Ce chalet pittoresque, acceptant les animaux domestiques (avec la permission du propriétaire) est à 1,6 km du centre du village de Skaneateles, à distance de marche facile. Il est situé sur une voie privée à environ 400 pieds du lac Skaneateles-aucune route à traverser. Le chalet est entouré d'arbres et très privé. Le chalet, pendant une promenade de 2 minutes sur la voie privée jusqu'au lac, comprend un porche privé séparé (bâtiment rouge rustique montré sur la photo) directement sur le lac, idéal pour les cocktails, les couchers de soleil, etc. Veuillez noter: le chalet rouge au bord de l'eau est réservé au stockage. Vous séjournerez dans le chalet browish qui est détaillé par les photos intérieures. Le chalet rougeâtre montre votre accès au lac. Il y a 2 minutes à pied entre le chalet dans lequel vous séjournez et votre accès privé au lac.
Le bord du lac est de niveau, a son propre quai et a une pente progressive idéale pour la baignade pour tous les âges. La ruelle est bordée d'arbres, très privée. Le chalet est chauffé. Le chalet peut accueillir une famille de 4 à 6 personnes, et dispose du wi-fi.

wonderful stay!

The cabin is in a perfect location, just minutes away from the village. The waterfront was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. The hosts were attentive, friendly and provided great communication. We loved our stay!

Convenient location

Cute rustic cottage conveniently located near the village of Skaneateles. Short drive into town to pick up groceries / supplies or visit the local shops and restaurants. While there is no view of the lake from the cottage, the short walk down the path is pleasant and the private shed porch / shoreline / dock provide ample opportunity to enjoy the lake.Walk-in access to the water made launching the kayaks we brought easy. The cottage is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed our trip and hope to return again.

Ideal Location

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the cottage. Very serene setting, yet so close to the village, which is a 25 minute walk away. Wonderful sunsets from the dock. Thanks to Andy!

Great getaway

Property was well located clean and unique The only small negative was listed as being air conditioned only primary bedroom has air conditioning. The view of lake from the dock was outstanding

We had a great stay!

The cabin was clean and welcoming, and had everything you might need for cooking and eating in. The property was quiet and it was a short walk to the lake front where you culd sit and enjoy the view. The owner was friendly and was kind enough to provide drinking water for us and our dogs, as there was some slight risk associated with the lake water, which he took care to advise us of when we arrived. There was a so a printout detailing the water quality issue and city contact information of we needed it. The town nearby was also very nice hand had lots of great spots to choose from for dinner.

The cabin was very nice it included a short stroll to be on the water.

The cabin was very nice. The bed was comfortable and we spent coffee time on the porch. It is a short stroll to the water where you can sit on a porch or dock on the water for a beautiful sunset. We brought our fishing boat and enjoyed relaxing and fishing on the lake. There is a great NYS boat launch on the west side of the lake. You do need to bring bottled water for drinking. Our dog seemed to enjoy her little get away. Thank you to the hosts.

Cottage

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was quaint, comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed the short walk to the lake each morning and loved the town of Skaneateles. I cannot give enough praise to our host Andrew. Throughout the reservation process, prior to our leaving, and during our stay, he answered my E-mails promptly and made sure everything was set for our arrival. Thank you Andrew and looking forward to coming again next year.

Lake Access Cabin

While our weather was unexpectedly chilly, our time away in the cabin was wonderful. We were supplied adequately with heat and with every possible device and appliance. We had a woodsy, charming and short walk to the lake which our Italian Greyhound especially enjoyed. The bed, the bedding, the towels, the dishes, the cooking utensils were good quality and more than adequate. And the availability of firepit and wood was an extra treat. Just being near the beautiful Village of Skaneateles was especially noteworthy. But, if your hope is to fish, bring or rent a boat or kayaks.

The one bedroom cottage was a comfortable stay for us. The size was good for us and it was very clean. Just about everything needed was available. The location was very convenient for the places we wanted to visit. It was surprising private considering it was really located in a neighborhood. We stayed in the fall so we didn't take advantage of the waterfront for swimming/boating. The small porch was nice. Communication was great, it was easy to get into the cottage. It is an older building with a cottage feel.

I’m giving this review to help people planning to stay here to be prepared for a few “gliches” in this property. First of all, if you’ve never been to this area, you will find the turn off to the property difficult to find. As described, it looks like a driveway, but is actually a gravel road leading down to the cabin. We passed it 3 times before being sure where to turn. Google maps gave us a different turn! The photos are accurate, but the term, “rustic” definitely applies. We were here in early fall, so needed AC as well as heat. One small AC window unit in bedroom, and a floor fan for cooling. The heating unit in the living room came on by itself and runs extremely loud. Again, just be aware.The biggest issues we had were having a kitchen with absolutely no condiments like basic salt and pepper, and the bathroom floor that is sunken in front of the toilet, and no soap or bathroom products. As I reread the description of the property, it does say no “disposables “. I guess we just didn’t understand that this meant you as the guest provide everything! Guess we were spoiled by the last place we stayed that had everything you could possibly need or want!If you want privacy, it’ll be good for you. There is a short walk down to the lake, which gives a nice view. And it does have a small rustic pier as pictured. We met the owners on our last day, and they were extremely nice. We didn’t bring up any issues with them since we were leaving the next morning.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Aside from being a great location, the cabin is cozy and pleasant. It was well-stocked with kitchen gear and things like towels and such. The bed was super comfortable. Andrew is great. Easy to talk to and responsive.Skaneateles Lake is a gem. I miss my daily swims!I would stay here again without hesitation.

Wonderful camp!

Had a great stay in Skaneateles, beautiful setting, with private water access to a gorgeous lake. Very very private and cozy, with wonderful nights watching movies together after moving my daughter to her new apartment. Restaurants were fabulous and very short drive, sleep was great with comfortable beds, and Andrew was so responsive. Despite the fact that it is on the same road as the owner it is very very private! I want to come back when we can spend all our moments there!

Rustic yet well-appointed cabin

Graduation SU stay

I decided not to book a hotel for my son’s graduation wknd and stay in Skaneateles. I wanted to stay out here for the last 4 yrs. Booked this little space on a whim and I’m so happy I found it. Host is so kind and helpful. The cottage is very clean and cute. Very clear instructions and absolutely breathtaking view to the lake once you get walk down to the path. Thank you.

We had a great stay at the cabin near the lake. Andy was extremely responsive and flexible with questions and adjusting our reservation. We stayed at the property during a heat wave, but there were plenty of fans and the bedroom had an AC unit. Everything was as pictured. Morning stroll to the lake felt like a movie… bunnies, chipmunks, ducklings all made appearances. The property makes you feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle but is a short drive or walk to the village.

Great Cabin!

We felt like we were in the middle of peaceful woods with our very own lake to skip rocks on. Then we jumped in our car and we were in the cutest town, Skaneateles, with shops restaurants and a great place to walk in just a 4 minute car ride! My kids want us to buy the cabin!

Lovely getaway

The place was great, roomy for just the two of us and our dog. I loved taking the short walk down to the lakeshore each morning and especially at night to see all the stars. Hosts were more than accommodating and friendly. We'll definitely stay here again!

A suggestion

since the property owner recommends that guests use bottled water for drinking, a couple of bottles to get a new guest started would be appreciated. also some detail on what is in the house before we have to ask. beautiful and clean property. we were not there to take advantage of all the amenities because we were having a family reunion off site but we would visit again.
