want and, as other reviews highlight, it's really like staying at your own private resort. Ana, Joselyn, Wendy, Neptali, Hector, and Saida are all so sweet and caring and they look after you as if you are part of their family. Asa, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with and he clearly has a top notch team at Casa Vista Verde. Thanks for making our stay so memorable and we can't wait to return in the future!

Amazing and perfect

Exceeded Expectations

Asa's property is like having your own private resort with the wave runner, boats, kayaks, golf cart, private beach, staff, chef, access to a driver and more. And if you need something else the staff are super attentive so they will get it for you ASAP. The views from the home are exceptional and the nice ocean breeze helps to keep the grounds and house very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house and would definitely return. The house is located away from all the cruise ship passengers which we appreciated and because Josslyn was such a great cook we chose to eat most meals at the house. Ana helped us plan an excursion to Pigeon Cay for great snorkeling and we also did some scuba diving which was awesome. The islands proximity to the reef is a huge bonus. Sayda, Neptali and Hector were also great hosts and were very friendly and professional. We were traveling with our four daughters between 9 - 14 years old and they really enjoyed the vacation and exploring the spacious grounds via golf cart. Asa definitely takes pride in his house and runs this like a business so everything is handled very professionally unlike others who rent their homes as a hobby. We also thought the total package was a good value compared to other options in the Caribbean. The house is in a relatively remote location so if you want a lot of dining or nightlife options every day it may not be the best choice, but for us we loved the privacy and the food that was prepared for breakfast, lunch and dinner was much better (and less expensive) than eating at a restaurant. The people on Roatan are very friendly and safety was never an issue for us. We would highly recommend Roatan and if you go - Asa's house is the place to stay.

Most Amazing Week at Casa Vista Verde

Our family had an amazing stay at Casa Vista Verde, and highly recommend it. The house and property are stunning! Whether you want to hang by the pool and hot tub, or head down to the beach front for some volleyball or relaxing, you can do it all here! The staff made our stay even more enjoyable, and they prepared some truly amazing meals during our vacation. It was very tough to leave! The house has all the amenities you'll need for a great stay. Bedrooms have private bathrooms and their own AC units, for your comfort at night. We had a blast using the golf cart to tour the property and sometimes saving us the short trip down the steps to the beach. Most nights we relaxed in the pool and hot tub enjoying the star-filled sky over head. One of the nights, the island lost power, but the generator at the house kicked on immediately and we didn't have any troubles. Property also comes equipped with jet skis and 4 kayaks that we put to great use. From the house, you can see the barrier reef, and we kayaked out to it on multiple occasions for some truly amazing snorkeling. It's only about a 20 minute kayak from the house, and you can drop anchor and spend hours enjoying the beautiful snorkeling right in front of the beach. Be sure to check out the deep water channels on both sides for some more amazing sights. We saw two spotted eagle rays, numerous stingrays, moray eel, tons of beautiful coral and fish, crabs, etc. Hard to beat that underwater scenery right out your front door, and the house had extra fins and snorkel gear too. Overall, it was a week filled with fun and relaxation, and wonderful to come back to Casa Vista Verde and the great staff each day. Would absolutely come back here again - Thank you!
