Mt. Yale Chalet at Creekside chalets

Bask in lovely meadow and creek views when you choose Mt. Yale for your next vacation. This wonderful chalet is comfortable and sunny with all the comforts of home and then some. In the living room, you'll be able to enjoy great furnishings and decor as well as a 55-inch LED TV, a DVD player, and a gas fireplace stove. Just off the living room is the fully equipped kitchen. To make your vacation as convenient as possible, the kitchen comes complete with all the utensils, flatware, and dishes you might need as well as a blender, toaster, crock pot, microwave, refrigerator, four burner stove and oven. The dining table has room for four and the bar has space for two more. Everyone can easily gather together for a delicious meal.

Mt. Yale also boasts a large private deck with seating. Just steps from the deck is a charcoal grill, a picnic table, and a private outdoor hot tub. Parking for two cars is available.

If you need to get online during your vacation, we're happy to announce that WiFi service has been upgraded at the resort! The WiFi connection provides basic internet service with limited access to stream music & movies. The WiFi Instructions are provided in the chalet.

Visiting during the winter months? You'll have no problem staying warm thanks to the cabin's electric baseboard heaters and the gas fireplace. If you're coming in the summer, you stay cool with the evaporative air cooler unit.

Mt. Yale sleeps a total of 6 people. Sleeping accommodations are as follows:

-One King Size Cool Gel Memory Foam bed in the bedroom

-One Queen Size Murphy Bed in the living room

-One Queen Size Cool Gel Memory Foam Sofa Sleeper in the living room.

*Linens and towels are provided based on the occupancy provided at the time of the reservation.

Please note that Mt. Yale is PET-FRIENDLY. Pets are $30 per pet, per stay, max 2 pets. If booking travel through an affiliate website that doesn't apply our pet fees, fur baby fees will still be collected upon arrival.

Chalets are thoroughly cleaned upon check out. If you are highly allergic to pet dander, please be cautious of your allergies while staying at Creekside Chalets.

I liked the private hot tub and the outdoor area. The door to the outside had paint stripped off of it. Also, we ran out of body wash, and there was only two of us.

Comfy retreat amongst the aspen.

Thanks for the quiet and comfy place as a sweet rereat for a few days. It was convenient to Salida (art!). We took a pretty hike along the river and enjoyed some good eats in town (the newish Tacos Tapatio!!!). We appreciated staying away from town at night - quiet, babble of the stream, being amongst all those lovely, lime green aspen, and a very comfortable bed to sleep in. For sure, we'd come again! Also, the short welcome video for Creekside was really helpful!

That is such a nice way to describe the feeling when you pull into the chalets. It is just off the main road and is a vibrant mountain oasis with the creek and dense aspen grove, I think it showcases the best aspects of the Arkansas Valley. We are glad you had a relaxing stay. Be sure to come back to see the aspens show off all their colors in the fall, it is spectacular.

Perfect Escape

This little cabin was an amazing spot to recharge. Just a 10 minute drive to a Walmart and other destinations in Salida, this little secluded spot was just what we were hoping for. The hot tubs are kept in great shape, the space itself is very clean and neat. There are only 2 possible downsides to keep in mind. 1- there's no dishwasher (not a big deal, just be ready for that), and 2- the internet on-site is super slow. I'd also recommend that you bring a chromecast or streaming device if you want to just veg out in front of a screen for a bit, but the internet speed may inhibit your abilities to do so. So just be prepared to bring either DVD/Blu-rays or just watch what's on satellite. But then again, some good ol board games are probably even better 😊

We are so happy you had a lovely stay at the chalets and felt the space was neat and clean. Glad you got to enjoy time relaxing in the hot tub and soaking in the beauty of the mountains. We also wish there were dishwashers but that is not how the place was designed with the well and septic systems on site. We hope that people keep the cooking simple to not have to spend too much time doing dishes. The internet is the fastest available for our rural setting. As we know it is such a vital lifeline these days, we hope people are able to unplug and relax with some good ol' conversation, DVDs and board games. Now you know for your next stay, thanks for being great guests!

This place is fabulous!! Convenient to nearby areas. It’s clean, perfect size, comfortable and the bed was amazingly comfortable! Everyone we met there who was staying was very nice. Nice family atmosphere! I will be back. Already planning next ski trip!

Nice getaway for new parents!

My husband and I enjoyed our first getaway without the baby. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and a snowy hike nearby. Did miss having a dishwasher but the chalet was clean and cozy and relaxing.

This was an awesome place. Very quiet. Owners amazing... Chalet was clean... Plenty of hooks... Closet space... Towels...etc... Hot tub was clean and worked great... S'mores kit was fun... Already making plans for another stay.

Great little cabin

Super clean with saitization station when you walk in. Space was open and bed was comfy. Nice to have all the pots and pans needed for cooking. No issues with the Wi-Fi and streaming. Can't wait to come back. Hot tub was great for after snowboarding at Monarch.

Already booked again!

We had an issue with the fireplace the first night and I sent a message on VRBO. I was called back within minutes on New Years Eve and he tried to walk me through fixing it but we weren't able to get it working. He offered to come by that night but I suggested the next day. The maintenance guy came by the next day and had it fixed in no time! Great responsiveness and customer service - not to mention the place is really nice and clean and the hot tub is great!

Great vacation

We had a great time exploring near Salida and using monarch ski area. These cabins are clean and exactly as advertised. Jason the owner was very polite and easy going. Would use again in a second! We had a family of five and cabin worked perfectly.

loved the privacy of our own cabin

We stayed three nights at the Mt. Yale Chalet at Creekside Chalets. It is perfectly located between the charming town of Salida, Co. and the great skiing at Monarch. It is in a beautiful setting surrounded by aspen trees. The furniture was comfortable and the bed was fantastic.Best mattress I have ever slept on when traveling. Loved having two TVs and lots of channel selections. Nicely furnished kitchen. The owners are very attentive. Has to be in the top ten of the places we have ever stayed in 50 years of vacationing together.

The chalets have a unique layout that creates an ideal atmosphere for socializing, relaxing, and enjoying the dynamic mountain energy of the property.

We are committed to creating a resort that centers around the guest experience and allows people to relax, rejuvenate & enjoy this beautiful valley. We are both very passionate about the great outdoors and are skiing, mountain biking, and whitewater enthusiasts.
