Square pond is an 877 acre, 10.8 mile perimeter (About 2.5 mile long) spring fed ULTRA-CLEAN lake. No weeds or vegetation to speak of. The lake body is generally 20-44' deep (Max. about 53'). Good fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass, brown trout (Maine state record caught here!), perch, etc. We've just finished a complete top to bottom updating, reconfiguration, whole house renovation that includes a new 310 sq. ft. master suite addition with king sized bed (with 4'x4' skylight above), laundry, and gorgeous bathroom. Second bedroom with queen sized, and third with full sized bed and sofa bed. These other bedrooms just completely re-done with new windows, carpet, walls, and whitewashed tongue and groove ceilings. Vaulted (same whitewashed T&G) ceilings in the new master suite, living room, and kitchen. 2 skylights in living room and 1 in kitchen. Glassed, (or screened as the large glass panel windows slide open), indoor porch with bar height dining table for 6 overlooking the lake, outside deck with dining table for 6, outside bar stools at countertop overlooking the lake. Fire pit with Adirondack chairs next to the lake. Large iron griddle top grill on the deck. Less than a 5 minute ferry ride from mainland. 4 kayaks, canoe, and life jackets for use. Bring your motorboat if you wish (Just be incredibly diligent in cleaning the exterior and motor carefully of any vegetation before bringing it please! Maine state law and VERY important for our lake). Walking or running path around the perimeter of the island, as well as middle island, that also allows access to two public beaches. Or just stay on the property and swim off of our dock, small beach or out to our float and lay in the sun and watch the island's nesting bald eagles fly over or listen to the loons and watch them fish.
A short, scenic 1 hour drive to North Conway, NH, 45 minute scenic drive to the coastal city of Portland Maine, and 35 minute drive to the coastal beaches of Wells, Maine. Under a 2 hour ride from Boston. We offer great check in and out times so that you can enjoy more of your vacation (1pm check in and 12pm checkout times)!
