WATER & RECREATION NOTES
River depth ranges from 3 feet near the dock to over 10 feet mid-channel.

Water level is carefully managed to maintain a required minimum flow, regardless of rainfall, making it ideal for kayaking and fishing year-round.

Warmer months bring the arrival of floating button moss, which collects at the surface and along the water’s edge. Still safe to swim but less enjoyable for some.

- Bunk area: 2 twin bunk beds (open, no door)

IMPORTANT DETAILS
Tiny home water heater is small. Short showers work best, with time to refill between showers. Outdoor tankless shower available.

Outdoor spaces, fire pit, and riverfront are shared with one other tiny home (Loft House), but each home has a separate porch, grill, outdoor dining and hammocks. Please note, boat lift is for owner use only.

We utilize professional pest control on a regular schedule, but this does not guarantee a pest-free visit, inside or out. Because we're in the country and near water, you may encounter various wildlife and insects.

We do our best to schedule our lawn service when the property is empty. Sometimes we are unable to coordinate this, and the lawn crew may be present for a few hours during your stay.

We live locally and also have local maintenance and housekeeping for needs that may arise.

We enjoyed our stay at the bunkhouse. It was just right for 4 of us, the kids really liked the bunkbeds. The best part was waking up early & enjoying coffee on the upper deck looking out over the water and sitting up there in the late evening with a drink.

Such a cute and peaceful place. The kids loved the convenience of the water and the lily pad!

Just a few miles from town and a 25/30 min drive to New Braunsfels/ Gruene. We had such a fun time with plenty of things to do. The property is so cute and had great amenities. Will for sure rent this place again.

Beautiful location

Evenings by the fire, mornings over the river! Stunning location. The small hot water heater should be listed in the rental information, however the outdoor shower was awesome!

Riverside tranquility

This was such a great little spot on the river. Well kitted out with almost everything we needed and the labeling system was super helpful. It was clean and comfortable too. I was surprised with how few mosquitoes there were for being so close to the water and in May. Town is a quick drive away should you need anything. We had a wonderful time!

Couldn’t have asked for a better first vacation rental experience! The accommodations were perfect for what we were wanting. The scenery was beautiful and I really appreciated the thoroughness of the hosts. Everything in the house was labeled, check in/out instructions were clear and easy, and the price was appropriate.

What a beautiful weekend get away at meadow creek retreat! Laura’s home was beautiful & clean. She goes above and beyond to make her guests feel like they are at home while away from home. Peaceful girls trip

My daughter and I booked the Bunk house for a week visit with friends who just had a baby Wanted to find a place where the new mom and dad could relax and enjoy some time with us. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets eating dinner outside each night, enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks and spent the days swimming and using the kayaks. The hosts are very easy to contact but really not needed as they have everything covered, even down to labeling the light switches and all of the kitchen cabinets, an added touch I very much appreciated

We will be back!

Everything was great! The amenities provided, the location, everything was wonderful. Loved that they provide life jackets of all sizes and kayaks. Each of my daughters (age 10 and 7) were able to kayak. Making smores with our weekend neighbors was a special treat. We could lay on the hammocks all day if we could! Laura was so friendly and such a great host!

AWESOME, Tranquil Experience!

First off, this tiny home is SO nice inside, and the property was absolutely pristine. Everything is labeled, and a lot of supplies are provided (k-cups / first aid kit / basic cooking ingredients) - added bonus! The setting is just beautiful - upper deck is so nice to look out over the water. My kids loved the hanging swings and hammock (and so did I). More than anything, Laura is the best host I've ever encountered! Super fast and thorough responses, truly cares about your experience, and so friendly! HIGHLY recommend this place!

Great Fun at Meadow Lake

Our stay in the bunk house on Meadow Lake was so fun! We enjoyed the tiny home that has all the amenities of home. We kayaked, paddle boarded and floated in the lake. All of the trees provided lots of shade and there were so many places to sit and enjoy all the sounds of nature. The covered patio was a perfect place to sit and play cards or read a book. The green lights in the lake at night attracted all kinds of fish. We will definitely take our fishing poles next time. This place was a great get away spot and we will be returning!

Lovely place to celebrate spring

What a lovely place to celebrate spring! Magnificent trees on the property, home of a diverse wildlife... we observed flamboyant green lizards 🩎, couples of cardinals, falcons... and a owl was singing while we were enjoying a fire. We used all the equipments provided for the water fun đŸ„â€â™‚ïž The Guadalupe River is quite nice and already warm enough to enjoy a swim. The water currents makes kayaking a great exercise! Great relaxing on each and any of the many patio, dock and decks... great outdoors! Very well furnished and confortable place to stay at ! Laura always communicated well, such a lovely and caring person!

Absolute gem

Absolute gem of a place! Everything was perfect. Staying right on the river was incredible. Super easy to get in and out with their new dock. The outdoor kitchen and common area with hammocks was a really nice touch. Breathtaking views and sunsets. Everything was organized and labelled really clearly. Plenty of plates/mugs/pots/etc. The host, Laura was really nice and helpful. Will definitely be booking again. Even though there is another tiny home on the property, there are lots of spots in the common area and docks to eat and relax, so there was never any worry of being in each other's way or space.

Wear and tear

The host was worried about wear and tear, but not until we were already staying at the property. She notified me via text message one morning while already checked in, that the second part of my reservation with her at another property of hers would not work due to me having a party of 4/5. She stated that the wear and tear from having a family of 4/5 would not work for her. The place was very dirty on arrival. If you don't like security cameras stay away. There are cameras everywhere, makes it very uncomfortable to enjoy yourself.

Now I manage our properties full-time, which lets me spend more time with our growing family—and share this little slice of lake life with guests like you. It’s truly our favorite place to unwind, and we hope it becomes one of yours too!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love this place because it's quiet, near the end of a dead end country road with cows and lots of stars. But it's still super convenient (within 5 miles) to many things like Walmart and HEB.
