STUNNING LAKEFRONT RETREAT! Beautiful Lake Antioch. Beautiful large kitchen / gathering area equipped with stainless appliances, granite counter tops and cherry cabinets. Watch beautiful sunsets from your spacious 20×40 deck with luxurious resort style furniture. Enjoy the private beach area and pier, two Kayaks and a paddleboat. You'll have outstanding fishing and swimming. Walking distance to town and the best restaurants and bars, live music and concerts in the park. Winter months offer the best ice fishing around, snowmobiling, and Wilmot/Vail ski resort only 15 min drive. 4500 sq ft.

This home lacks for nothing. Six + seat lower level bar, (former bar from the world famous Cubby Bear in Chicago), full size Brunswick pool table, 50 inch TV, full size fridge, dishwasher, full bathroom and plenty of seating and gathering room.
The main floor boasts a wide open floor plan with a 55 inch TV, stone gas fireplace, plenty of seating, dining room that seats 8, large granite kitchen counters, and a wetbar. There's also a beautiful four season sun room with floor to ceiling windows/sliding doors that can be opened up to give the room an open porch feel. There's a giant foyer entrance, a powder room and a large mud room where shoes and coats and gear can be kept. There's also a spacious laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.
Upstairs are four roomy bedrooms and two full baths. The master suite has large windows with lake views, a stone gas fireplace, a 40 inch TV, and a large bathroom with double sinks and huge walk in shower! Two of the other three bedrooms have magnificent lake views. The third full bathroom has double sinks also.
The lower level has a beautiful bar that includes a full size fridge, dishwasher, sink and tons of bar space, counter space, cabinets and a great view of the lake. There's also a full size Brunswick pool table, Couches, 50'' TV, day bed that sleeps two and a full bath!
In the warmer months there is a pier on beautiful Lake Antioch with cozy adirondack chairs perfect for fishing, or enjoying a cold beer or glass of wine. The new firepit is great for evening gatherings.
The huge 20x40 deck has a spectacular view over the lake and is perfect for relaxing outside or even hosting a game of corn hole!

Family Getaway

This property is beautiful!!! Very spacious and plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms are all great sizes with room for pack n plays. Beautiful view of the lake! The kitchen was very stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware and your basic cooking needs.

Antioch Was Fun

We had a great time at your property - - the 3 stories was great for hide-and-seek with the family. The guys did some ice fishing and the Gurnee mall is very close and the ladies enjoyed that. It was close to town with late-night car noise, but otherwise a great time.

Best fall weekend getaway

3 families stayed here comfortably (all of us has kids too). The pictures do not do this place justice! Waking up and having coffee overlooking the lake… late nights playing pool. Comfortable beds. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip and will be coming back for sure!

Peaceful,Spectacular house on Beautiful Lake

This was an amazing property! We kept commenting how the house was so well designed to fully appreciate the beautiful lake. It was amazing! The living room, sun room, kitchen and dining room all took advantage of fantastic views. Though in a neighborhood, we felt like it was in the country. Everything was wonderful - from the beds to the space, to the views, to the quiet setting. Couldn't have been better!

Nice Weekend Getaway

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend in. The house was very clean and we really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen water had a strong septic smell when turned on but otherwise everything was great.

Great Stay at Chain of Lakes

We had a family wedding in town and this house was perfect to accommodate a couple of our out of town families. The location was perfect and very close to one of the Marina's where our boat was docked. The large deck was also a nice feature to be able to sit outside with all our family. The home is beautiful. Everything was clean and modern. There were at least 10 of us and there was no problem with the wi-fi. George was a great host. He was accessible, friendly and helpful. Everyone was happy from the 7 year old to the 75 year old. We went in May and even caught a fish.

Spacious with great views

The property had a great view of the lake with amazing sunsets over the water. Great to sit out on the deck or play games on the lawn. Enjoyed the ample amount of indoor space, game room that walked outside, and wonderful fire pit. Good for kayaking but bring water shoes. Wouldn’t consider this a “jump in the water and swim” lake but was great for water vessels from the dock.

Oh-my-God-Awesome!!

This was the absolutely perfect place to stay for my family to celebrate my son's wedding. It was a place that provided more than enough space for us to live and hang out with one another for the weekend and have a few extra relatives for the day to visit as well. George was super to work with and really accommodating to any special requests or information I needed. Quiet and peaceful setting, comfortable beds, beautiful floorplan, and fantastic kitchen with everything you could need. Really fantastic place and so thankful to have the opportunity to stay here for the weekend. Many thanks!

Family Vacation

Great stay for our family vacation over 4th of July week! Pros are there was plenty of activities and space for kids and adults to enjoy. Fishing, paddle boats, kayaks, and more! Lake had limited boat traffic which made all these activities more enjoyable. Downside is there was no dock during first day of our stay, day two someone came and quickly installed the dock. Septic smell also made it less enjoyable to hang out on the deck, smell was prevalent and consistent during entire stay. Hosts were very responsive and communicative though unable to mitigate the septic smell. Overall great experience and would consider booking again in the future!

Cockroaches and safety issues

The biggest concern with this property is that there is a large cockroach infestation. We saw live cockroaches in the kitchen sink drains, on the countertops, cupboards, drawers, dishwasher etc. There were cockroach traps in upstairs bedrooms. I contacted owner immediately with my concerns of uncleanliness and asked if they had cockroaches. He said he was unavailable and did not comment on the cockroach infestation until we shared that we were unable to stay due to infestation and safety concerns. He then shared that he was aware a previous guest had brought in cockroaches. In addition to the cockroaches, the house had not been cleaned before we arrived. The refrigerator was very dirty, floors were sticky and had food crumbs and dirt, rugs and carpets had not been vacuumed, etc. Throughout the property there were also multiple safety concerns a few of them are: 1. The deck railing was coming apart in corners; multiple spindles were missing from railing leaving a large gap where child or dog could fall through; Multiple floor boards on stairs and deck moved when stepped on 2. Handles on patio doors in kitchen and sunroom were broken and missing the handle to open door. 3. The only smoke detector on main level was missing. It was hardwired so appeared to be intentionally removed. I would not recommend anyone stay at this property.

We designed this home and raised our children here. We love it. These days we spend a lot of time in Florida and that's why we put this home on VRBO. We think you'll love it. It's big and open and great for entertaining. You'll find that there are a lot of spots to relax. The area is packed with things to do. Many within walking distance. We hope you enjoy our home!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The beautiful view of the lake is only the beginning. There's so much to do including: A private beach and pier, two Kayaks, and a paddleboat. Outstanding fishing. Walking distance to town and the best restaurants and bars, live music and concerts in the park. Winter months offer the best ice fishing around along with snowmobiling, and Wilmot/Vail ski resort only a15 minute drive away. 4500 sq feet of living space. The path to the north of the house is about 50 feet long and there is tons of stuff within walking distance. There's a large liquor store, Walgreens, McDonald's, KFC, Taco Bell, Chinese food, Bars, Restaurants, Movie Theater, shopping, Dairy Queen, Dunkin Donuts, and a park with a band shell.
There's tons more only a few minutes away including Walmart, boat rentals for the Chain of Lakes / Fox River and more. Drive four miles and take the ferry to Blarney Island - Key west of the Midwest! They have the best live bands along with food and drink and are open until 2am!
On Lake Antioch, (our lake), the fishing is excellent! The water by our beach is shallow and great for kids. Only electric motors are allowed. The deepest point in the lake is only twelve feet deep so we occasionally have lily pads and seaweed in the water.
