A convenient one-level layout offers living room, dining area, updated full hallway bathroom, den and two bedrooms, including the master suite with its own updated private bathroom. Just steps to Sea Colony's half mile of private beach and oceanfront pools, this resort condominium features a well-equipped remodeled kitchen, including stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and a complete complement of utensils and cookware. Central air conditioning, washer, dryer and more. Accessible without stairs. 3 TVs, 1 Blu-Ray, Wifi.

Great location and view. Cute kid bedrooms and comfortable beds. Place was dirty (dust, hairballs, dirty dishwasher etc) and a bit outdated.

Nice unit, nice view, easy place to relax. A few minor quibbles (floor a little sandy in spots, couch getting old, Wi-Fi issues on balcony) but definitely a positive stay (updated appliances, well furnished, clean, nice flow & decor).

We were looking for a nice quiet beach area and found it at Sea Colony.

We were looking for a nice quiet beach area and found it at Sea Colony. This condo had a perfect view and nicely decorated and furnished. Restaurants very close within walking distance or a short drive to Bethany’s main area. We look forward to stay again in the future.

This unit was very nice and had everything we needed. Beautiful view. The only problem we had was that the ac unit was VERY loud and took some getting used to.

The condo is generally comfortable; and the unobstructed ocean views are a bonus. The updated kitchen is well equipped and has plenty of space for the guests’ food. A refrigerator with a water and ice dispenser would be a nice addition.

The refrigerator/freezer was wonderful after we cleaned it. It kept everything nice and cold. However, 3 little ice cube trays just didn’t cut it. The showers were both very nice.

Terrific place looking at the ocean

It was a dark and stormy weekend... but we still loved our time at Sea Colony. This unit has a terrific view of the ocean even when it is raining. The unit was clean and well-equipped. We did have some issues connecting to the internet, but that was eventually resolved. We'd gladly stay here again!

Wonderful experience

I was nervous when I booked this without any reviews posted. Our family of 4 had plenty of space to get comfortable in this modern condo. The location on the beach was wonderful. We visited the week after Labor Day hoping to avoid the crowds given the pandemic. Our timing was great but many of the stores and restaurants were closed. Also there were no beach chair and umbrella rentals available. The unit was clean, well decorated and updated. The dining room set was scuffed up and there was no warm water in one of the showers. I’m pretty picky but everything else was nice. We would stay here again for the incredible views alone.

Great location/amenities. Could use cleaning/better linens/guest service for the price.

PROS: Proximity to the beach, many pools available, tennis courts, location in general. CONS: The unit smelled pretty bad if the AC temp got up above 70. Not sure if it had to do with the age of the units or the cleanliness (likely both). The condo balcony was in desperate need of cleaning. I find it funny how we paid a premium price and are charged for cleaning. The linens were very rough. We also had a bad experinece with the VACASA AI text bot that initially sent us confirmations and info about accessing the unit. When we inquired about how to reserve a tennis court, the AI bot provided information about a resort in North Carolina (without saying it was NC) that we were on a wild goose chase for a few hours trying to get to the correct information. Just know to doubt the info provided via VACASA texts. Bottom line: the amentities and location are great, especially if you have kids, but I would expect the unit to be better cleaned and more comfortable for the price charged.

Would definitely rent again!

In w30+ years of renting at Sea Colony, this was one of our favorite units. The view is unobstructed and spectacular, the Harbor pool is gloriously less crowded, and the covered parking spot right next to the elevator felt like winning the vacation lottery. Despite the proximity to the elevator, we didn’t hear any hallway loitering or wobbly cart roll-bys. Yes, the A/C unit is loud, but our kids slept right through it. (If you’re noise-sensitive, the primary bedroom is noticeably quieter.) The bedroom with the single twin was an unexpected lifesaver. After spending all day together at the beach and pool, our 9- and 10-year-old desperately needed some space, and this room delivered without having to bump up to a full 3 bedroom. The only real downside was the lack of WiFi on the balcony, which was frustrating. The view of the pool made it easy to keep an eye on the kids while trying to get some work done, but that’s where the spotty connection became noticeable. If you’re planning to mix a little remote work with your beach time, just know you’ll probably need to head inside for a reliable signal. The unit was clean, comfortable, and impressively well-stocked. Unlike many Sea Colony rentals, this one had tons of room for clothes, beach gear, and general family chaos. It easily fit our family of four with room to spare.

Disappointing

This was our second year staying at this unit. We were very disappointed in the conditions upon arrival. Very poorly cleaned and the more we looked around the more things we found that were unacceptable. TV cords ripped out, couldn’t even watch it the day of arrival. Master bed had stains all over bed spread and bathroom looked like it hadn’t even been cleaned. These issue we saw immediately were reported the day of arrival. We were told they would be addressed in the next 24 hours. We called the next morning to get these issues addressed immediately. I will have to say I found the response to be unprofessional to say the least. To summarize, when you pay thousands of dollars for a vacation you should not have to deal with multiple issues and uncleanliness. To the owner of this unit, if you are relying on a service to be provided in keeping your place clean and in tact it’s not being done. There was no offer of any compensation for our troubles and disturbance to our vacation time. We will not be staying in this unit again and would not recommend anyone else to either. To much money for a “cheap motel” feel.

Disappointed in lack of cleanliness

Agree that this unit provides a wonderful view however, we had many issues related to lack of cleanliness in this unit. All have been communicated and hopefully will be addressed for the next guests. Also, the lack of amenities available during this week but being charged high season weekly fees is unacceptable. Finally, lack of ability to socially distance in the one pool that was open given COVID is also a disappointment.

505 Harbor House Top Notch!

What a wonderful trip with the family. We felt like we were at home. Very nicely decorated and modern. The location and view is amazing. If I had to find one issue about the unit it is small. The master bathroom shower does not have hot water. Seems to be a plumbing issue. Bathrooms are gorgeous as pictured. We plan to visit 505 Harbor House many more times! Thank you for hosting such a nice, clean, family friendly place! Loved it!

Sea Colony Bethany Beach

This was a nice overall property although some things were not yet open due to early season. The room and view were very nice. I feel Bethany Beach is a great central location for the Delaware shoreline. The only thing about this particular unit was the shower water was only hot and hotter.

Updated condo, fantastic view, uncomfortable bed

Great location with gorgeous views! The property was updated and clean. Kitchen was well-stocked. WiFi worked well for my kids who had to do virtual school. Only complaints were that the hot water didn’t work in the master bath shower (we just used the hall shower instead) and the bed in the master bedroom was really hard and uncomfortable (we ended up buying a mattress topper to use while we were there, which helped a lot). Overall, this was a nice place and we would definitely stay here again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent Sea Colony visit. We are so happy to hear that you found the condo to be cleaned, updated and the kitchen well stocked. We apologize that you had difficulty with the shower. We did check it and there was hot water but we did learn it can be a little tricky to operate. We will follow up and perhaps leave more detailed instructions. Thank you again for taking the time to share your recent experience. We do hope we get to see you again soon for another visit.
