The North Cottage Hobbit Hollow Farm is a quaint and comfortable Cottage located in beautiful Skaneateles, NY, the Gateway to the Finger Lakes. Our property offers spectacular views of our own White Birch Vineyards and Skaneateles Lake, known worldwide for its unspoiled beauty. In addition to vineyard and lake views, our guest rooms overlook Hobbit Hollow Farm's beautiful barn and horse stables. Once offered exclusively in conjunction with our sister property Hobbit Hollow - we now welcome all guests to enjoy our little slice of heaven.

The North Cottage features three classic guest rooms, each uniquely appointed with well-crafted furniture and amenities that are sure to make your family getaway or girl's weekend away extremely enjoyable such as a whirlpool tub, full laundry room and smart TV. Luxurious beds and linens will ensure a wonderful night's sleep for every guest.

The North Cottage comes ready to go with a fully equipped kitchen and two separate dining areas, allowing any aspiring chefs in your group to prepare exquisite meals from Finger Lakes sourced ingredients. Or if going out on the town is more your speed, the Village of Skaneateles, only a few minutes’ drive from your front door, boasts a selection of many of the Upstate New York’s most acclaimed restaurants .

No matter the season The North Cottage at Hobbit Hollow Farm beckons you to explore Skaneatele's beauty. Choose from countless fun and exciting activities our area has to offer. Spend a leisurely day touring nearby wineries, as well as many other local distilleries and breweries. Enjoy boat tours and dinner cruises on Skaneateles Lake, and visits to local farm stands and markets. Avid or recreational hikers will find a wide range of hiking trail systems only a short drive away, including local state forest trails, Ithaca’s amazing gorges and Letchworth State Park – the Grand Canyon of the East. Or perhaps you want to experience the spectacular annual fall foliage or downhill skiing, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing when the beautiful Central New York landscape is laden with snow.

For days when you prefer to stay at your cozy home away from home, our living room provides ample space to hang out and enjoy a quiet day of games and reading and our large estate offers opportunities to enjoy walks, have picnics, and otherwise enjoy nature with your family and friends. So Perfect!

Beautiful setting, extremely comfortable beds, every detail thought of and we loved the decor. The central a/c was a bonus! Also appreciated the standing fans in each bedroom, as our family relies on white noise for sleeping. Will definitely book this rental again!

large family gathering over the 4th of July holiday. The North cottage was perfect spot for my daughter's family to relax and care for a newborn and 4-year-old...easy walk to the big house for fun and games. Very comfortable and well equipped

Beautiful cottage

The house was clean and stocked with all the essentials. I loved that they had a handful of kids books and pencil stroller available. The property and surrounding farm are beautiful and the location was nice and only a 5 min drive into the DT area. The property manager on site was also very welcoming and personable.

Peaceful paradise

We have stayed at the North Cottage several times and each time gets better. It truly feels like home! Best view, always clean, endless charm throughout the home and a very responsive host! I can’t wait to stay there again when I am back in Skaneateles visiting my family. Highly recommend this rental!

Fall Break

We picked our daughter up from Syracuse and stayed at the cottage with family. Loved the location, property and coziness of the home. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook or short drive into town for great shopping and restaurants. We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful

We used the cottage in addition to the Hobbit Hollow House and it was perfect. The cottage is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/plans/dishes/blender and Keurig. The location of the property is perfect with just a 3 minute car ride to the center of town. Will stay here again!

Beautiful Farmhouse

This farmhouse was the perfect place for my family of 4. We all had enough space to get ready, eat and relax. It was less than 2 miles to downtown Skaneateles. We spent much time and money at the shops! We hope to come back and visit again. If so, we’d love to stay at the farmhouse!

Beautiful and cozy!

Have rented several properties around the Skaneateles area. This is one of my favorites! Beautiful property and the cottage is very roomy yet cozy! All you need for the perfect stay. The added “welcome” bottle of wine waiting in the refrigerator was a bonus. Highly recommend! Will be back.

Splendid farmhouse on beautiful property!

First time staying at North Cottage, and loved it! Spacious rooms, lovely decor, generous kitchen, and the most beautiful wide plank wood floors. Close to town, view of Skaneateles Lake. On the pristine Hobbit Hollow Farm property. We missed the big house - but this was delightful. Would definitely stay again. Appreciated the wine that was waiting for us. Olivia is a great host. We were very sorry when it was time to leave!

Sweet cottage

Perfect for my son’s wedding at hobbit hallow. Met by property manager when we arrived who answered all our questions the cottage is well appointed pristinely clean and very comfortable for five adults. Charming setting with beautiful views. Close to the village. We loved it Thanks so much.

Charming Home: Together Time For The Whole Family

We rented here with our son, daughter in law and granddaughter to be close to our daughter, son in law, and 2 granddaughters who live in Elbridge. We then took turns hanging at either house because this one was so nice. We grilled one night and would’ve even played corn hole if it wasn’t so windy that evening. The cottage is very well stocked with all you need. The fenced in yard is very nice. We loved the front porch with lake view. The only draw back is the noise of the road. We were wishing the speed limit was 35 instead of 55 to lessen the traffic noise. We had a wonderful time and are definitely considering a future stay at tge north cottage.

Great Stay

We had a great stay at the cottage for a long weekend trip. The location on the farm was peaceful and remote but also close enough to the town! Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back.
