Such a wonderful, peaceful getaway - only wish we'd had a longer stay. The property is clearly well-loved by the local owners, and all their touches were so thoughtful and appreciated. The beautiful gardens, the visiting wildlife, the comfort of it all - thank you!
Absolute perfection! The cabin is completely spotless and stocked with everything youâll ever need. The creek is relaxing, you can lay next to it on a hammock with twinkling lights overhead, or sit on the porch next to a fire table. Pure relaxation! The owners have thought of everything. Wonderful experience.
Not far from town, we perfectly enjoyed our stay, which offered a relaxing, peaceful and comfortable cabin setting in the Blue Mountains. The host and hostess are superb. Our activities on and around the property included fishing, hiking, feeding deer, watching humming birds, wild turkeys and even Black Bear. Woke up at dawn daily with morning coffee on the back deck, viewing the tall pines and listening to the rushing stream waters of Mill Creek. Later in the day we enjoyed sitting on the deck enjoying a cold one, After dinner, sometimes intown, we would watch movies or videos available at the cabin. Mountain air, scenic views all considered we had a wonderful stay at a fantastic venue.
We absolutely loved this cabin!! The setting is perfect and the cabin was very welcoming and clean! Kim and Bill helped make our anniversary trip extra special!
Our favorite (one of many) part was us just sitting next to the creek, watching and hearing the wildlife, and of course handing feeding the deer! Great place" just to be...."
Charming, clean, comfortable property in an ideal location for a mountain getaway with easy access to remote nature. Also, reasonable distance from town for dining out and other activities. Owners are friendly and helpful and seem to have thought of every detail; this is the ideal model of how a rental property should be managed and maintained. This was our 3rd visit and looking forward to many more.
This is a wonderful cabin on a beautiful stream. The cabin, the setting, and the hosts were all perfect. We had a great stay and really enjoyed all of the amenities provided. The cabin was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed, and super comfortable. Highly recommend!
Kim and Bill have done an amazing job on this little cabin on the river! There is even a private beach with chairs and umbrellas! So cozy and comfy. One of the best we have stayed at. Donât miss this gem!
My husband and I have stayed in Walla Walla before, in town, but this time we were looking for something a little more removed, but still relatively close to it all. Kim and Billâs cozy cabin by the creek was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of personal touches and so much care for the cabin and itâs guests. I recommend this spot so highly if you are looking to getaway from it all while still being close to it all; we canât wait to return!
Perfect getaway spot for a couple! This is the second time visiting the Red Fox Retreat and we are already planning a third. Kim and Bill provided everything that you needed and didnât know you needed for a wonderful stay. The cottage is cozy and updated. The deer greet you and will eat out of your hand (food provided of course). Donât miss this one if you are traveling to Walla Walla. Or better yet, plan your trip to visit.
We had an amazing weekend at this cute little cabin. The beach and creek was what sold us on this spot and it did not disappoint! Everything was outstanding. We will be back! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
This place is a slice of heaven. Off the beaten path. We relaxed and enjoyed the wildlife and sound of water running by. The house is fully stocked with things we didnât know we needed. Even an anniversary card for us and fresh flowers. This place is a gem.
2nd time staying at property, this experience was even better than the first. The location is a fantastic home base for all kinds of outdoor activities in the area, and close enough to town to be convenient. The property is extremely clean, well-kept, and stocked with amenities and nice touches. Owners friendly and extremely helpful.
In a last minute booking, we found this gem of a property. I would rate it an 11 out of 10. There is nothing that the hosts have not considered and made available for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The property is absolutely gorgeous, nestled in the woods on a stream that sings as the water dances past. Deer and Turkey everywhere! Such a treat!
Beautiful setting, great hosts & neighbors. The cabin has everything you could possibly think of & more!! Far enough away from town but close enough to tour the nearby wineries. The creek, wildlife & landscaping provide a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Really can't think of any improvements. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!
