We (2 adults) and our two (5yr old) kids stayed with Lyndell over the 4th of July long weekend. Our host was kind, helpful and friendly, and the cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!
The Cottage was the perect spot for our weekend away, it was spotles, well apointed and close to plenty of things to do. The property was quiet and peaceful and our hosts were really lovely!
Comfortable cottage with helpful host 5 minute walk from centre of town
I stayed with my 2 year old daughter for 3 nights. Location is close to my oldest daughterâs boarding school. Lyndall was a wonderful host. The cottage was very comfortable and the light and views of the trees from both the living room and bedroom windows was lovely. We enjoyed sitting in the living room particularly, where my daughter played with her toys and watched TV. Although kitchen is old, it was clean and had everything we needed. I liked that the cottage is set at the back of the property, well away from the Main Street, with plenty of space between the main house and the cottage too. Communication with Lyndall was easy. She was very helpful sourcing a babysitter at late notice for 2 different days for us, for which Iâm very grateful. She also met my last minute request for a late checkout which was most helpful. Would definitely stay again.
The grounds and location provided great access to the best the area had to offer (hiking, fishing, golfing and relaxation) while the house was a home away from home. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a getaway in NW Connecticut.
We stayed 2 nights while attending a wedding in Salisbury. This cozy cottage was perfect for our stay. The home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and our communication with the hosts was top notch. It is located close to local shops and dining, and we were also able to do a bit of hiking on the Appalachian Trail while there. We will definitely plan to stay here again next time we are in the area.
A charming retreat in beautiful countryside convenient to small town offering all your needs. Very helpful owner on property. Area near multiple activities for sports and the arts.
