Welcome to Mountain Momma

This area is truly a great find very nice people very private residential area WITH families and we will expect you to drive and have fun accordingly if you can’t please keep looking.

Private cozy mountain top cabin minutes to the lake, marina, and battle run for swimming or a 10 or 15 minute walk to the lake you can park near access to lake and walk just 1300ft to water Summersville has some monster catfish!!
All brand new inside one king bed one queen bed one bathroom has log fireplace all new appliances all pots pan and expected kitchen items including Keurig.
All linens towels and washcloths provided.
Washer and dryer.
Outside has nice deck patio table gas grill outdoor space for hanging out including mini fridge and stereo with Bluetooth.
Fire pit with wood provided
Beautiful setting completely private tree house feel.
Perfect for romantic getaway small family guest count limited to 4.

Sorry but no pets.

There is no providers for traditional tv however there is internet and Netflix is provided or you can login to your preferred streaming service.

If your planning to bring a boat please ask about off site parking this house is on a dead end road.

This is residential area with children I expect you to drive like YOUR kids play here.

Please note the winter months in WV can be unpredictable an all wheel or 4 wheel drive is a must if there is snow on the ground.

This place was the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. 5 stars are not enough I would have gave it 10 stars. We love our stay. The beds were so comfortable. The outdoor space was remarkable. If we ever make it back to this area again we will diffenently stay here again.Again Kudos to the cleaning crew!!!!

Amazing!!!

I love this place!!! Sooo cute!! Sat outside and read at the table. At night had a bonfire!! Bed was comfy. Everything needed was there. Relaxing hot bath and shower!! Perfect getaway!! Loved the peacefulness of the setting!!

Best Cabin we've ever been to..

This was for our 10th anniversary..great area..nice and quiet..everything in the listing is right on..no surprises..we stayed 3 nights and 4 days..all the stores and shopping are about a 20 minute drive but it was fine.. we bbq and listened to tmusic..it was great..i would recommend this..absolutely.. . Will be staying again in the future..

Awesome Cabin!

We stayed in multiple VRBOs on our trip to the fall National Parks. Mountain Mama was by far the best! Everything was updated, clean and homey cabin feel. Definitely recommend for 2 to 4 people!

House was awesome and very clean. Owner us super nice. Only thing is that they were working on another property and clearing trees everyday fri-monday 7am. Not able to sleep in.

One of the Best

I’ve been renting through VRBO for a lot of years. I would say that this property is among my top three of all those I’ve rented. The bed was super comfortable and had good quality bedding, towels were thick and new, kitchen was well equipped. Johnny responded very quickly to any inquiries. The location of the cabin is superb. It’s at the top of a mountain road and quite secluded. The outdoor deck area has been designed with care. The deck furniture is comfortable and there’s even an outdoor fridge, tv and grill. This place exceeded our expectations and I’d definitely book Mountain Momma again!

The property is exactly what is shown online. We stayed for 5 days and explored alot of the local areas. We could have stayed a few extra days. The house was clean and beautiful. I would recommend an awd or 4wd vehicle esp in the winter. We will be back again someday.

Excellent cabin, very clean.

Very clean, nicely appointed cabin in the woods! Great location to Summerville Lake and Mount Nebo, and the Gorge. Quiet, woodsy setting. Easy to get to, except gravel road to property and drive way can be washed out a little if it rains. A little difficult for a small car to traverse, however not impossible. After the rain, we just parked on top of the hill. Thank you, Johnny, for your hospitality!

Quick Getaway before school started

We really wanted to focus on a restorative, relaxing, serene getaway before the beginning of our school year. This rental was absolutely perfect. It was close enough to attractions that we didn't have to travel too far. Yet, the cabin itself felt so far away from society that we were able to relax and just enjoy eachother and nature. The cabin was amazing. Super clean, well organized and so tastefully decorated. The outside patio and the large family sectional were our favorites.

Wonderful property, listing and all of the reviews are accurate! We enjoyed staying here while visiting the lake with friends that stayed in a sister cabin down the hill. Very close to trails and marina. Clean, equipped with everything you need, definitely will return!

Perfect getaway spot

Clean, uncluttered, and well-equipped, with very comfortable beds. This is one of very few rentals where you can actually walk to the lake (because of the cliffs and parkland) so we greatly appreciated being able to hike down to the water. Would be a little far to carry a kayak or if you had mobility issues but we enjoyed walking down to take a dip every day! Quick drive to public park and launch. Quiet and private even on a holiday. Only thing I would change would be adding a couple of reading lamps in the living room. Hope to return!

We were so pleased with the cabin's cleanliness, decorations, equipment and even though there are neighbors you still have privacy. The deck was the best part for us! We lived sitting out and looking up at the very tall trees and listening to the birds

This property was close to the New River Gorge Bridge, trails, Fayetteville and Summersville Lake and we visited them all. Well appointed cabin and ample outdoor space for your enjoyment.
