Richard: I make it clear on my listing that the hallways do not have ac. They are open to the air, therefore they cannot have ac. This 2-star rating is coming from a person who could not even communicate through the platform. Your wife called me on my personal phone, and she had to write all the instructions by hand, over the phone. I understand your both are elderly, but I had to go out of way to make sure your trip and stay were easy to navigate. For that you gave me a 2 star. You could not consider the work I had to go through to make sure you and your wife were ok and got all the information. I do not have control over the hallways or the elevators. I only have control over my unit and the way I treat my guest. Then not to mention that you left a message on my phone that you could not find the parking pass. It was sitting in the unit, easy to see. I called over 4 times to make sure everything was ok, and you did not answer the phone or call me back. By the way all this and could even text because you both have flip phones. Best if you do not rent on a platform since you cannot use it or navigate it. Not to mention that you cannot communicate.

Ronald you are a liar! You are the one who attempted to scam me. You rented my unit then once you were there you for whatever reason decided to leave. I did not offer you a refund. You are just trying to make me look bad because you could not get your way. My unit is nice and super clean. I go out of my way to work with my guest and be fair. I get that some people will do whatever they can to scam. So it be!! Unfortunately, I cannot help people who are being completely unreasonable. It is what it is.

You left a one-star because you felt uncomfortable that I rent my unit on my own and not through the Front Desk. I Have nothing to do with the front desk. I rent on my own just like other owners do. Your discontent was that you (a grown man)! were scared, or as you stated "uncomfortable" doing something wrong because there is meg shift sign in lobbing saying owners have to rent through the front desk. So instead of contacting me, you called VRBO and complained the teenager in the front desk scared you that you were doing something illegal. NOT TRUE. We can rent on our own and many do. So, you threatened me with a charge back (which did not happen). If you had not threatened me, I would most likely would have agreed to refund. But as it went you did not give me an option. So, I refused. You and your wife did all this a day before checking out. The old fly in the soup technique!!! I go out of my way to create a great experience for my guest. Regardless of your Technique to get something for nothing. I do not response well to manipulation, regardless of a one-star review. That damage that you attempt to inflict on is on you. I will continue to provide a great ocean front experience with a great price, super clean and comfy room and one of the best pools and Tiki bar in all of Daytona Beach. With early no cost check in and late check out when possible. A handyman that addresses any issue immediacy and a cleaning professional that also is there right away for extras.
