Shelly Sands will feel like your home away from home, except with an amazing peekaboo view of the Gulf of Mexico!
We have sleeping for up to 6 guests (one KING bedroom, twin built in bunks in the common area, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area), a fully stocked kitchen and dining area for cooking during your stay, plenty of plush bath linens, and access to our community heated pool & hot tub. You'll have exclusive gated beach access right across the street from the complex!

Shelly Sands is a fantastic location for those looking for a fun getaway to Miramar Beach & Destin!! Our well kept complex at Gulfview II offers a community pool (seasonally heated), a hot tub, community charcoal grills, and an exclusive gated beach access just steps away from your front door. Parking is close to the building, making check in a breeze.

-A third floor condo means no footsteps above you, and a great peekaboo view of the Gulf from your cozy balcony.

What you'll experience staying at Shelly Sands:

As you arrive at our condo, you'll instantly feel "vacation mode" set in as you hear the splashing in the pool right at the entrance, and see the waves crashing right across the street from our place. Our building is closest to the parking lot, making it simple to come & go without the hustle and bustle a large skyscraper condo would have. Up to the third floor, you'll see our condo right at the top of the stairs, and enter with your private keyless entry code.

Upon entering, to the left is the King bedroom. A brand new 2022 commercial grade mattress will leave you with a great nights sleep! We have a Roku-enabled TV here, so guests can feel free to login to their own media while traveling-now that you'll have some extra time to kick back & catch up on your favorite Netflix show! Enjoy closet space, and a small dresser to store your belongings in during your stay.

The bathroom is en-suite with direct access from the bedroom. You have a toilet, furniture style sink & vanity, and a shower & tub combo. The bathroom has a "Jack and Jill" style entrance on the opposite side, making it easy to access for your additional guests as well.

The hallway to the living space offers a set of built in twin bunk beds, which is a great space for extra guests & always a big hit for kids! Under the beds we have some light beach supplies, however keep in mind these are just items that have been left by previous guests & not actively stocked or guaranteed. We do, however, guarantee all guests with a basket of beach towels for your stay!

The living room area offers vaulted ceilings, a commercial grade queen sleeper sofa, accent chair, Roku-enabled TV, and plenty of natural light from our sliding glass doors! Step outside onto our cozy balcony to enjoy seating to have a cup of Joe or an adult beverage while getting a "peek-a-boo view" of the waves crashing in the gorgeous Gulf Of Mexico!

The kitchen area is an open concept to the living room, with a breakfast bar & dining table with adequate seating for meals, or even a great workspace for those "work from home" trips. We have full appliances, dishes, silverware, bakeware, cutlery, crockpot, blender, toaster, a Hamilton Beach Flexbrew coffee maker (for standard drip coffee & Keurig lovers alike),and more. We ask that you bring along any spices, oils, condiments, and of course groceries, as these items are not supplied.

For our tiny travelers, we offer plastic dishes, cups, silverware, a high chair, and a pack and play. These items are always at the condo for our guests to use, so there's no need to pack them along, or pay extra to rent them.

You are directly off the staircase that leads to the pool and hot tub area, and laundry right outside the door (the laundry facility does accept cash/coins/cards). Parking is easy and convenient as well, with the lot right at the bottom of the staircase that leads to your place! Please keep in mind as this is a third floor unit, there are three flights of stairs. There is no elevator anywhere in the complex. If you have mobility issues, our place is likely not a good fit for your trip.

We can accommodate up to 2 vehicles in the parking lot, with provided parking passes for your stay. No golf carts/boats/trailers/RVs are permitted at any time (or HOA fees will apply).

All linens are provided for any length of stay, with a pay per load washer and dryer right outside the unit if needed for longer trips. Keep in mind when planning your arrival that we supply a small courtesy amount of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher/dish soap, laundry detergent, and soap that’s typically enough for the first 24 hours of your stay. For larger groups or longer trips it is recommended that you bring additional supplies as seen fit for your group size/length of stay.

Guests have full access to the condo, the complex pool & hot tub, pay per load laundry, free parking facilities, and the gated beach access right across the street (no major roads to cross, or crowded spaces!)

