We had a great experience! The home was clean and so pretty. She provided plenty of towels and paper products, which not all vrbos do. The location was ideal to reach the museum district and so much more. I had an issue with the key pad, and the owner was prompt to reply and helpful. We highly recommend and would stay again!
Overall, I really liked my stay. The house was beautiful, and large. It was extremely clean. It was a little empty and echoey, though. The neighborhood was mixed, because in one direction was the pedestrian overbridge, and some unsafe characters, and then the other direction was a beautiful neighborhood with street after street of well-kept houses.
Had a great stay, the communication was great and the home is lovely. There were a few things that we went ahead and cleaned but it wasn't a big deal. I would stay there again.
Plenty of room for the whole family. The host was very informative and responded to my questions right away. The house is conveniently located near many downtown activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Nicely taken care of older home. Amenities included everything we needed and the owners were very easy to deal with. Proximity to the medical center, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. was perfect. We will be back.
Overall clean and in a safe neighborhood. It is a very old house and with that comes it charm AND it lack of electrical outlets. No outlet in the bathroom and only a mirror leaning on the floor in the bedroom to do hair/makeup. My daughter and I both had to sit on the floor each morning to get ready.. My husband ran an extension cord so he could use his CPAP. The kitchen pans/utensils are very limited and what is there is very low end. All the wall hangings are still leaning on the floor instead of hanging on the walls. Neighborhood is super quiet and it was an easy 10 minute drive to the convention center.
We stayed for a couple nights while touring Rice Univ, the house is not within walking distance of anything but is in a nice older neighborhood. The kitchen could use a few more things (cutting board, non stick pans) but overall the house fit our needs. **They have an alarm system that announces when the front door is opened, we spent the first 15 minutes of our stay thinking someone was in the house and freaking out! They should disarm that feature.
This is a solid option for folks wanting to stay near the museums at a reasonable price. The home is old and charming and has ample space. The kitchen was well stocked, the place was clean, and TV had Disney plus which was a hit for the kids. It does seem to be in a transitional neighborhood but we didnât have any issues. And if you have young kids, be aware there are multiple large framed prints and mirrors leaning up against the walls in almost every room. I was terrified my 2 year old was going to knock one over on herself but thankfully she listened for once! All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and how close we were to Herman park, zoo, and museums. Would definitely recommend!
The homeowner went above and beyond to provide us with a place to stay after the hurricane. If you want a kind and responsive host this is the place for you.
