Slim's Hideaway - Cozy cabin with spectacular lake view

This two-bedroom cabin includes a comfortable queen size bed in the main floor bedroom, a futon in the living room that sleeps two, a downstairs with a child sleeping nook as well as a futon that sleeps two. There is a large deck upstairs that overlooks the lake, the perfect place to sunbathe or enjoy a morning cup of coffee or barbeque on a new Weber grill. There is a patio with a table and chairs for outside dining downstairs. A 5-minute walk takes you down to the lake and Sunnyside fishing access. Also, you can't have a cabin without a fire pit (availability dependent on fire conditions) to sit around and tell stories or sing songs, located just outside of the cabin. There are several adorable vintage accessories as well as a fun child's sleeping nook/hideaway for the kids. This relaxing cabin is full of charm and perfect for a quiet family getaway.

Wonderful Location

I highly recommend this property. There was a abundance of wildlife and things to do in the outdoors with a beautiful view. The cabin was clean and cozy. We will definitely be staying here again.

Family reunion

Our family stayed here while attending a family reunion. Great location, close to lake and other campgrounds. Quiet with resident moose nearby! Kitchen had everything and beds were comfortable . Loved the deck and view!

Great Views and Convenient to the Lake.

This was a comfortable and unpretentious place to enjoy as few days at the lake. Reminded me our cabin growing up. Cindi was a great host and very responsive.

Beautiful Place

We enjoyed the beautiful view and checking out the town of Philipsburg. The house has everything you need for a fun filled weekend.

Thank you Kristi, It has been a pretty snowy winter and I'm glad you were able to take advantage of the ice fishing. I agree, I never tire of looking at the view. You certainly are welcome back to experience the warmer seasons as well. I'm not sure what happened with the rating. I did not have a chance to do it, but somehow it showed up. You definitely get the highest ratings in all categories. The cabin was very clean and it was a pleasure working with you. I'll call VRBO and see if I can edit the rating.

Definitely stay here if you love sitting on the deck watching the play of light over mountain tops and water - it's a wonderful place to rest and recharge

It's equally as breathtaking in the winter when the mountains are covered with snow and the frozen lake is dotted with colorful little fishing huts. What a Gem!

Wonderful views!

This was our second stay at Slim's and we had a wonderful time. The house is small, cozy and perfect for our family of four which includes a 5 and 6 year old. The best part of the cabin in our opinion is the view and the deck that over looks the lake! We hope to visit again some day and make more memories.

Great stay. Only issue was some hair in the shower & TV reception would freeze the show…. But not a big deal because we hardly watched it. Cute, cozy, and so QUIET!

Thank you Lana for your comments. They are so helpful. I have a new housekeeper and I will pass this on. As for the t.v. reception, satellite is my only option at the lake right now, and it can get slow. However, high-speed internet is on the way, under construction, and hopefully available late Fall or early Winter. Thank you for your patience.

Birthday Celebrations

The place was perfect for us! Cindi was wonderful, we had a last minute cancellation on a different property and she was so accommodating! We were very close to the lake for ice fishing, perfect sleeping arrangements for our family and our pups. Beautiful view so sad our weekend has come to an end, until next time :)

Phenomenal Experience

This host is unparalleled! Flexible-we had to switch our dates 3 times and NOT ONCE did she act put out. She was overwhelmingly gracious and accommodating!The place is super cool with a great view.I know there are only 5 but this place is a solid 10 in everything! Would we again? Ummm duh, ABSOLUTELY! Would we recommend-100%!!

Amazing!

We had such a great time at this little piece of paradise! The cabin matches the description and was just great! Amazing views of Georgetown lake and the kids enjoyed sledding. We spent 2 days at Discovery Ski Resort and you are only about a 20 minute drive away. The cabin was very clean and the host was fantastic to give us our space and ensure we had everything we needed. The only issue was the kids arguing over who got to sleep in the awesome nook! I highly recommend this cabin and we will be back!

Beautiful Scenery

Georgetown Lake is a gem! This is a great small cabin for a family or a few friends. It only has one bathroom with a stand-up shower so keep that in mind. The kitchen was small but workable, even for our family of five. Plenty of kitchenware to use, make sure to plan meals because there aren't many options close for dine-out or even take-out. The view of the lake is gorgeous and the property owners are super helpful and attempted to fix any issues we had right away! Highly recommend!