We are LOCAL & always available for questions before or during your stay. We prefer to be contacted by messaging directly through the booking platform you've chosen, so that we can ensure you get an immediate response. Please do not text us, and if placing a phone call be sure to know some info about your stay (the location of your stay and dates) so that we can provide you with the best service!

This condo is in it's own little slice of paradise! DIRECTLY across the street is gated beach access exclusive for Gulfview guests! You are also right along Scenic Highway 98, where there are many restaurants, beach stores, and of course our beautiful sandy white beaches! A few minutes drive in either direction will take you to Silver Sands Outlet Mall, Destin Commons (shopping/entertainment), Harborwalk Village, Big Kahunas, The Track, and many grocery stores, restaurants, and attractions for all ages. You can walk to the beach from here, and a few restaurants close by. Driving distance isn't far to anything at all as this is right across the Miramar Beach/Destin line!

PLEASE read our house rules in detail before booking. We take time to put important information here that we need each guest to take into consideration when booking our home. While not all items listed may apply to your stay, we host guests of various group compositions so must list all rules that could apply to a trip. Thank you for your understanding!

-PLEASE READ OUR HOUSE RULES ENTIRELY BEFORE BOOKING-

-This is a 3rd floor condo, with no elevator access, stairways only. This unit is not a good fit for guests with mobility issues or concerns.

-We regret that we are unable to accommodate any early check in unless we have communicated otherwise the day of your arrival. Please review all messages sent prior to your stay, and travel accordingly to arrive anytime after 4pm (Central Standard Time).

-Our home is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival & we attempt to catch every detail. If something needs attention upon check-in, please notify us ASAP so that we can properly address the issue. Please keep in mind that we are a small business that strives for the best, and that cleaning is done by fallible humans. Although we have a stellar cleaning crew, mistakes happen, and they are happy to remedy anything that was overlooked.
-No additional guests permitted other than the number booked in stay.
-We do not rent to student groups/under age 25 at any time. No exceptions can be made. Our HOA does not permit it.
-We are not pet friendly at any time, our HOA does not permit pets.
-Please dust sand from chairs/umbrellas/toys before bringing them indoors or to the patio.
-Checkout time is 10am and any guests or belongings on property after 10am will be subjected to an additional days and cleaning fee charge. Late checkout is not permitted.
-No illegal activity is permitted. No smoking in condo or on balcony at any time, or full security deposit will be enforced for odor removal.
-Any excess trash should be taken to the dumpster in the parking lot. Directional instructions are located at the base of stairway.
-Air conditioning should not be lower than 70 degrees. If ac issues are caused by guest freezing unit with temp found under 70 degrees, guest is responsible for repairs.
-Golf Cart/Trailer/RV/BoxTruck/Watercraft parking is not permitted at any time in our complex. Towing fees issued from the HOA do apply to any violation of this.
-Any and all issues must be disclosed during your stay prior to checkout or you will be held liable for any issues/damages. Property manager must be notified and given the ability to resolve any and all issues during your stay, or guests accept full responsibility.
-This property is AS IS and owners/managers are not held responsible for incidents, lack of amenities, or any other problems incurred. No refunds are issued for any reason whatsoever, and this is acknowledged by agreeing to these house rules.
-Checkout recommendations are: Strip linens from beds that have been used upon checkout, take excess trash to the dumpster in the back of the complex, and start dishes in dishwasher with provided detergent.
-We strongly recommend guests purchase rental/travel insurance for their own peace of mind during their trip.

Super close to the beach. Had everything we needed. The heated pool was great considering the weather was colder than expected. Had a problem with the microwave and the host responded quickly and offered to have it fixed that day. Overall great stay and would book again Just a note, the GPS in my vehicle tried to get me to cut through a gated community to get to the property. This property is not gated so take a regular side street to get to Scenic Gulf Drive or youll be stuck praying someone gives you their code to get in, as there is nowhere to turn around.

Great condo and perfect location! Easy walk to to beautiful and private beach. The condo was a little smaller than we expected, and was a little cramped, but was worth it, and would book again for a weekend getaway!

It was very nice, clean easy to take care of, but the unexpected surprise was the view of the gulf. Easy beach access, great location, would like to stay again. Was not happy with lack of paper products three years after Covid. Matt was fine had no issues but always prefer working with property owner.
