Beautiful views, Great location, This unit needs an Inspection
First off we arrived at Thousand Hills Clubhouse to check in, and after a 10 hour drive from Minnesota, I’m told that our unit at The Majestic might not be ready because of a toilet issue. We were asked if we could wait until they could verify the issue had been resolved. We decided to just go to the unit and get unpacked, while driving to the unit they called me to let me know the toilet issue was fixed. Great News !! We were ready to start our vacation. The next morning I get up and try to make coffee, but the coffee maker won’t turn on… no matter how hard I try to flip the switch on the pot it will not budge. So I move the coffee maker to the island and try plugging it into a different outlet, the very second I put the plug into the receptacle, sparks fly everywhere and actually blow the on off switch right out of the pot !! In desperation I drove back into Branson and bought a new coffee maker. Here are a few more issues we experienced in this unit. Kitchen sink on right hand side would not drain, and the garbage disposal did not work. We discovered broken glass in the kitchen and in the carpet next to the kitchen.. more broken glass in the master bathroom. There are two wall clocks in this unit and neither of them work, and yes we tried new batteries. We have stayed in many VRBO units previously, this is the only one that didn’t even have a salt and pepper shaker. No tin foil, no Saran Wrap, not even a single baggie. The unit, the location and the view are 5 stars.
