Tattnal street; one of Savannah's little treasures - lined with beautiful period homes. The inviting layout is perfect for a small group, couple, or solo adventurer looking to experience all that Savannah has to offer.
One of four apartments in the building - please inquire for multiple bookings.
Please note, we are strictly following COVID-19 cleaning guidelines to keep you, our staff and all future guests safe!
Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Victorian in the historic district. The property is just a few blocks from Forsythe park. The home was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Ideal spot to stay in Savannah being far enough from the hustle and bustle that it is quiet at night, but still a perfect distance to walk to get to everything. Only issue was that the keys were mixed up and in the wrong lockbox, so it took well over an hour to get into the apartment once we arrived.
We enjoyed ourselves but they really need to give more than 2 towels for a three day stay. Also there are no wine glasses, 2 coffee cups and no real kitchen supplies if you wanted to cook. The bath mat was atrocious and I found an old floss thingy on the floor. Wish there were chairs to sit outside. It was decent for the price
I donât think any of the negative reviews about Johnâs listing, took the time to reach out to John at any point during your stay. John was incredibly prompt, willing to fix any issues that I had within the hour or by the next morning at the very latest. He is incredibly hands-on, incredibly handy, and, despite the fact that I use this place as a temporary living space before I moved into my apartment, I would easily stay here again, without a doubt. Do not hesitate to book this property, itâs a beautiful place, in a beautiful location,
great location, but unit needs attention to details
We chose the unit for its location, and because it included a washer & dryer. We were on a multi-week trip, so doing laundry occasionally was important. check-in: lock box code provided by the owner did not work. Fortunately, a cleaning person was next door when we arrived, and she provided us with a workable code.washer/dryer: The dryer drum did not spin, so it would not dry any clothing. Messages to the owner went unanswered. We were hoping the owner might suggest a Plan B -- such as, allow us to use the dryer in the other unit, which appeared not to be rented at this time.Timely communication is essential when staying in a VRBO unit. Text messages to the owner were our only means to resolve matters. This is adequate if responses are received. It would be helpful to have a phone number to contact a property management representative if the owner is not available. The owner wants to promote the property as being better than a hotel stay. At least at a hotel, there is a staffed front desk where guests can get a prompt response to a concern.
The apartment is very outdated and humid. The livingroom area smelled like pee and the water wouldnt get hot for the shower. Wish the blinds would have completely covered the windows, my husband and i felt uncomfortable getting dressed. In despertate need of an update and TLC. We left after the first night. Wouldn't recommend.
This property is in need of some love. The bathroom sink barely drains and the faucet barely works. Overall it's in rough shape. However it is on a quiet shady street in a good location, and it was very, very cheap. It's all about your priorities.
There were only two towels and two wash cloths there for my wife and I. One partial roll of toilet tissue left. Bed linens were left in washer and then comforter had to be washed. There was a daybed and two chairs in living room, which was ok but uncomfortable. Back deck was unfinished and unsafe. Overall it was a place to sleep, but not worth what we paid.
We arrived late evening to the location and had a hard time getting into the property. We had no idea if we were upstairs or down stairs because the lockbox keys were only labeled LOUNGE but when we got into the main door there was Lounge A And a Lounge B ⊠frustrating. Test both doors and Then we entered the unit⊠it was dirty! Bathroom had miscellaneous hair all over the place and the dark blue bedspread was also covered in it. Disgusting!!!
We just went to bed hoping it was a dream. The next morning the day light showed a lot more filth. Dust everywhere! All of the trim and floors where covered hair and dust. The bath towels smelled sour, mold in bathroom behind toilet and the shower was super gross too!
I am super disappointed in this host⊠after I booked he tried to tell me he didnât charge enoughâŠwanted me to pay more because of his mistake for the poorly written listing.
GREAT LOCATION but super disappointed in the cleanliness
The place was nice and clean. It was in a great location, but street parking could get a little tricky. Also, since it was on the 1st floor we could hear the running & hard stepping early morning.
This house was so cute and had everything you could need! I love how close it is to Forsyth Park as that is where I spend most of my time. No street noise either. I truly felt at home and didnât want to leave! I will be back and will be telling friends about it.
Communication with owner was promt and helpful. Location was good- within walking distance to everything and a cheap uber if you don't want to walk. The neighborhood was very quiet as was the unit itself. The property served all of our needs and was clean- it is older and needs some TLC but that didn't interfere at all with our stay.
First the bad: The property looks run down from the outside, the wifi password does not work and the owner will not respond to questions.
The good: We would stay here again. It is a bargain. There is a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The inside is in nice condition. It is on the outskirts of the historic district, near Forsyth Park and only an 8 minute walk to the trolley.
The email instruction sent to us said we were to be on the first floor. After we retrieved the key from the lockbox, the key did not work at the first floor A apartment. My husband went upstairs and the key worked upstairs at that apartment so we moved our luggage up very steep and narrow stairs. My husband is 74 and we were not expecting to be upstairs. The WiFI email instructions were given to us, which did not work at all! The WiFi instructions on the mantel in the property did not work either! We were very frustrated because we couldn't even get in touch this VRBO management or owner! The old home is old we understand that. I grew up in an old Victorian home in Louisiana. But this house is in disrepair. The bannister is broken; the front window upstairs is in need of repair. The window and frame are not connected and there is a gap/hole in it. The sheer drapes are not sun block at all. Might as well not have drapes. The drape on the window at the bed is a sheer and one can be seen from the street. There is no landscaping and looks terrible in the middle of the beautiful Historic District! It was embarrassing to go up to that front door from the street! The brick sidewalk is in need of repair. There are loose bricks all around.
We have photos if you need them. We have never had any property ask us to start a load of towels in the washer before we leave! We did, however, put the towels in the washer and take out all of our trash. We loved Savannah, but would never recommend this place to anyone!
This property was probably the worst place we have ever attempted to stay with VRBO. We have had good experiences in the past- but this was beyond description.
Dirty, 2 dirty towels hanging over shower rail, bed had not been changed, broken shade in bedroom, full trash cans, empty wine bottles around, no running water in bathroom sink, kitchen sink full of dishes. And it was not clean. It is completely unacceptable - Especially when one is trying to be extra careful during the end of this Covid epidemic. I would not think that VRBO would want this type of place connected to their name. And the owner was very nonchalant about our frustration. We had a deadline - and could not wait for three hours for someone to repair the place. ( If possible ). Very Very disappointed in VRBO
