Dancing Trees Guest Suite

Welcome to our cozy, 1-bedroom, newly updated 700 sq ft coach house. Each room in the suite looks over lush garden and forest views. There is a large private patio with table and chairs overlooking the garden. Hardwood flooring throughout the suite, base heaters and electric fireplace warm the space immediately. Our large kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, utensils and appliances you could need and some basic spices, cooking oil and condiments. The full fridge and freezer is great to accomodate a full grocery shop and the breakfast bar is located beside the kitchen. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and 3 dressers for storage, while the designer futon in the living area can sleep 2 extra guests. A 4-piece bathroom with soaker tub is a nice treat as well as child friendly amenities available by request. Most importantly our own loving touch and local art has been added to this very special space.

Pleasant place nicely located

The place is clean, well organized and located in a very pleasant area. The owners are really taking care of their guests and are a very nice family. The few toys left for our daughter were really appreciated. Just to mention it, there is only 1 bedroom, the other is the living room where the couch can be converted into bed. The place is actually in the backyard that you can share with the host familly (our daughter made a friend here :) )

Close to everything, town & beaches. Quiet and serene, very comfortable and very clean. Well stocked kitchen including coffee, spices and also linens and bath toiletries (body wash, shampoo, etc.). Pleasantly decorated and felt cozy. Would definitely stay there again. Big plus is that we could bring our two (medium & large-sized dogs along!

Our host was friendly and quick to respond to our questions/requests. The house is clean, & the kitchen has all cooking equipment/utensils you could need. (Not always the case in some rental places). I would definitely stay here again.

The rental unit itself and location were quite good. But I would recommend that you upgrade the towels (very rough feeling) and include a bigger blanket for the couch. These are small; issues that would be easy to resolve.They would be much appreciated by future guests.

Great little hideaway and very close to all the golf in Comox and Campbell River. The location was very clean and a very well stocked kitchen for cooking.

We loved this quaint property.

We were in town for a few days to visit friends who lived nearby. The unit was well equipped, clean and quiet. It was set in a beautiful wooded area. We would definitely go back to this place.

Nice set of rooms above a studio in quiet semi-rural area but close enough to comox to get supplies as needed. Very well equipped kitchenand comfortable bedroom/loving room. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We recommend this!

Great stay

I enjoyed this beautiful unit. It had everything you need. It's very private, yet if you need anything Michele & Cam are there. I loved sitting on the little deck surrounded by big trees. Perfect for me. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Merv is pretty cute, too.

Love Dancing Trees

I've stayed at Dancing Trees several times over the past 3 years and really appreciate Cam's communication, the excellent location, and the comfort of this suite. Challenging with getting running water due to a waterline break and missed the lights guiding us at night to the property which we likely moved aside to make way for earth movers. We had a hard time regulating the heating system this visit - maybe because it was cold out. Instruction in the guest manual would be great. And it's time to get a new kitchen garbage bag holder.

Comfortable but no pets on furniture policy

We really enjoyed our stay - we didn’t see our hosts much but when we did they were very friendly. The place is great! Clean, spacious and has pretty much everything you need. They even have a guest guide with places to check out and their pet-friendly rating! (Thanks!) The ceiling slopes come down pretty low, so tall people watch your head when sitting on the couch. I do have one criticism - upon arrival we were informed that the pets are not allowed on the bed and couch, which was not advertised ahead of time. So we found ourselves retraining our dogs about their ability to join us on the couch and bed, which they have access to at home. Luckily we had their portable dog bed, so the transition was a bit more manageable. Would recommend/ would come back!

Comox Overnight Stay

This property was perfect for an overnight stay before an early morning flight out of Comox. Quiet, comfortable and convenient, with a fully equipped kitchen, and very easy self check-in and check-out. The owners have done a nice job making this basic suite look look and feel welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed a simple evening meal watching television in the comfortable living space, and had a good night's sleep in the cozy bedroom.

Charming & relaxing forested setting at a very good price

Our family coordinated a family vacation in the Comox Valley, and the main vacation rental accommodation could only accommodate six people, so I stayed in this charming vacation rental, located in a relaxing and secluded forested location. The name of the rental, Dancing Trees, says it all. Check-in process was super efficient, hosts were very friendly and accommodating, but also hands off, only interacting as needed. Nice, hardwood flooring, and it contains a living space, separate bedroom, and kitchen & dining area above the garage. You also have access to garbage & recycling and laundry area on the main floor of the garage (which I didn't use). Very clean; the provided Keurig K-cups and toiletries, towels, etc., were greatly appreciated. A couple minor repairs needed, but other than that, a great space at an affordable price. Would stay again!

Our private guest suite is separate from our house, in a carriage suite above our detached garage. Surrounded by pine and cedar trees, as well as many other lush plants we’ve added to our gardens, we are sure you will feel like you are on a relaxing forest get-away in our little oasis!
