great location, but unit needs attention to details
We chose the unit for its location, and because it included a washer & dryer. We were on a multi-week trip, so doing laundry occasionally was important. check-in: lock box code provided by the owner did not work. Fortunately, a cleaning person was next door when we arrived, and she provided us with a workable code.washer/dryer: The dryer drum did not spin, so it would not dry any clothing. Messages to the owner went unanswered. We were hoping the owner might suggest a Plan B -- such as, allow us to use the dryer in the other unit, which appeared not to be rented at this time.Timely communication is essential when staying in a VRBO unit. Text messages to the owner were our only means to resolve matters. This is adequate if responses are received. It would be helpful to have a phone number to contact a property management representative if the owner is not available. The owner wants to promote the property as being better than a hotel stay. At least at a hotel, there is a staffed front desk where guests can get a prompt response to a concern.
We enjoyed ourselves but they really need to give more than 2 towels for a three day stay. Also there are no wine glasses, 2 coffee cups and no real kitchen supplies if you wanted to cook. The bath mat was atrocious and I found an old floss thingy on the floor. Wish there were chairs to sit outside. It was decent for the price
The apartment is very outdated and humid. The livingroom area smelled like pee and the water wouldnt get hot for the shower. Wish the blinds would have completely covered the windows, my husband and i felt uncomfortable getting dressed. In despertate need of an update and TLC. We left after the first night. Wouldn't recommend.
Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Victorian in the historic district. The property is just a few blocks from Forsythe park. The home was clean and the bed was comfortable.
I donât think any of the negative reviews about Johnâs listing, took the time to reach out to John at any point during your stay. John was incredibly prompt, willing to fix any issues that I had within the hour or by the next morning at the very latest. He is incredibly hands-on, incredibly handy, and, despite the fact that I use this place as a temporary living space before I moved into my apartment, I would easily stay here again, without a doubt. Do not hesitate to book this property, itâs a beautiful place, in a beautiful location,
