Octoberfest at Bay Lake

Beautiful house and amazing setting on bay lake. The house had everything you could need and more. We went up for Octoberfest and picked the most perfect place to stay. I will be back and would love to stay here again. The property manager was wonderful and very responsive and accommodating

Bay Lake retreat

Oh my. Where to begin? This cabin is exceptional in all regards. It's beautifully maintained, well organized and stocked and the host/owner, John, is readily available and communicative. Our entire family stayed here for my dad's birthday, which also coincided with Labor Day wknd. John was accommodating in allowing us to check in a smidge early to decorate, and offered help as well. I've never stayed at a property that was so well supplied: there were so many towels!, which sounds trivial, but was great because we had a lot of people with us and didn't have to consistently do laundry. It's a short drive to town, and there's a list of different things to do and restaurants if you want to leave the property. We parked a family member's fishing boat at our private dock for the wknd and there's a small shoreline for kiddos to play on as well. It's a spectacular rental and I hope to be back!

Our stay at Bay Lake

Property and amenities were exactly what we expected based on pictures and description. They were clean and well taken care of. John was a great host. Quick to answer questions and made sure our stay was great. Would 100% recommend staying at this lake home to friends and family.

Fantastic Family Vacation

Cabin was perfect for our family! Kitchen has every thing you need for preparing meals. Very quiet area of the lake and a 5 minute boat ride to Rutgers if you want a restaurant or happy hour. We had a wonderful time!

EXCELLENT FOR THE 4th TIME!!!!!

This is our 4th time staying with John at this cabin. The cabin is always clean and has everything we need! We have never been disappointed and will continue to come back. Winter weekend

We stayed during very cold weekend, but found the Bay Lake home to be just what we needed with two fireplaces and a sauna! There are multiple spaces to stretch out and enjoy. We played pool, cards, watched tv, took a sauna in below zero weather too! We enjoyed the beautiful well appointed kitchen, there was plenty of room for dining as well. One of our favorite properties yet!

Annual Old Crony Golf Outing

This property is fabulous. Beautiful inside and out. It is exactly like the photos. We have been gathering in the fall for many years and this home moves to the top of the list. The provided accoutrements, especially in the kitchen, is incomparable to any place we have previously stayed. Bay Lake is a magnificent body of water and the frosting on the cake!

Bay Lake Vacay!

This was our second year vacationing at this home. It’s great for our family and it’s a really fun place to be! We fished, swam, enjoyed Paul Bunyan land and Pirates Cove mini golf to name a few activities. The kitchen is fun to cook in and the deck and patio are perfect places to relax. We really thank John and Matt for making this special available for us!

Awesome Vacation

Awesome clean house with great amenities. Great dock and beach area. Convenient boat launch location. Very quiet and close to grocery stores and gas for the boats. John and Matt were always accessible and responded to all of our questions immediately. We would highly recommend this house.

Beautiful lake front house with all the extras

We enjoyed our stay so much. Our host made everything easy - available for anything but gave us our privacy. We rented a boat for fishing and enjoyed eating out at Lonesome Pine. The house had everything you could need including firewood for a bonfire. Be aware that loft area looks over master bedroom. Not a problem for us but may need to know for privacy. Everything was very comfortable and very clean.

Great stay on Bay Lake

Wonderful Family Reunion

This beautiful lake home exceeded expectations. Extremely clean, maintained, incedibly well stocked, great amenities, and a friendly attentive host! Our week flew by with so many things to enjoy nearby. Golfing & happy hour at Ruttgers, mountain bike riding in Cuyuna, great fishing on Bay Lake and hanging out at the property with the relatives made for an awesome stay. We rented a pontoon boat from Bay Lake Marine located right next door. The boat was in excellent shape and great value. Love to stay longer at this perfect Bay Lake property on our next visit to Bay Lake!

Summer Fun

The house and location were really great! Our young grandchildren really enjoyed swimming, fishing, the camp fires and the ability to play with their cousins. The adults enjoyed the area as we were able to take the kids to Paul Bunyan Land and mini golf for some fun afternoons. It was a great family week at a great location!

Summer getaway

We had another fantastic week this year on BayLake. We have a large family and this house is perfect for both group activities, meal and yet plenty of space for quiet and solitude. It is very well maintained, very clean and the daily drop off of wood for the fire pit is a the added cherry. We will return! Fantastic

Amazing week at Bay Lake

Wonderful cabin on one of our favorite lakes. Lots of room for everyone and everything you need for the week. Enjoyed family time, the sandy beach, bonfires, indoor and outdoor games, water sports and fishing. John is a great host. Looking forward to our visit next year.

Excellent!!!!!

This is our second time coming to what our middle child calls “The Rock House” due to all of the stone on that back of the house. Over the years we have been to numerous cabins and resorts around MN and this by far has been our favorite. The home is immaculate, with plenty of room and amenities for everyone. We bring a couple of boats and there is plenty of room on the dock. The kids fished off the dock every day and caught dozens of fish. The lake is great and we LOVE going to Lonesome Pine by boat. The food is always excellent. John is a wonderful host. He responded quickly to any questions we had and is always friendly! We will definitely be back! Thank you John and Matt for another great trip!
