Prime Location
Pleasanton is just north of Hindes Hideaway & hosts the Atascosa Flea Market every Friday in front of the Atascosa Livestock Exchange. You can also shop at the Royal Farmers Market on Saturday for fresh produce & heavenly baked goods.

Choke Canyon Reservoir is about a 50-minute drive to the east. Known for great boating & fishing, this is also a stop for many migratory birds & is teeming w/ wildlife.

If a trip into San Antonio for a day is on your mind, it is an hour north.

Chaparral Wildlife Management Area is nearby as well & known for its hiking & wildlife, however, please check the website for seasonal openings.

Guest will have exclusive use of the house on the privately gated property. The house is secluded but we ask that you stay in the yard in order to respect our neighbors & their property.

We have Hunting & Fishing Connections in the area and are very resourceful! If you are interested in booking a private paid hunt or fishing trip nearby, ask when you inquire!

A guided hunt on a nearby private ranch is an excellent way to make sure that your party enjoys their time out in the brush while also getting the best that the area can offer. We have contacts that specialize in: Dove, Quail, Whitetail deer, Turkeys, Hogs & Exotics! Whitetail hunts in S. TX can sometimes book up to a year in advance. We will release guide & ranch contact info to you upon booking our lodge so that you may finalize your private hunting trip!

WiFi
We have an AT&T Hotspot for WiFi connected to Google Wifi to spread reliable, fast wifi throughout home. Wifi Speed anywhere from 111-250 Mbps.

Nature
You may hear coyotes at night, birds chirping in the trees & may encounter wild creatures such as (but not limited to) snakes, turkeys, rabbits, deer, bobcats, spiders, lizards, geckos, mosquitos, bugs/pests during your stay in the south Texas Brush Country. Children must be supervised at all times. Always be aware of your surroundings. We do not offer refunds or discounts if you happen to see bugs/pests/wildlife/non-venomous and venomous snakes that you are not familiar with or may scare you.

* The property is equipped with 3 outdoor surveillance cameras to monitor the exterior doors & outdoor areas. One is located at the front entrance pointing towards the front porch, 1 located at side laundry entrance pointing towards yard, & 1 located on side patio off master pointing towards yard/patio & are actively recording and monitoring the property. Security cameras monitor 24/7 while no guests are in the home & may be monitored to count the number of guests entering the home & to see if service providers show up, or if we get noise complaints from neighbors or our housekeeper calls about excessive guests or vehicles. We turn off notifications & do not monitor the security cameras while guests are in the home for any other reason. We want our guests to enjoy their privacy. There are no video or audio devices of any kind in any living area within the home.

The home is very creative, airy & full of spirit. If your expectation is a perfect green lawn, this place is not for you, but if you are looking for a place to relax that is clean, personality rich, stylish & an amenity full space in the south Texas Brush Country, this is your place!

****CANCELLATIONS: We do recommend Travel Protection, which you will be offered at check out. You are aware of the risks of flight cancellations & delays, becoming ill, being injured, having a work situation or family situation between now & your arrival date, or bad weather during your trip. In the event of cancellations or shortened stays made after the Cancellation Period & you did not accept the Travel Protection, you will be responsible for the full amount of the total booking charges, unless you cancel (so our calendar can re-open) & we rebook the dates at the same or higher rate. If rebooked at a lower rate your refund will be based on that rate.