This was one of the best VRBO houses that weâve ever stayed at. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fantastic and was stocked with everything you need. The bed and pillows were great too. So many thoughtful touches outside the house. Stocked with fishing poles, bikes, walking sticks, deer treats, ladder ball, and so many beautiful sitting areas. The creek is the cherry on top. The hosts were so kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back!!
We love being close to the water, and the beautiful creek just steps away from the lounge chairs was a big draw for us. Red Fox Retreat is an absolutely lovely home away from home. It is wonderfully comfortable inside and out, and completely stocked with countless thoughtful touches. It is super clean and well kept. The friendly deer were frequent visitors and we got the most amazing photos! Kim and Bill are fabulous hosts and we are already planning a return to see the fall colors!
This cozy little house with a creek running by was fantastic. The house was very nicely decorated. On arrival the dining table was set and a beautiful sunflower bouquet welcomed us to the view of the creek. The deer who played on the back lawn and all the hummingbirds added to the peaceful location. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pans. The host was extremely pleasant and responded quickly to meet all of our needs. This is a home we look forward to visiting again.
Great opportunity to stay within striking distance of the local area and still be able to enjoy nature. There are several places to stay "in-town' however, not many to step outside and really unwind and enjoy nature. The owners have attended to every detail you could possibly desire and left nothing to want. We used the cabin to set up a base camp to visit with friends and family and set out on adventures ranging from Lake Wallowa, Pendleton, Milton Freewater, Dayton and Walla2. If your looking for a unique and relaxing location to set up camp, this is your best option, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
We arrived in the evening, had absolutely no
Problem checking in. All the instructions were very clear and this place has all the comforts of home ! What an amazing place to spend some much needed down time! Nestled in the woods along side a beautiful steam , we got to hand feed deer, we munched in complimentary popcorn and hot coco. The beautiful sounds of birds chirping in the morning and the loveliness of tree frogs in the evening made for such a relaxing time . The attention and detail that this home provides makes it one of our top stays ! Thanks so much and if peace and relaxation is what youâre looking for, this is the place for you!
Where to begin? First we were greeted by the owners, who were incredibly thoughtful and kind. The little cabin is stocked with all sorts of surprises! If youâre a coffee drinker, you have three choices of ways to make it! And last but not least, the outside is absolutely beautiful! The sound of the creek and the hammock make for a very restful afternoon nap. And donât forget to feed the deer! So fun.
I would highly recommend for an anniversary or honeymoon spot! Or come alone to just get away from it all!
This was a spontaneous getaway for us and were able to book this gem in the woods a few days before we arrived. We can't say enough about how this was exactly what we were looking for and what we needed for a mental "reset." Everything was perfect from the time we arrived until we left. Kim goes above and beyond for her guests and it shows in every possible way. We planned to fit in a hike and time in Walla Walla, which we did do but found ourselves minimizing our outings so we could get back to the cabin and enjoy just being there. We ended up being so glad that we brought things to cook for dinner instead of going out. The deer greeted us each morning and came back in the evening to say Hi as well. The sound of the river lulled us to sleep each night and we finally got some of the best nights sleep we have had in months. Thank you again for sharing Red Fox Retreat and we will be back again very soon.
This was my favorite rental whether it was VRBO or the other platform. The owners are very thoughtful and caring. They ensure there are snacks and drinks available when you check in because they understand nobody wants to get in and then drive back into town to eat and shop for groceries.
The place is very quiet and its grest sleeping tobthe sound of the shallow river running over rocks in the backyard. The hummingbirds and deer are a common site along with some turkeys. The owners even have some deer food you can put in the grass to feed the deer.
Even though outdoor temps were around 100 degrees the trees keep the house cool. We opened the windows at night, closed them in the morning and didnt need AC until the afternoon.
We loved this place and want to make it an annual tradition. We really appreciated the lack of fireworks over the 4th of July. Very peaceful and i didnt have to deal with my army brain.
