Four-Bedroom House with Great View! Pool Across the Street! Hunting Island Pass!
Come enjoy our Eagle's Nest get-away. We love sitting on our back porch watching the ospreys and other birds fly over as they come from the ocean. The Eagle comes from our total commitment to Georgia Southern Eagle football!
This house is located in the Nautical Watch subdivision on Harbor Island. Harbor Island is a quiet, guard gated community with a nice beach, club house, tennis courts, a basketball court, and a fitness area. You could easily walk to everything on the island. There is an island pool at the club house and a pool for Nautical Watch neighborhood only located directly in front of this beach house. The house is just a short walk from the beach; however, a recently refurbished golf cart is provided for your use as well. The island is typically very quiet and is a great place for families or anyone wanting a quiet relaxing vacation.
The house has bamboo wood flooring throughout the dining room, kitchen, and living room. The living room features a large flat-screen TV. There are also small TVs in each bedroom. The floor plan is very open with a large kitchen. The house has a split floor plan with two bedrooms and one bath on each side. Two bedrooms have sliding glass doors that enter to the large screened in back porch. There is also a large front porch. Local artwork is throughout the house.
A golf cart and miscellaneous beach toys are available with the house.

Beautiful neighborhood and gorgeous views from the back porch. House was roomy and had everything we needed. Especially loved the golf cart and the back porch. Oven and pots and pans could use an update.
The overall location was perfect as always! The keurig coffee maker was not working and the stove top burner needed some repair. Other wise everything was great!
The location of the house was great, right across from the pool, beautiful views of the March and still close to the beach. And the golf cart was amazing! The actual house could use some love, the toilet in the main bathroom runs constantly and the towel rack was broken. The pillows were not comfortable and the main TV was tiny. There were also lots of mosquitoes and spiders so bring your bug spray.
Cute house, spacious rooms, tons of seating options on the back porch, spacious and open kitchen and den area, beds was comfortable and they even had a pack and play for the kids. Only issue, which wasn't even an issue was the cleaning people seemed to have forgotten to vacuum up an area of trash after sweeping the kitchen. Not a big deal at all, we just wiped it up. Everything else was clean.
The house was a good size. The Table we dined at was perfect for when we had quest. We loved the back screened in deck. However the place needs a good cleaning and paint job. The carpet needs to be removed from the bedrooms, beyond gross. Mattress pads need to be updated, very stained. Along with the bedding and sheets. I bought a new coffee maker because I couldn't get the black muck out of the one that was there. I left the new one for the next rental. The hot water tank is new however it isn't big enough for 7 people. We were always running out of hot water. Forget dish washing/clothes washing on the days people showered, no hot water. The stove could also be upgraded. Cooking was very challenging on a "coil" Stove. I had to clean it before I could use it. Tide Watch property people were great. We couldn't use the grill due to it being so filthy, they brought a new one over right away. When we had questions they were always responsive and very nice. We have been going to Harbor Island for 5 years and I was so disappointed in this rental. I went on VRBO site and noticed "reviews" for 25 Nautical Watch have been taken down. This place needs updating a GOOD cleaning!! I would NOT recommend this house for rental nor will I rent it again.
This was my familyâs second trip to Harbor Island. Although we enjoyed the beach, there are a few disappointing things that kept our stay from being up to par. We really enjoyed having a golf cart to get things to the beach quickly. The house location was convenient to the pool in the community, however it was not advertised that the pool across the street would not open until May 1, only one day before we departed. This was the main reason we chose the home and were greatly disappointed to find this information out. The home itself needs a lot of repairs. My father had to re-hook up the dryer vent as it was disconnected. Cabinets were broken and a closet door was off the track. The dishwasher needed to be ran twice to rinse all of the soap off, and the microwave does not heat food. The vacuum cleaner also did not work. We could not use the grill provided as it was so dirty and caked with leftover food. We had to purchase another grill to use. We also found the coffee pot to be filthy with coffee spots left on the counter top underneath. We had to clean a lot before we could use it. Everyone from Tide Watch was very friendly, however I do not want to spend my vacation having repairs done to the home Iâm staying in. Old couches were picked up during our stay and Iâm wondering why it couldnât have been done before we arrived, knowing there was no one in the home before us as we were able to check in early. We will return to Harbor Island, however we would not stay in this home again or recommend it to others.
We enjoyed watching the sun. Come up over the marsh, relaxing on the beach, and riding the golf cart. Note to self the NO SEE UMS are awful in the evening so make sure you bring bug spray.
Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable seating and beds. Stunning views. Best porch ever - it overlooks a huge salt marsh. We will return.
For you birdwatchers - you can hear the Clapper rails calling at sundown. Good shorebirds on the nearby beach. A local birder tells me that marsh wrens and Seaside sparrows are easily found during breeding season.
