The sound of birds chirping in the forest canopy will greet your day, and the sound of katydids singing their melodies on late summer evenings will end it at Cabin #3 at Wilderness Creek Retreat. Like all of our cabins, this two-bedroom, one-bath cabin includes a covered wrap-around porch so that you can enjoy the sound of the creek out back and the wildlife that venture onto the property from the surrounding forest.
Inside, there is a full-size bed in the bedroom, making this the perfect cabin for families with children.
The kitchen is fully-furnished. All linens and towels are provided. In addition to central heat and air, there is a gas fireplace for winter ambience. Satellite TV is also available.
Outside, the wrap-around deck has furniture to enjoy the outdoors. There is a picnic table, fire pit and park-style charcoal grill. Williams Creek Retreat includes a large gazebo â perfect for family reunions and other gatherings â on the bank of a small pond.
This is my first time using Vrbo, and I may not completely understand how it works. As near as I can tell, there is no way to contact the property owner. I would have preferred to communicate with her directly rather than leave a public review. But since that does not seem possible, here goes. The cabin is very nice and in a great neighborhood. However, the key pad did not work, and we could not get into the cabin. The owner's nephew was in a neighboring cabin, and he called his aunt who promptly came and gave us a physical key. But since this was a known problem (she said she'd been having trouble with it), it should have been fixed prior to our arrival. What if the nephew had not been there? I asked how to contact her if we had other issues. She said her number was on the fridge. It wasn't. Once we settled in, we discovered the toilet runs and is very noisy. Overall, the cabin was pretty clean but the kitchen was not. The microwave had not been touched, and we found dirty dishes in the cupboard. Like totally dirty, not just a smudge or something. The floor in front of the fridge was sticky as was the coffee table in the LR. The front walk was covered in leaves. We found a broom and swept it, but it would have been nice if the owner had done it. But the beds were extremely comfortable, the heat worked great, the wifi was outstanding, and the setting was lovely. The pricing is deceptive because there are cleaning fees and service fees added. Maybe that's just how Vrbo works.
We would perfer queen beds as these were a little small. Also a fireplace lighter in the cabin would of help out a lot. We love sitting around a camp fire at night but unfortunately we had no way to start a fire.
We come to Oneida every Fatherâs Day weekend to decorate the family cemetery and have a memorial service. Weâve stayed at numerous places over the years and I sure wish I would have discovered these cabins along time ago! They are so nice and cute and the perfect location. Close to the cemetery and Oneida and Big Southfork national forest. Weâve stayed here twice and looking forward to next time.
My family of 4 and I stayed in the cozy cottage and it was wonderful. We also had family staying in the cottage next door so it was fun running back and forth to borrow eggs! We've stayed in this area before and have always had a wonderful visit. It is close to our family in Oneida and makes for a convenient Thanksgiving.
We love the property inside and out. The location was great. We stay to regenerate ourselfs. The owner was wonderful to work with. We will be staying again.
The cabin was nice, the floors were not clean. It was advertised as 2 BR 2 bath but clearly only had 1 bathroom. We liked everything else and had a nice time and slept well.
It was a nice quiet getaway for my husband and I. You could see the living room through the sheetrock in one of the bedrooms, the bathroom door doesn't close completely and bring extra toilet paper đ. Overall it was perfect for my husband and I.
